Town Of Kumogakure

User Image

Travel deep within the mountains, and finally the groggy mist will depart to feast your eyes with the splendor of the true heart of Kumogakure. In fact, this very little place is located in the center of the village. Lanterns guide your way during the midnight hours, as the daylight breaks you'll soon discover the elaborate buildings and buzzing tunes of the tender village. The river that runs through the town welcomes you, as the cherry blossoms litter the stone stairways in a curious trail toward many of the town's interesting shops and bridges about. Don't forget to catch a ferry ride on your tour about!

            I w h i s p e r e d in her ear:
            F e a r me dear, for I am D e a t h,
            I'll take your h o p e, your d r e a m s, your l o v e,
            Till there's n o t h i n g left

The clock ticked and tocked its way towards its own end. As the second hand moved towards the strange silver alarm clocks final moments, the light that made its way through the curtains into the young Himei’s room; reflected brightly of the large chrome dome bells that sat, silently, patiently on top of the clock face. The hammer that would do its frantic dance, still for now and Oli’s head buried deep within his covers. But Himei alarm clocks were anything but plain in their design. A clan especially devoted to music and singing as they were, were if anything fine-tuned, like the chrome bells to what sounds and notes would work their magic to raise this certain young man from his catatonia.

                        Tick, tock, tick, tock…

That annoying purring of the clock’s second hand was easy to ignore but as the minute passed and it dragged the largest of the three hands to the top of the face; a monstrosity of rattling metal and screeching bells began to make its mighty roar heard across the compound. The bells themselves had been tuned on both sides to an ear splitting high F#. His uncle had thought it best that such a high pitched note be the thing to wake his nephew up. It almost physically stung to listen to the hammer frantically beat itself against the bells’ sides and soon, from the covers, emerged a flowing art pieces: An arm covered in so many tattoos that it was hard to see any plain skin. It searched the bed side table for the annoying demonic machination and after a few failed attempts to scramble and grab the stupid thing; a head finally broke through the surface of the woollen sea and looked bleary eyed towards the almost epileptic clock. His hair stood a mess, like a bush or a lion’s mane that had been for a session in a wind tunnel.

                        BRRRRRRRIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGG!

“Oh, ******** off…” He said pursing his lips together and allowing only a small bullet of sonic vibration to shoot itself from his throat and straight at the glass that protected the numbers. The metal shuddered for a second, resonating violently with the tone that Oli had whistled towards it and with a smile; he watched his rude awakening burst apart unable to handle the resonance for an extended amount of time accompanied by its own ringing. It was somewhat like a firework, the explosive centrepiece sending its debris in a wide and seemingly beautiful array around it. Now awake, Oribaa looked across his floor at the destroyed clock’s pieces and sat up revealing his naked tattooed torso to the cold air of whenever it was he had decided to get up. He was thin, almost frighteningly so as you could see the jagged ruts of his ribs and his shoulders collapsed inwards into his body. Every breath looked a chore but whether that was because the young Jounin was underweight or still groggy from just waking up, it was hard to tell. He simply wiped the sleep from his eyes and got up. Luckily enough, he was wearing boxer shorts or things were about to get very awkward and quite breezy.

Feeling still slightly un-refreshed, Oli dragged himself to the bathroom and began to clean his teeth, only catching himself in the mirror once or twice before he hopped in the shower…

After a short time, Oli’s hand made its way out past the shower curtain, somewhat reminiscent of his actions with the clock and his bed sheets. Only in his first attempt, he grasped at the black towel hanging on his en suite’s towel rail and wrapping it around himself behind the curtain and stepping out modestly, checking that no one was waiting to ambush him as he made his way back into his bedroom’s main area. He knew what he had to do today, it was all the formal stuff: the whole introduce yourself to the Raikage thing after you become a Jounin or if you’d been a Jounin for a while, it was time to check in. Throwing on some clothes, Oli found his three precious Items and disconnected his iPod from its dock with some ferocity. He tested the lighter, making sure it still worked, put on his dogtags and finally, as always, slipped the silver ring onto his left index finger and wih a clenched fist looked at the silver band for a second. It was hard to imagine that three seemingly tiny things meant so much to him, even he doubted sometimes whether they were of that much worth but after his couple of seconds of wavering faith, he would always decide they were. Throwing on some skinny jeans, plimsolls and a bog standard v-neck jumper with no shirt underneath; Oribaa checked he had his wallet, his keys and his iPod in his pockets and stuck in his headphones making sure to thread the wire wasn’t visible and if the ear buds did fall out at any time they would be caught on the rim of his jumper’s collar.

