Gavin walked down the side walk the chains on his now folded wings clanking together with every step. He was taking a leisure stroll for no real reason in particular. It was a lovely day, and he was bound to enjoy it. His tail dragged behind him the corset style piercings of it glinting in the sunlight as he made his way to the park. Taking a deep breath, he let it out with a small smile. Ah yes, this was indeed a lovely day. He entered the park looking about for a decent tree to enjoy such a beautiful day in. Amber eyes scanned around till he finally found one. A grin spreading on his maw, he padded forward till he reached the tree and flapping his wings like a butterfly might, he lifted himself into the air. His body dipped lightly in the air like a winged bug that had forgotten to fly for a moment before he found a suitable tree branch and rested himself on it.

Excited as anything for today, Emmie had tossed her hair up, checked herself over in her mirror, then made a mad dash for the park that wasn't too far from home. She knew a certain someone loved to walk about the park on beautiful days like today, so she didn't waste a moment in taking the chance to try and catch him there while she could. As she was just about to slip out the door, she caught sight of a stray hair. Giving it a stern look, she licked her finger, made it submit, and head out the door, closing it behind her.
As she finally made it to the park, she looked around, anxious to find her special someone. It had been a while since she had seen him, but today, just like every other day since the last time they were together, she went looking for him. Tucking her hair behind her ear, eyes alight as she looked about, a saddened expression painted across her features as she couldn't find him once again. With a sigh, she sat herself beside a small pond in the park, picking the grass and tossing it in the air as she grumbled something about 'that buttmunch' not coming to see her.

From his tree branch, he could see many things. The park was an open view to him for the most part from such a high advantage point. As he settled himself in, he was about to doze in his blissfully contentedness till he saw a familiar figure entering the park. He watched her as she walked along, looking for something or some one he presumed.Likely looking for him, oh she knew him too well. He thought with an inward chuckle. Still he waited to see if she'd come any closer to him so as not to loose such a nice little perch as he had currently. It was when her features seemed to become saddened, that his tail flopped from the tree limb to dangle under the canopy of the tree he watched her from. She looked so sad.. Admittedly is was good to know she missed him, but still to see her sad made him feel guilty for leaving her for all this time. Carefully, he shifted in the tree till he could drop down and make his way to see her. "Emmie!" He called out to her as he dropped down, landing on his feet with a slight stumble.

She sat there, feeling let down and completely bummed out. Here she got all dolled up and such to come see Gavin, and he was nowhere to be found. Dammit! Why'd he have to go and do that? She was so excited to see him and-- The sound of a familiar voice snapped her from her grumbling upset state, a smile painted across her face as she turned her head and saw him!
"Gavin!" So very excited, she jumped up from her sulking place, and made a mad dash straight for him, barreling right into him and sending them both to the ground, landing on top of him. Grinning widely, she looked down at him, almost forgetting she had felt stood up just a few moments ago... almost. "... You! You almost stood me up, didn't you?! That's so mean, Gavin! So so mean! How could you make me wait like that?!" She began to playfully sniffle, but then she really did begin to tear up. "I thought you weren't coming for me..."

"Me? Stand you up?? Never.. I figured I'd sit in a tree where I had a great view of the landscape." He'd flashed her a wide smile that only faltered as she started to actually tear up. "Oh... Emmi... Never would I stand you up.. Never.. remember this you are my only heart." Raising a paw, he dabbed at her tears before pulling her into a hug. "Shh shh shhh.. It's alright Emmi... I'm here ok??" She cooed soothingly to her as he spoke.
