The troops are loyal to Tahiri, not her mule sister))

It was another night rest. The Confederate troops were suffering. They just couldn't stand up to the ambushes and traps. Morale was low until that message was recived. Excited young officers spred the word that contact had been made, while The General worked on what it may say. Presumed message This message is in responce to final -unknown- tide and -unknown-nt fleet is inbound to excact location(?) Estimated time of arival two days. Hold out men. Over The General wasn't happy with the time he had to hold. Still, unknowing that Tahiri's abdication had occured, he smiled. It was typical of the Emporess to send in a large help fleet. Orders were dispatched to the army. They were going to make for the abandoned fort a few miles from their first drop zone. The troops cheered tiredly as they made their way. Few were now without smiles. Just 2 more days of hell.

The fort was under attack, bodies were everywhere. When the radio buzzed with the message, one of the soldiers, his stomach burnt clean through, pain ridden and dying crawled to the beacon, sitting on a box as if it didn't have a care in the world. He moved to activate it, before callapsing sideways, his soul blinking soundlessly away alone with hundreds of others.
As the enemy moved away, the troops cheered tiredly, kneeling and some vomiting with exaustion. A few stared up, wishing the fleet would come, when the hyperdrive window's opened. They cheered loudly, and many moved to see them. The wounded were taken to a tent, the General was among them, hit in the knee by a stray blast. He moved from the tent on wooden crutches, looking up at the ships.

Confederate Hold Out Fort
The two warships opened fire on the enemy troops as fighters began to rake the ground in weapons fire. Twenty transports broke from the ships and screamed down. They began landing around the fort and dispersing marines. They held position as medics began to evacuate the wounded and exhausted troops. The marines get back into the transports as fighters cover their retreat. Once onboard the two warvessels the injured are treated in the hanger bays and the two ships jumped to lightspeed.
((I puppeted your character to get the storyline a movin'.))

((Says the girl who made us all wait ages))
The unharmed, few as there were all lay where they stood, and slept. All the troops in any state to slept did, except the General, who was moving around the ship, trying to find out who was in charge.

Three Federation battleships revert to realspace in orbit of Corvania. They hail the planet and demand to meet with the Hegemony's leader. They are greeted with a reply that he will be up to discuss whatever they want to discuss, however, their ambassador must meet on his ship.
