Skipping from the tree, Twinkleshine's freshly dried and brushed pink hair and tail bounced with each of her steps. She was dressed fairly regularly, as in not at all, except for the lone, large bow tying part of her hair up. It was the only thing she had brought with her from her parents, so she only brought it out for special occasional. A first date is a special occasional, right?
Honestly, she hadn't been so sure of this guy when they first met. His appearance had been so different from anything she had seen, even far different than her best friend's, and he kept getting into what little personal space she had. It was like he wanted to get into her metaphorical pants. Despite that, after talking with him more and getting to know him more, she believed that she had misjudged him. Ocie was simply a nice guy, like many she had met, and she needn't let any of her initial reservations prevent her from getting to know him even better.
And from enjoying this date.
Oh, how excited she was. Already she had been asked to dates twice since her arrival, and by such nice guys as well. Maybe this one would become her second best friend here. Those sort of thoughts needed to wait until she actually reached the meeting spot, and she slightly increased her pace to ensure that she would arrive on time.

Ocie grinned, flitting from one tree to the next. He was excited for this. It had been... Well no, this was his first official date. With anyone. The thought made him pause. That was a little sad. He thought he was a ladies man, and here he was. First time even having convinced a lady to go out with him..
Shaking it off, the sprite flicked his tail. He was waiting for Twinkleshine to show up once again. He'd asked to meet up in the same spot they had met at the day before. The male enjoyed being able to see her from a distance. Maybe that was why he was sitting so high up in the trees now that he had stopped flitting.
He smirked, looking at the small package in the trees. He'd packed them a lunch as he planned on taking her to a spot he'd found a few months back. It was a hike from where they were, but the view was amazing. Ocie just hoped she would like what was packed.
It wasn't long until he spotted the familiar pink hair curled very attractively on her white fur. She was bounding along really fast. He grinned, starting to descend from the tree.

Nearing the spot, Twinkleshine slowed her pace, not wanting to be out of breath when she actually met up with him. Shaking her head, she sighed, calming her heart before continuing onward. Pretty... She had to look pretty for a first date, cause then it would be easier that there would be a second one.
A second one could become a third one, which could become a fourth...
No! Stop romanticizing! Looking around, she ran her hands against the bark of the trees, trying to find where her date could possibly be. She was never good at actually finding her friends, or going to the right place, so she wasn't very confident that she had even found their meeting spot.

Ocie dropped out of the tree he had been sitting in. His naiad fins had landed to the side of her, having tripped himself upside down. "Hi there." The sprite chuckled, looking at her. He just hoped his wings weren't damaged.
He didn't fall through trees very often anymore, but when he did, his wings were always his first thought. With a small glance over his shoulders, Ocie righted himself.
"Fancy meeting you here." He chuckled, smiling.

