Sally remembered dinner. Sally remembered saying goodnight to her mother- she hadn't kissed her mom goodnight... or at all... in years (to her great unhappiness, but mother didn't want her to so she had to deal with it). She remembered writing in her diary. She remembered getting into her pajamas. She remembered lying down on her bed. And then she didn't remember anything more.
Wereloc smirked as he crawled out the unlocked window and slipped into the street. Sally was asleep and it was time to play. Oh, he had been waiting so long. Too long. He hated... HATED... holding back. But soon, soon he would have all the delicious flesh he could possibly want. Little Sally could have her happiness for now. He'd crush it in blood later. He slinked, a shadow in shadows- something he liked about this body. Who was out today? Who would regret it? He smiled a sharp smile, eyes glinting in a streetlight, and he was gone, melding with the shadows like some goblinoid cheshire's cat as he moved towards the park. Always someone out at this hour, always nice places to drag them away to play, and have a midnight snack.

Crunch.
Such a delicious sound spines made when they cracked. Whisper watched as the life drained out of the eyes of the human child she'd just killed. It was the only satisfying thing about doing the dirty work. Still, someone had to draw the academy's attention.
She sighed, looking down at her dress. The pathetic little brat had gotten it dirty with its disgusting blood. She turned, starting to leave, but stopped. She blinked a few times, then slowly turned her head. There, in the shadow's. A familiar sort of energy.
A small grin spread across her face as she turned to walk towards it. "Come out, come out where ever you are~" She spoke in a sing-song tone, still grinning.

A gleaming cheshire cat's grin from the shadows.A child, no two children, out this late? Had Christmas come early? And then the delightful crunch of vertebrae and death as one killed the other. Ohhhhh now it was channukah AND christmas, wrapped up into one package and delivered down the chimney with about a ton of candy.
Wereloc smirked toothily and was about to stalk after the murdering child when he felt a familiar sensation. Oho? Another like him? In his prowling grounds?
... Well he SUPPOSED he could share. For now. it wasn't as though the all you can eat buffet wasn't down the line. Soon, oh so soon.
Though she did look tasty. Like cotton candy. Living with Sally and her candy powers had given him a bit of a sweet tooth.
It seemed she noticed him. Such a sweet, sweet voice to go with her hair. She wanted to play?
Wereloc could spare some time to play.
"Catch me if you can" he hissed, laughing before melting back into the shadows and circling around.
"Don't you know that that stains?" he continued, "You should wear an apron next time" he also should have followed his own advice. Sally's white-with-nauseating-pink-candies nightdress would be so dirty by the time he was done. Thankfully he had bothered to order spares, but really what he needed to do was find some good 'outing' clothes.
He'd leave the dirtied one by her mothers door and then dress in one of the spares. Sally would be none the wiser.
But it would be nice to dress the part.

Whisper continued to listen, maintaining her amused grin. For a second she caught a glimpse, then quirked a brow. A shadow user, hm? It was too bad she didn't have any light abilities. She looked down at her dress again, and then shrugged. "Oh, it doesn't matter baby doll." She giggled a bit, then moved over to a swing to sit down.
"Hide-and-go-seek is only fun if it ends in blood, dear. So how about you come on out, hm? I have a curfew, you know." The damn human parents just had to get up early, didn't they? It made her movements so very restricted. And it didn't help that her sickly brother had a Mane. That put quite the wrench in her plans.

Baby doll? Oh that was rich. There were many things you could say about Sally's body but doll wasn't one of them. She was a bit of a baby though. She cried so easily. It only took a little effort and... bam. Waterworks and instant entertainment.
"Curfews are so annoying" Sally's mother had tried to set one when she had caught him sneaking out. A dead dog on her bed soon solved that. Oh, and the note, but honestly the note wasn't his best work. It barely needed mentioning. He'd gotten the idea from a movie that both he and Sally had liked. But in that a horse's head was used. Now he actually liked horses. Pretty, pretty things. He'd always wanted to own one. Maybe someday.
It's also only fun when the seeker is actually seeking" he said, laughing, moving through the shadows, "But I'll make an exception for you"
He pounced from behind, trying to get her in a headlock with sally's long arms.

"They are, aren't they?" She began to swing a little, though soon after found herself in a headlock. Her grin remained though, she simply looked up, blinking those large green eyes a few times.
"If I were you I'd let go, baby doll. Wouldn't want to pass out in the playground next to a dead human, would you? That could get you in trouble." She giggled, but made no effort to free herself.

"Me?" His smile, if you could believe it, grew wider, "Or my dear sweet little host?" his voice became saccharine, mocking. "Mmmm. Her confusion would be delicious." It could be inconvenient, for a time. But all he had to do was feed Sally excuses and remind her mother just how vulnerable she was. Pass out, though. Clearly this girl wasn't human. She probably had her own way of staging such a show. So did he. "Ahhh, but I have business to attend to tomorrow that a day at the police station would inconvenience. Maybe tomorrow, though, if you're not busy..." he summoned a candy-a hard, round candy that glittered as green as the other malice's eyes. An apple jolly rancher, unwrapped. "... sweetie" He popped it into her mouth and pushed the swing, hard.

She giggled a bit, she remembered what it was like being stuck inside someone else's body. It was mostly a series of disappointments followed up with a near death experience. She did not envy whomever it was she was speaking to. "I thought as much." And then a candy was shoved into her mouth and the swing pushed. She spat the candy out and then hopped off of the swing, landing on her feet. She hated candy, despite looking like she was made out of it.
Whisper turned to face Wereloc, folding her arms across her chest. "Now now now, you weren't trying to hurt me, were you? I might have to punish you if you were. Your poor little host wouldn't like that very much, would she?" She shook her head, clicking her tongue.

"Maybe" Wereloc snickered maliciously, Awww. Such a shame she hadn't choked on the candy. Or fallen on her rear. Catlike reflexes this one. He approached, the shadowmeld still active and giving him a somewhat eerie and spectral appearance as he walked towards the girl. "Maybe I was." the smile was still there, still sharp, "Maybe I wasn't" unlikely. "Do you want to find out, sweetie?" he said, holding out a hand, palm up, seemingly harmless. Punish him? Oh yes. She could try. He didn't particularly care how Sally felt. so long as it was not good, and under his control. He had always... enjoyed... a bit of punishment anyway. Of course, little girls who dared to punish their elders got punished in turn. His smile grew wider. "What is your name?"

She maintained the distance between them. A fellow Malice didn't necessarily mean a friend, after all. And she still had so much work to get done. This child's body of hers was not as durable as she needed it to be, she couldn't risk getting into too many scuffles. "Oh no, I'm just fine, baby doll. You can stay over there." She shrugged her shoulders a little and then rocked in place on her feet, grinning.
"Wouldn't you like to know, dear. I have a lot of names. But in this life I only use Whisper." She stifled a yawn, keeping one eye open to watch Wereloc. "And your name is...?"

"Well helloooo Whisper" he purred. Nice name. Very nice.
What was the harm in naming himself? He stalked forward and around. Oh, so much fun. Didn't she realize he had long, long arms. Arms reach was arms reach for silly humans. "I'm Wereloc" he said. Ahhh, he did love going out at nights. And such a treat too, "No need for fanfare, the name is all i need." he chuckled and hunched forward a little like a goblin, "People once asked me what the meaning was, why I was named so. What does it matter?" His smile grew, "What, indeed, is in a name. What indeed." He sized her up. Fast. Strong. Unknown powers. But small. So delightfully small.
