Kamechi's heart quickened at the feel of the cold stethoscope to the exposed part of her chest, and she took a deep breath and willed it to calm down. No reason to get excited, he was just checking to make sure she was okay. But no matter what she did, her heart wouldn't slow down, and she could feel it slightly as it pounded strongly in her chest. Why was she getting so worked up? It was just a stethoscope, it wasn't like Kuroko was actually touching her there.... oh god. Her heart quickened a bit more as her vivid imagination gave her the image of Kuroko- NO. Just. NO. She clenched her free hand a bit, forcing herself to calm down, what the hell was wrong with her? That was a no. No no no no no. 'Bad Kamechi! Down!', she scolded herself. Behind her mask her face was completely red from the thoughts.
Eventually after a few quick breaths she calmed down and her heart beat returned to it's normal pace. She still wondered why she was so worked up over one person, especially a person she had been around quite a lot. This hand never ever happened before, maybe she was just being silly. Of course there were other possibilities... but she would never dwell on those. Those thoughts were the things she saved for when she was sitting awake, alone, in her bed at night when the insomnia that had created the thick black markings around her eyes kicked in. Those thoughts made cold nights colder and shadows move and whisper and taunt her. Maybe she was nuts, she didn't know, all she knew was maybe there was a good reason why she was acting so erratic around her kage. That, of course, would be saved for later.
She looked from the stethoscope up to the kage's face, which was lookng down at her, and for a moment she was able to study the man's features. He always seemed so calm and complacent, and for a second she wondered if there was any loneliness behind that calmed gaze. She wondered at the possibility of a maybe existent melancholiness. She continued to look at the Kage as he took her vitals.

All the while as he listened to her heart rate, he could hear everything that she was thinking about. The things she wanted to do with him, the calming herself down, and the insomnia. As he pulled the tool away from her, he pulled the earpieces out and looked down at her. "Tell me Kamechi, have you had trouble sleeping as of late? When I look at your eyes... They seem heavy, it ruins your beauty..." Kuroko complimented calmly, as he moved away and over to his desk, looking in it. "I can't offer anything to help you sleep easier... Well, medically-speaking I cannot, but perhaps there's something else I could possibly do to help you sleep easier." Kuroko calmly said, turning to her and smiling gently.
"Spend the night at my home; insomnia is often caused by worries and such, so if you're sleeping with someone, then you can relax and be at ease. If you sleep well, then we'll call it a success. If not, then I'll look into getting you something to help you sleep easier during the nights." Kuroko chuckled, smiling all the while as he looked at her.

If Kamechi's face wasn't red before, it most definitely was now, and her eyes widened first at the compliment, then at the fact that Kuroko was asking her to sleep with him. In the same house. In the same. Freaking. Bed. For a moment, her inner fangirl threw the biggest party known to man and it took her a few seconds to calm it down and try to come up with an answer. She didn't want to sound like an idiot, she opened her mouth and..
"A.. A-alright.. "
Kamechi wanted to smack herself, 'Way to go, idiot.' she mentally slapped herself as hard as she could, then composed herself and tried again.
"It's been a long time since I've actually gotten any amount of restful sleep, so I'm willing to try anything now." There, that sounded better.

Kuroko couldn't help but chuckle over hearing her stuttering about his offer. His head nodded slowly, smile still fresh on his lips as always, and made his way towards the stairs that led back up to his office. "You might wish to put the scythe away for the time being. Don't want too many people knowing of what I've done to you..." The man said calmly, turning around and playfully winking in her direction, as he made his way up the stairs to return to his office. Hopefully nobody was in there while he was busy at work with Kamechi, he didn't like to keep young Genin waiting for himself.

Kamechi deactivated her cursemark and nodded, looking around the laboratory one last time and taking it all in. She looked at the mark on her wrist, then followed Kuroko back up the steps towards the office.