Turning around, catching a face-full of random fin, Twinkleshine flushed lightly before crossing her arms, going along with what she assummed to be a joke. "Oh yes, it's pretty unexpected running into you here; not like we had a date planned or anything."
There was a slight worry at the back of her mind that he had actually forgotten and wasn't just messing with her, but trusted that he remembered.Ocie smirked. "What is it you enjoy eating? I've got a picnic basket a few large branches up." As he spoke, the sprite was starting to gain some height. He'd entirely forgotten about the lunch he'd made for her. It wasn't quite right of hm to not ask her out for food right? Too bad he only had the one kind.
"We'll have to start a fire and cook it when we get there, but I've got something I hope you'll like in it." Watching him start to rise, she smiled softly. Yay~ He'd remembered about their date, and he even brought food! How romantic~ "I really like sweets: cakes, pastries, candies. Anything like that really is my favorite." A fire? She'd never made a fire, but hopefully he knew how. It'd be silly to bring something that needed to be heated if he hadn't anyways.
"Oh?" Here eyes lit up, "Where are we going?""I don't have anything like that..." He actually had no idea what most of the stuff she had said was. But he did have some really good meat. He'd been hunting for a while since she had agreed to go on a date with him. It was all red meat, he wasn't very good at fishing. Maybe it was because it felt like he was eating his kin.
"We're going on a hike, and then to a very lovely hidden spot in the forests." He grinned. Shrugging, Twinkleshine twirled her back to him, deciding that it'd be more fun to act the part of the tease. "Well, guess you won't be getting my heart tonight~" Oh goodness, how corny that sounded. Was that the right way to flirt? Did she want to flirt with him in the first place? Oh well, too late now.
Oh, a hike? "I've never been on one of those; will it be a fun time?" She sure hoped it would be.He disappeared for a moment, grabbing a basket and returning. "That's too bad. I'll have to ask you out again to make sure I get it." Ocie smiled, kissing the top of her head.
"Hikes, they generally involve a lot of walking. Either up a hill or a mountain, or across a trail. Today, it's through a trail." He grinned. Squinting her eyes as he kissed her head, her cheeks flushed lightly. Waiting for him to pull away, she glanced downward for a moment before looking up to him, smirking, "Maybe you will have to."
Ah, so walking or, in his case, flying. There are worse things you could do on a first date. Hopefully he knew the trail and the location well. "Sounds like a plan to me." Gesturing forward, she chimied, "Lead the way monsieur""Maybe?" He teased, looking at her. "So there is a chance." Ocie stifled a chuckle. She was so cute, flirting like that.
He offered his hand to her. "The trail starts just over here. At least one of the three we'll have to take. Don't have to cut through too much that's not a trail." The sprite smirked. He'd make sure she stayed safe while they were travelling. Twinkleshine shrugged again. "There is, for now. We'll have to see later if it still does." Surprisingly, this didn't feel too out of charecter for her. Normally she wouldn't actually -say- any of it, but would still think it anyways. Playing the part, she could just break out even more.
Taking his hand, she curtsied softly before allowing him to lead her, her hair's soft curls bouncing against her ivory skin. "That's nice; wouldn't want to brave through the forest after having gotten all prettied up for this." Oops! She wasn't meant to admit she'd put effort into getting ready. He chuckled this time. He couldn't help it. "I promise not to let your gorgeous curls get harmed at all." He assumed it was what she had gotten ready for. She was a sight, now that he stopped to look at her. Utterly gorgeous. And he just couldn't get over it.
"I'll carry you if you we come across mud." Blushing rather brightly now, she laughed a bit heasitantly, trying not to get to embarassed. Her trying not to though only made her more, and soon the tips of her ears were lightly flushed as well. Coughing, she tried to quickly maintain her composure, before adressing him again. "Thank you"
Moving ahead, she began walking with him."You look amazing Twinkleshine." And he meant it. She was one of the most gorgeous creatures he'd laid his eyes upon. It was rare moments like this when he meant what he said. Sure, he flirted with any female he met, but this one.. He liked this one more than most of them.
"The easiest way to get there is through here. But I want to give you the choice of ease over speed." Oh god, oh god, oh god, she just couldn't handle those compliments! At this point, her cheeks were probably as pink as her hair; he thought she looked beautiful? Nobody had ever told her that! Well, not that she could remember at the moment.
Looking to the path, she shrugged. It was all the same to her. "Whichever you think is best.""I'm good with whatever path. I'm more concerned about you though." He smiled, caressing her cheek gently. "I don't want to mess with your hair more than you're willing to." Ocie smiled, waiting for an answer. Looking away, a chill ran down the back of her spine at his touch. It wasn't as gross as it had been the first time... It was actually pretty nice... No! Focus, focus... "Let's go the faster way then; I think I can handle it""Alright" He grinned, leading her through a bit more of the woods that hadn't been broken through yet. He couldnt' get the feel of her soft fur off his fingers. The sprite wanted to touch her again, yet he couldn't. He knew he couldn't. She wouldn't have let him right?
"The trail starts just over here." He pointed, at her. Stumbling a bit as she moved through the uncharted paths, she internally made fun of herself for trying to seem cooler and choosing the harder path. Oh how she couldn't wait to be out and back on a path she could actually follow.
Following his finger, she sighed a bit louder than intended, happy to have reached it and speeding up her pace ahead of him to get to it even faster.Ocie blinked, realizing she was having problems. Okay, that made his next path choice. "Are you alright?" He asked, flitting forward a bit to hold a branch out of her way. They would have had to go through most of this anyways, but they might have had an easier time getting there than if they had picked this one.
"This trail goes on for a really long time. I've got it marked way up to know where to turn" Looking to him, she laughed lightly, embarrassed that he had noticed her small problems. "I'm fine, really!" she insisted, happy just to have reached a trail rather than wilderness.
Turning back to look at him, she smiled earnestly. "Well, I think the trail will be a lot nicer, and I'm sure that wherever we're going will be nicer still." Or, she really hoped it would be. She'd hate for such a nice beginning of a date to end up badly."I think you'll like it. It's a distance, but it's not far enough for me to dry out." He smiled, thinking the trail was just a bit rough. He really wasn't sure. It didn't bother him any, as he could normally just fly overtop of it. It was almost unusual for him to go through the trails. But at least they were well marked trails. Right?
"If you get tired, please let me know right away."

