Walking under the high noon sun, Celestia shielded her eyes from the light, looking casually behind her to check that she was not being followed. She did not think anyone would follow her for such a casual excursion from the tree, as she did somewhat frequently, but on this occasional, she had to be sure. Hopefully, the male would have found the letter she left for him where they often had met and would know to return to the spot at this time. If not, she would wait for him 'til night's dusk came.
They had something happen that was yet to be discussed: their marriage, if one could call such a thing that.
The very thought still boiled the princess's blood slightly; how could she have ended up in such a situation. Certainly, it was not as obvious to others as her sister's fathering of triplets out of wedlock, but it was still painful to her. Whatever the case, they could not simply ignore the situation and expect it to dissipate; what if either of them actually grew in love with another? Their current bond would not allow those feelings to be explored, for doing so would be betrayal of the highest sorts.
So, with her mind full of confusion and unanswered questions, the princess traversed the fields, seeking out the company of her husband.

Aquos sighed as the events of party ran through his head. Married. He was married to a princess. This was not suppose to happen...He was just suppose to escort her so she could meet others of her own kind. He was just suppose to be a wing man. Urrg. What's more he lost the rings he had picked up...In her bag. Aquos ran his hand through his hair. What was she going to think? Did she fine them? Of course she must have. She had been clinging to that tea set all night. Who left a tea set out in the open either way anyways? This was all...Sigh.
He waited at the spot that Celestia had written about, not complaining at all. Though the middle of the day was pretty risky. What if she had been seen? Then again night was no better. He sat down and leaned his back against a tree. This was such a huge mess. He had always hoped when he got married to have kids, live together and just be happy. This..Wasn't what he had hoped for.
He came here to talk, and talk he would. Where things went from here well, that was in fates hands now wasn't it?

Somehow, the rings remained resting in the "bag" in the princess's room, unnoticed as of yet despite her having taken out the tea set. Of course, when she had done so, she wasn't particularly paying attention to anything else that might have been in there with them. It was a wonder that nothing had ended up broken.
Nearing the meeting spot, Celestia flexed her wings lightly behind her, taking notice of her husband. It was almost strange; she had wings, yet she almost exclusively walked around. Why, she had no idea, she just didn't feel the need to. Likewise, she could not remember having ever seen him fly either.
What a situation... A truly strange situation... Why couldn't this had gone like her dreams? Fall in love, have a marriage with her sister as her maiden of honor, settle down, have children, raise them and then grow old with her man.
Motioning to Aquos, she called to him. "Pleasant afternoon, is it not?"

Aquos looked over to the voice and smiled lightly. "Indeed it is...Though daylight has it's dangers...One being seen...I..Don't wish to get you in trouble due to me." He slowly got to his feet and rubbed his shoulder. This was a total mess...Just..Total mess. "What is it that you wish of me Princess? I don't have much to offer." Despite knowing why she wanted to talk and despite being her husband, Aquos still asked and still seemed to still in escort mode, looking around for a moment for any type of moment.

Glancing away and shaking her head softly, the princess brushed off the dangers of the light. Had she already told him of her power to create the illusion of day, or of moving the clouds to push the rain away? She couldn't remember. "The day has always been kind to me; I do not anticipate it is so easy to change its ways." Pausing, she continued to look away as she thought to herself.
What was it that she really wished for?
Her heart yearned for different directions, one to sever and one to bond. Despite the love being absent, a marriage was still marriage, for better or for worse, and she had a hard time accepting that a divorce was a reasonable solution to her problem. Yet, she also understood that it was possible for them to find someone else to give their heart to; it was even possible to fall for one another, however unlikely she felt that to be. Looking back to him, she gave him a small smile with an equally small shrug. "I do not know what it is I wish for, nor do I know what should be done." A pause before a quick laugh, shrugging once more. "What is it that you want from this? I know it to not be true, yet..." she moved her hand to her chest where she had seen the string connect and dissolve. "...we are bound to one another."
(will be interesting when the blood and elemental pae start fighting, cause they already sided on different sides ninja )

Aquos was shocked at her answer. He had not expected her to say that. He was sure they'd just get this ended and then just...Leave it at that. It took him a moment to get his thoughts together and thought about what she said. What did he want? "I want you to be happy...Whatever is in your life or not."
"Though this isn't something I'm not used to already. Having someone in your life but not being able to be with them." He admitted to her. He should probably tell her after all. "I've told you before, I have a sister...This is sorta true. We're not blood related though...In fact she's doesn't even have wings." He shifted slightly before continuing to speak. "She's a naiad. I found her when I was a teen, she was lost and confused. She couldn't remember anything but her name. So I helped her back to the island, back to lake where all the naiads lived...I don't know, while we were coming back I just felt connected to her...We also look quiet similar...It's..Hard to explain...But we just sorta started referring to each other as siblings. Though she must live in the water, so I do not see her often...It's been less since she had her own children." He smiled lightly at the thought of his nephews. " Can't say I didn't envy her when she had them." He blinked and shook his head. He was rambling. "Anyways, like our situation my ties to her must remain hidden...Seems like I'm just destined to be hidden from the world no matter what situation I'm in." He ran his hand through his hair. This was a sad fact to realize.

