Appearance Description: Reijī stands out from most members from the Gotei 13 appearance wise in several ways. For starters, he has a rather large scar that runs down the left side of his face that affected his left eye, as a result making him blind on his left eye. He has long hair that he doesn't take to much care for, and as a result tends to be over the place and unkempt, but not dirty. Reijī has also made some modifications to his shinigami uniform by adding crimson shoulder straps along with three gold stars on each side with a gold outline on the straps. He also modified the collar to his uniform to take the appearance of a popped suit jacket collar. On the left side of his jacket he has a gold badge of his clan's crest and on the right side he has a gold badge of the Eighth Division's emblem. Reijī also can be seen wearing medical hand wraps on both of his hands at all times, though the motive behind this is still unclear.

Character Strengths: Reijī is a rather loyal individual who takes pride in what he does and in his rank in the Gotei 13. He's a very likeable character and is quite popular among the Gotei 13, although there are a few exceptions who don't view him so favorably.

Personality: Reijī is quite a lazy fellow in general. Having a very nonchalant attitude towards life, he spends most of his time relaxing in his superior's office reading books. He has a strong sense of morals and often looks down at people who live lives that lack morals. However, he is at the end of the day a very like-able fellow once you get to know him and is quite popular with the captains of the Gotei 13.

Strength: Reijī's strength is average for someone of his stature. He certainly can hold his ground with his strength but beyond that, he's not abnormally strong like some individuals are in the Gotei 13.
Speed: His speed is probably one of his strongest physical skills in which he practices. His shunpu skills are on par with that of a captain and has been regarded by his comrades to be legendary in the art of shunpu and speed.
Intelligence: Reijī is not a genius by design but does have the eye for detail and rarely forgets things, even from the smallest details. He has a vast knowledge in European Literature and is very passionate about literature in general.
Stamina: Reijī's stamina is quite impressive on the battlefield, as he doesn't get tired easily and can last for hours on the battlefield. However, being that he's so lazy, it's rare to see him fight for hours on end at full strength, so the limits of his stamina are quite unclear to everyone.
Durability: His durability is quite impressive, as he can take blows from high powered opponents and get back on his feet no matter what as long as he has the drive to fight on. However, much like his stamina, it is still unclear just what his limits are to the majority of people.

Spiritual Pressure: Reijī's spiritual pressure is immense but widely untapped by him considering his laziness. Being that his is the case, like most of his other skills, what he can truly achieve is still unclear including how much spiritual pressure he possesses.
Swordsmanship/Accuracy/Other: A highly skilled swordsman, he is a very deadly opponent when it comes to fighting with his zanpakuto in it's sealed state. Known for his precision and accuracy, his skills are quite impressive for a lieutenant and has been confused for a captain level opponent at times against opponents. His accuracy is probably on the best for any shinigami currently in the Gotei 13 due to the type of zanpakuto he possesses.
Special Training: Although Reijī is only a lieutenant, his captain has given him special training with mastering higher levels of kido, as he had the potential to achieve a higher level of mastery of kido that wasn't common among lieutenants. He's also received training over the years in the art of shunpu, which has allowed him to hold a level of mastery in hoho.
Personal Abilities: Reijī possess incredible eyesight with his right eye and can see targets from extremely long distances, making him an excellent hunter and look out for his allies.

Zanpakuto Sealed Description: A simple zanpakuto which in her sealed form takes the shape of a normal katana with a 46 inch blade.
Shikai:
Incantation: From the hellish realm where you preside, awaken from your slumber. Rise and turn the world to ash, Bureijinguhantā!
Release Appearance: His zanpakuto changes appearance from a katana to a longbow. Reijī carries along with his an elegant crimson quiver with gold outlining over the quiver. It holds all together fifty arrows that are made of a very durable material that can pierce through the hardest of materials. However, the harder the material, the less penetrating the arrow becomes.
Abilities:
-Firestorm (Kōgi no arashi: 抗議の嵐): This ability affects the heads of the arrows that Reijī uses in his shikai. This ability is always active during the release of the shikai and whenever the head of one of Bureijinguhantā's arrows hits a target, they explode into a raging fire that can consume his enemies whole. This ability can also be used to trap enemies in a barrier of flame by shooting a few arrows to the ground surrounding Reijī's opponent(s) in a wall of fire.
-Dead Eye (Shinda hitomi: 死んだ瞳): This ability affects Reijī only and no one else. This ability is a more passive ability that is activated by will and affects his left eye. Upon usage, his left eye changes color from white to crimson. When activated this ability returns his eyesight to his damaged eye and increases his eyesight, allowing him to process what he sees at a faster rate of speed, making his reaction time faster than what he could achieve if this ability was dormant. This ability lasts for the entirety of his shikai being released.
Bankai

Appearance: The Phoenix Knight
Release Appearance: Reijī's bankai takes a more radical form compared to his shikai, as it not only changes the weapon all together, but also does the same with his outfit along with his physical appearance. For starters, his hair is less disorganized and at the very least combed. His facial hair is also gone upon activating his bankai and the scar that runs down the left side of his face is no longer in place. His left is is also fixed, as both of his eyes change color to a crimson like color. The weapon itself now takes the shape of a double barreled, lever-action shotgun. Made of pure mahogany and gold, the weapon itself is a piece of art on it's own. As for Reijī's outfit, his shinigami uniform is now replaced with a much more radical outfit. He still retains his should straps, but now wears a crimson coat that has several gold buttons. He wears crimson tights with white leggings that are accompanied with a very elegant pair of brown leather shoes.
Abilities:
-In his bankai, Reijī's overall speed is increased dramatically. His speed has been noticed by some to be on par with that of the famed substitute shinigami, Ichigo Kurosake. Although he has this huge increase in speed, no other aspect of combat is increased for Reijī's with the exception of his eyesight.
-With Reijī's eyes, they both changed color into a crimson color. This not only changes the physical appearance of his eyes, but they also augment his eyesight dramatically. He now is able to analysis his opponents in battle and overtime discover their weak spots and take advantage of this.
-The pièce de résistance, the weapon itself. This shotgun, like mentioned before is a very elegant looking piece of art that still has the capacity to tear apart opponents. When fired, twelve metal pellets come flying in the direction where it was shot at. However, upon impact, the pellets which are filled with condensed spiritual pressure explode upon impact creating devastating damage. Reload time takes a mere second, making it quite a useful tool to have in the battlefield, as he's not restricted to the amount of bullets he can fire.