Nodding, Twinkleshine decided to make a somewhat snide remark about the fact he was just flying over her. "Is it harder having to wait on me to walk through here? I imagine it'd be nicer to do something like this with someone who could fly like you""I quite enjoy floating like this with you. It's a little strange to be down here on the way, but I'm used to going at the pace of others." He shrugged, "Unless you'd like for me to fly you there?" Blinking, Twinkleshine's mouth dropped ever so slightly. Him... FLY her... there? He could do something like that?! He could actually carry her and fly her there? "Really? You can support my weight and yours?" It was just too amazing to believe "Well, they may look delicate, but my wings are very strong." His head tilted. He wouldn't carry her too far off the ground, just in case. He'd never actually carried another, but he was confident he could. "Maybe not too far off the ground though" Her eyes sparkling, she moved closer to him, her hands behind her back, pushing her chest out ever so slightly. "Really~? Could you? I've never been off the ground!"Ocie, being of the male persuasion, really couldn't help but stare at her chest. His jaw almost dropped a bit when she really wanted to take him up on the flight. "Yep, I can." He smiled, finally shaking himself from staring at her gorgeous body. That in itself was almost an acomplishment.
"Um... Come a little closer?" He asked, a little nervous about how this was going to work. She wanted to see the world from above, which meant either riding on his back or him holding her tight around the waist. Likely, tight around the waist, he didn't think she'd fit on his back with how much space his wings took Twinkleshine flushed lightly at being stared at, breaking eye contact until he stopped. "Oh, okay" Moving a bit closer, she moved to slightly awkwardly wrap her arms around him before looking to him, questioning, "Now what?""This is going to be a little... Scary at first." He offered, blushing as he bent to scoop her up. He kept one hand on her back, the other holding just under her knees at her thighs. The sprite had managed to get her in a princess hold.
"Are you ready Twinkleshine?" Ocie asked, blushing still. If this kept up, his face would match his eyes for color Looking up at him, her arms gripping a bit tighter around his next as he moved to lift her up, she nodded once. Oh... Just how simply romantic this was; the way he was holding her, the way he was treating her, it was all just so... She couldn't dare say it! Smiling at him she nodded before looking away and ahead of him. "I'm ready." With a bit of effort, she wasn't as heavy as he thought she would be. Not that he had thought she was going to be heavy in the first place, Ocie lifted off the ground. He didn't go too far into the air, not high enough to avoid all of the trees. At least not yet. He had to make sure he was going to be able to carry anyone any distance. It helped that she was so light though.
"We're in the air Twinkleshine." He smiled, wings flapping more than usual. He was going to need to rest for a while after this. A good long wile. Twinkleshines eyes simply lit up as they lifted from the ground, a soft gasp escaping her lips and her grip instinctively tightening further. Wow... Just... Wow... She was flying... She was FLYING! Laughing she leaned her head against Ocie's chest for a moment.
"This is absolutely incredible!" She exclaimed as they went, her eyes simply taking everything in and her mind racing to quickly to remind her that she might be afraid of heights. "Is this what you always see?!"He choked a bit as she tightened her grip. But her cheek felt so nice against his chest. He just wished he could breath. Ocie offered her a smile, choking out a bit of a sound.
"Ye-yessss" He hissed a bit. He couldn't let go of her for fear of dropping her. Not even to loosen her grip on his neck. Ack, he couldn't even enjoy her being in his arms like this Blinking as she noticed that she was gripping him rather tightly, rather unladylike, she quickly released some of her grip, letting her hands rest there more for support than strength. "Haha, sorry about that..." She said softly as she again looked ahead at the forest floor.Ocie took a deep breath, appreciating the oxygen as it entered his lungs. "Oh guardians, thank you. I can breath again." He chuckled, starting to take them a little higher. "Do you want to see it from where I normally fly?" Looking back up at him, Twinkleshine blinked. "You fly higher than this?" She just couldn't even fathom what it was like to be able to be so high up at any time you wanted. This must be what its like to be a pegasus"I fly above the trees normally." He grinned, selecting a good spot to ascend through to the tops of the trees. It wasn't long until he'd reached their goal height. If she reached out, she could touch the tops of the trees. He wasn't going to risk going any higher. It would hurt them both too much if he couldn't hold them up Gasping loudly, Twinkleshing just looked with awe at everything she could see. There was just so much around, so many trees, and the mountains on the horizon, and the lake in the distance. Everything was just so... amazing... Giving him a soft squeeze she lightly thanked him for this.
Man, though, if it was taking them this long to get to the spot through the air, who knows how long it would have taken on foot.Ocie didn't take too long getting them to the clearing. He was used to flying there, and knew exactly where it was from the sky. "Sorry, ascent takes a bit of time." Ocie shrugged, smiling. He enjoyed it at least.
"I hope you like the view." He grinned, starting to fly down once they reached the clearing.

