Fae froze. Oh no, she was caught! She waved back sheepishly, then nodded to Foenix. "Yeah, I'd love to help clean up. At least I could do something to help," she half smiled. But as soon as she were about to step up to Aly, he wizzed by them and she quickly looked to the door. "What the..?" She blinked. She thought the team of archeologists left the island. Perhaps not? She noticed the alarmed face on one of them wearing a red cross on his shirt pocket. She furrowed her brow and watched them talk outside for a moment before they left.
She turned to Foenix. "I've been needing to talk to Alyosha for a few days now," she sighed, spilling her frustration out. Better out than in, right? But she wasn't angry. "Anyway, what do you suppose that was about? I thought the archeologists had left when we got here," she thoughfully put. Hadn't they?
Pueblo's feathers flew as the man dashed past her, ruffling her feathers up and sunk her head into her shoulders. She blinked, watching the scene for a moment before she gave Nehanda a hard nuzzle- nothing painful though. Just mostly abbrute and sudden.

Foenix frowned and shook her head. "I have no idea. i certainly haven't seen any of them around . . . On the other hand, the dig is on the opposite side of the island. It may simply be that they haven't been around much."
She stared rather absently out after the guest of honor, and took a bite from a mushroom.
Nehanda had jumped up when aly ran by. Now, however, she rejoined Pueblo and merped at the nuzzle. She flipped her tail up playfully so that it covered the other gryphon's face, making her look very silly.

Pueblo's eyes crossed as new hair suddenly landedon top of her head. "Hoop?" She blinked, her head twitching. If she looked silly the first time, she looked even funnier now! She flicked her tail against Nehanda's rear, though not meaning too.
Fae nodded, then decided she was too tired to stand. Definately early to bed for her tonight. She then spotted a comfty cushion on the ground and fell onto her side over exaggeratly. She grinned up at Foenix, then stared. "..What're you eating?"

Foenix grinned and sat next to her friend. "Oh, a little of this, a little of that. mushrooms stuffed with cheese; turkey sandwich; veggies with dip, endive with apples and blue cheese." She pointed out each item and held the plate nearer to Fae. "I sort of went overboard with the cooking, so help yourself. I think i'll end up taking lpackages of left-overs to all of the others."
She nudged Fae and looked over at Nehanda and Pueblo. "Oh, what I'd give for a camera right now."
Nehanda had reached her bill up and was gently, delicately nibbling on the end of Pueblo's tail.

Suddenly, Fae's stomach lurched loudly and the girl blushed. "Well, you certainly know how to do everything, don't you?" She grinned. "By the way, where do you cook and HOW do you cook? I need to ask Aly about the chimney, but I might as well write Rahujo a letter," she said, eyeing the food over in the corner. Her stomach couldnt take the tease any longer. She had to get up and attack some of the hordervs'.
Coming back with food now, she grinned as Foenix pointed out the two grphons and took her seat again. "Aw...yeah. I usually carry mines along with me, but for some reason it's absent. Man...this is good," she said, biting into a steamy cheese filled mushroom. @_@;

Foenix shrugged. "Most of the houses already have the basic wiring set up. And I'm a little too in love with my hot showers to move in without the "basic" amenities. I had things shipped in, and got it all hooked up. My hubby's good at that sort of thing."
She stood, and turned back to Fae. "I'm in the mood for tea. Do you want any?" As she spoke, she walked back into the kitchen to put the kettle on to boil.
((Speaking of cooking, I'm gonna run off and start making dinner. I'll be back in about an hour.))

Alyosha returned a while later, clutching a small bundle and looking a little worse for wear. the rain had started once again and had drenched him from head to toe.
He walked over to Foenix and Fae, waving with his unoccupied arm. "Hey, bit of an emergency, maybe you two could help me by telling the others... if you see them."
He waited for them to nod and continued. "Kiiato was taken off the Island, ill. One of the medics from the other Island came here to pick her up and take her to the mainland and then came back here to tell me. He's been looking after Keanu until now but a dig site is no place for a baby.
Alyosha leant forward a little, trying not to drip on the bundle of fur which was Keanu. The little gryphon was curled up asleep, oblivious to his surroundings, wrapped in a waterproof jacket which had been the archaeo's.
"She probably won't be able to come back, apparently the climate here is what caused her illness to worsen so it looks like we'll need to find a new home for this little critter..."
Alyosha sighed a little. "At this stage in his development he really needs to find someone to care for him or he may end up being ...well... can you imagine a child left on it's own as a toddler?"
his stomach growled, then and he blushed a little. "I'm so sorry Foenix, all of this was wonderful but do you mind if I steal some food and run. I want to get Keanu somewhere to sleep and dry myself off. "
Thanking Feonix again profusely, he grabbed up some of the mushrooms, sandwhiches and some of the delicious gooey and buttercream filled cake (I love you so much for Foenix that I *love* cake with buttercream >>) and fled off towards his aparetments.

(yesterday)
Fae frowned as Aly left, again missing him. As she were about to say something, he had walked off and she sucked in her breath. Then a look of confusion replaced her dissapointed face. "Kiiato? Keanu? Poor dear..." She frowned. She looked to Foenix. "I hope she's alright," she muttered.
Looking at the time, she yawned and motioned for Pueblo. "It's about time I head back home. Sorry the party wasn't too much of a hit...oh, hey," she rememebered. "Let me help you clean up first," she grinned foolishly. She begun to wrap the food up and take down streamers, Pueblo flying back and forth with a few ribbons. After awhile, the Centre was back to its normal self. Fae waved to Foenix, tired than ever. "Awesome food! You'll have to hook me up a stove sometime. Goodnight!" Fae waved, then walked out, followed closely behind was Pueblo with a sparkly purple ribbon.