Oribaa’s eyes scrolled as his fingers turned the wheel and shuffled his music and without further or do; the Jounin marched to his window and opened it. With a single vault, he disappeared out of it and onto the street level. He would walk towards his allotted destination, the Kage’s office, in almost complete silence save for the heavy metal racket that was going on in his ears. People could probably hear it as he walked past but apart from that, the man clad in drainpipe jeans didn’t even bother to look up from the floor. There was no real point, he knew his way around and he couldn’t hear anyone anyway. So, Oli continued to make his way towards the Kage’s office in an uneventful fashion, his music his only companion and but one goal in mind.

He would say Hi to Michiko, his junior in age but senior in rank and then get off somewhere to write music. Yeah, that sounded grand.

            I whispered in her e a r:
            You b e t t e r fear me d e a r, for I am Death.
            And I'll t a k e that s h i t you call a l i f e,
            In a single f u c k i n g breath

Namine picked her way carefully among the streets, being careful not to run in to anyone, or even so much as bump them, as she made her way through the endless throngs of the town . No one was noticing her yet, which was good. the morning had only just started for her and she didn't want to ruin it, not yet. She had left Julien back at the apartment, for, the boy was still sound asleep. She hated bothering him, and had an earlier schedule than the boy on the account that she couldn't sleep anyways and she took extra time to get up early and train herself just a little bit more. She did this at night, too. She wanted to become a strong ninja, as strong as Julien.

Julien wasn't really the strongest of people in a literal sense, but he was good, fast, and brave. She felt as if she could never do that. She was always scared, scared of what she knew was inside her, scared that if she confronted people or got too mad that she would hurt someone. She didn't want to do that, no one deserved to get hurt for stating their opinion. She looked around her as she felt a twinge of loneliness; with Julien gone, she was all alone, no one spared a glace for her, she was unappealing.. she had nothing going for her, not even her looks. What a pity, maybe if she had been beautiful, people wouldn't hate her so much.. Maybe they would look at her, acknowledge her existence...

Anyways, she was sure Julien would probably be up now, but where would he be...? Maybe she should leave him alone for a bit today. She could be quite clingy..

Namine eventually have up, and worked her way back towards the training grounds. She had jutsu to learn, so much of it to get down. Maybe she'd start on her fuuinjutsu today..

Masoko Nakano
"A power like mine shouldn't be used without restraint..."

User Image

"Think you'll be alright?"
An elderly male stood behind a small counter, his eyes watching a younger male walk over to the door. The question held quite a bit of gravity behind it, though the younger male could only give a gentle grin as he took a seat, his hands reaching over to grasp his shoes.
"It's hard to say, old man," the male spoke with a deep, yet gentle, tone. "I've had time to think over it, and... I believe I'm ready to try again."
Despite what the male had said, the elder narrowed his eyes lightly in concern. "Masoko... You still blame yourself for that day, don't you..."
Masoko didn't answer, but the silence itself gave the elder all that he needed to know... With his shoes now on, he took a stand and looked back to the elder. "...I'll see you later, Kyirian. Better find our Kage if I want to know what needs to be done," came his statement as he grinned softly to the old man, soon opening the door and stepping outside.
Whenever Masoko left the blacksmith's shop, it was always an errand for the blacksmith's shop, such as picking up groceries and/or materials. Today, however... was different. Today, he was planning to continue his dream of being a ninja. But first... he would have to find the Raikage. She would know how to help him, or at least he hoped she would give him the time of day to help... With that in mind, he turned on a heel and began to make his way toward the Raikage's office. [Exit]