Shaking her head, Twinkleshine was quick to reply back to him, "Nu-uh, thank you for even doing this for me. It's been an amazing experience that I don't think I'll ever be able to forget," especially since there was still more of this experience to be had. They hadn't even really started their date yet, only arrived at the location. Lightly gripping his neck once again, she carefully moved to set her legs back on the ground as they landed, using it to steady herself.
Looking from the clearing, she grinned and leaned over to place a soft kiss on his cheek. "It's wonderful~" she mused softly before letting go of him and skipping further into it.

Ocie grinned, very glad to have his arms free and a chance to rest his wings. He didn't let it show just how tired this simple trip had made him.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it Twinkleshine." He smiled, curling his fins under him. The sprite was very very tired. Ocie's eyes closed. "Hungry?" The male asked, offering her the picnic basket that he'd managed to bring along. Wow, he had carried a lot.

Turning to look back at him, Twinkleshine tilted her head slightly forward and to the side, her soft curls falling against her shoulders. "Hungry?" She paused before shrugging. "I guess I could eat if you want to. This is a special date after all." Laughing, she came back closer to him, "What did you bring to eat?"

Ocie shrugged, he wasn't really hungry so much as tired right now. He'd never carried so much weight in his entire life. The sprite rubbed the back of his neck, flipping open the basket with his free hand. "Mostly it's fruits. I won't fish." He grinned a bit. He didn't have a problem hunting, but he didn't enjoy catching fish. They felt like family sometimes, he couldn't destroy his own family.
The sprite grinned, showing her what he'd brought. "I hope you like fruits"

Grinning, she came closer again. "Oooh, fruits? I love fruits! Absolutely love them like nothing else... Except maybe cake... Nah, I like cake more, but fruits are still good!" Reaching into the basket, she grabbed a mango from it, wondering where he'd managed to find one here. She then took out a pear and handed it to him, smiling, even though he could have easily gotten it himself. "Here ya go!"
