Although Avandis was created, or well summoned a while back, he had been in a deep sleep of sorts for a while. Awoken in the Wormwood Swamp, he had simply learned to live off causing fear, and paranoia in the creatures around him. This is simply how he was raised, and how he knows what he knows. His age is unknown though, he is believed to be 20 - 25, based off his looks at least.