Celestia stayed silent as she listened to his story, folding her hands behind her as she waited for him to finish. How sorrowful... Reaching over to place her hand on his shoulder, she gave it a slight squeeze, waiting until they made eye contact before smiling softly, trying to be comforting. "You are only hidden if you allow yourself to be. I can see you, Aquos, now, and I am sure your sister can see you as well." Even if he was different than her, the princess could never stand to watch someone else in pain, especially not when that person was her husband. Again, though they had no love for one another, she still had a duty to him. "Though, if you would rather be visible to all, and even start a family, perhaps it would be best to separate."
While she couldn't guarantee that she would never come to be comfortable enough with him to have children, if only for the purpose of having them.

Aquos let out a small sigh before putting his hand on top of hers which rested on his shoulder. "But that holds my dilemma...I've been alone all my life, for as long as I can remember. My sister, and you, are apart of my life...my family. Even if it is different and the situation we found ourselves in, I can still call you family...And when I am alone it is a comforting thought because I'm not truly alone." He sighed again. "And this is why I could never choose. Even if this isn't the most traditional family...It's it's a family in my mind. My family. And I don't think I could ever give that up myself." He looked down, ashamed of how greedy it was of him even if it was true.
((I forgot to say, Aquos doesn't have a faction yet. I rolled for him but that doesn't mean he believes it...He's faking it cuz I'm a bad girl. |D ))

The princess felt a pain of guilt as his hand came to rest on her own. Had she been so selfish, so concerned of her own reputation and coming back into power that she had overlooked something so simple? Family is family, nothing more. Often, most often, it cannot be chosen; it must be happened upon, discovered in the most unusual of circumstances.
Like these. Just like these.
As a child cannot choose its blood, in this instance she could not choose her husband, but choice does not guarantee happiness any more than force is destined to sorrow. To abandon him, especially now, with him so alone, would be cruel. She could not do it; she probably could not have done it under the most preferable of circumstances. Looking to the sky, she remained silent, her resolve becoming stronger before she returned her gaze to him. "If you have it in you to forgive one selfish request of my own, to remain unknown to those with contact in the Great Tree, I will remain by your side." Her tone softening, she added, "Perhaps a time will come when you can meet my people, my family, but that time is not here."

Aquos blinked before flushing some and looking down to the ground, nodding at her request. This...Wasn't how he thought today would go after all...Though it was nice to know he wasn't alone anymore. "I hope that you may meet mine as well...It's...An odd family though. My nephews are-" He paused and sighed, not too sure how to describe them without being mean."Unique. One parent of the water, one of fae...I'm not even too sure what they are called officially..." He buried his face in his hands for a moment. "I'm sorry. I'm rambling about nothing. I'm just...Nervous, that's all."

Laughing lightly as she took note of his actions, she couldn't help but wonder just exactly what they were getting themselves into. Only the fates could know that. "If you wish me to meet your family, you need only ask and present me with a time and location to do so. I leave the tree often enough that another excursion should remain unnoticed, but..." she shrugged lightly, sighing, "...if I feel I am being followed, forgive my lateness or absence."
Again laughing, she placed a hand on her back, rubbing it lightly. "You needn't be nervous. You have become a prince, after all, as my husband. Those who follow my words would respect yours as well, if they knew. But..." She let her hand return to her side and looked away, towards the tree. "...perhaps it is best we part soon, for who knows which eyes are there to look upon us; which ears to listen to our words."

Prince?! Oh...Oh he wasn't expecting that. Oh what did he get into? Now he had an enter population that would hate him if they found out. Today just got better and better. Now all he needed was a whole to crawl into and die.
He looked up as she mentioned parting and he nodded to her. They had been in one spot for too long. "Ya...We can..Sorta be in contact?" Everything was just so risky. He sighed as he thought about it before shaking his head. "Hey Celestia.....Be careful going home..Ok?"

Returning her gaze to him, the princess nodded once, smiling lightly. "Fret not, my dear, I shall be safe, as I hope you will be as well." She brushed the hair from her face before waving to him. "I shall contact you in the same manner if something needs to be spoken about, though feel free to contact me in that way as well." She bowed her head lightly before turning and heading to the tree, pausing only a moment to turn and give a final wave, "Until next time," before returning home.
