The Stars have Fallen from Dreamspace. That is the story at the very core of the shop's backstory and concept. This world the Stars live now is not their native homeworld; Dreamspace is.
What is Dreamspace? Another world, long ago and far away, it seems, even to Stars newly Fallen. Most Stars do not remember much of anything about Dreamspace, as the act of Falling appears to be a traumatic experience that usually results in injuries and a case of amnesia that seems to be somewhat selective.
What caused the Stars to Fall, how long ago, and where was it? It is not known how long Stars have Fallen, but there has been a hole at Sirius Point in Dreamspace for quite a long time, maybe even since the dawn of time. It has, however grown. Few, if any at all, remember any sense of where Sirius Point was, but it appears to be a moot point, anyway, as there is no returning to Dreamspace, whether by Sirius Point or any other place. Nothing further is known of the current catastrophe, which is known only as the Great Starfall, as such a long and extensive event has never happened before.
