Some great amount of time was spent on reading parenting books and websites on how to be a proper father but sure enough Vic was still scared out of his mind. He wasn't really the type to get scared so easily but this was one of those few things that he happened to be make him frighten. Vic had set up a date to spend it with his son, Tobi. Seeing how Moira and him got along so well, at least in Vic's eyes, he thought that he should try his hand in spending some one-on-one time as well. True the had been able to have some tiny little moments together but it was always at events and even then it would be awkward. It was than that the thought that if it was more private it would be better. With a couple of small father and son events planned he set out to do them, telling no one since he wanted it to be a surprise. Going over to Tobi's room, holding some sport gear he knocked at his son's door. The first few times that he opened his mouth nothing came out but around the forth time he finally spoke. "T-Tobi. It's me your...father. I wanna know if you're up for some...fun?" Wow even just asked made it feel awkward.

Tobias was slowly becoming more and more reclusive. While he had a fairly decent relationship with Moira, he still felt like he barely knew his father. It didn't really help that they only spoke for long periods of time at events, and Tobi felt that it was mostly just to keep him from freaking out. He wanted a better relationship, he just wasn't sure how to do it.
He looked up from his puzzle when the knocking started. He blinked a few times, waiting for whoever it was to declare themselves. He pushed himself up from the floor just as Vic spoke. He paused, that was unusual... Normally Vic didn't like to talk. He shuffled over to the door and then opened it up a little, just enough to poke his head out.
"...What kind of fun...?" The last "fun" was doing some jogging with Moira. That was not fun at all.

Surprised at how soon the door was open made Vic just a tad bit more nervous that he even began to stutter. "Oh...umm..y-you see...i-it's kinda a s-surprise." The level of nervousness the adult felt was enough to make him avoid eye contact which was another thing he needed to work on. "J-just thought you know...we c-could spend some t-time t-together." Vic heart was already racing at this point. Some part of him wished Moira was here to just do all the taking but at the moment she was out plus Vic knew this was something he had to work out himself. He tried his hardest and looked to his son as he gulped before talking. "I'll even treat y-you to somethin' after. W-whatever y-you want. H-how's that s-sound?"

He was nervous... that made him sad. He felt his heart sink in his chest, and averted his eyes to the ground. Why was he so nervous? If he didn't have such strict rules about how he would allow himself to use his powers, he would dig into his father's mind to find out why. He hoped it wasn't because he was afraid of him... He didn't want his father to be scared of him at all. "Okay..."
He opened the door all the way, then slowly scooted outside. Already the eyes were growing on the walls, staring without blinking. A few mouths appeared on the floor, one just a bit too close to Vic. "What are we going to do?" He spotted the sports gear and instantly regretted coming out. He hated sports... but he'd put up with it for awhile if it was what Vic wanted.

A sweet sigh came from the large incubus's mouth when he heard his son agree to come along. He really thought it would take more and the fact that it didn't calmed his heart some. How he wish this talking business was easier but he did feel it was getting a little easier at least with Tobi. Hesitantly he placed a hand on the young incubus's shoulder. "T-that's still a s-surprise." Vic put up a small smile but with him holding the gear it really wasn't much of a surprise. True he wasn't much of a sports man himself he had read how fathers and sons bonded over it so he thought he had to give it a try. "Are you r-ready to go?"

He glanced at the hand, the corners of his mouth twitching into a half smile. "Oh. Okay..." Tobias reached up to rub the back of his head, thinking. He supposed he was dressed enough to go out, but the thought of having to wear shoes made him reluctant to go outside. He really hated shoes...
"Yeah I guess so. Where are we going...?" That question was mostly to gauge what kind of shoes he'd have to put on. If it was somewhere with lots of concrete he could just wear the cloth and soft leather ones, but with lots of grass and potentially mud he'd have to wear the actual shoes...

Thanking the lucky stars or whoever was handing him his luck, he was very pleased that his plan was going so smoothly so far. If the whole event went like that he could probably dance around happily. Getting his head out of the joy he felt he cleared his throat to answer. "To w-which ever p-park is closer," he said as a too happy grin was now on his face like it wouldn't be leaving anytime soon. Leading Tobi towards the front door he finally noticed he had forgotten the packed lunches he had asked Moira to make that morning. Stopping he looked over to his son and took a moment before he spoke. "I need to get a f-few t-things. Meet me at the front d-door." The instant he finished he dashed off towards the kitchen, bumping into a few things thanks to the equipment he was carrying
