Anne kept her eyes closed as she fell, wondering why it felt so slow to her, wondering why she couldn't just fall. Ah, it was the same then as it was now huh? When she decided that she would fall, she wouldn't and when she couldn't she was made to believe that she fell, being plunged into an eternal darkness and only realized that she didn't when she woke up crying and sobbing until she had lost her voice for five months. No, she was just exaggerating, this was just a little trip, but whatever she did these days just reminded her of back then. Anne did not have enough strength to move on and let go. She couldn't move on and let go, for if she did, the mistake would repeat itself all over again, and that's something she did not want. "What a stupid girl." a voice boomed in her head, making Anne's eyes open for a split second, "If you want to fall, then just fall. Don't play the damn blame game. You know your just blaming yourself." Was that true? For a second, Anne couldn't help but think . . . she's right. For the first time in a long time, she's right.
It moved fast now, Donnie catching her right before her body made contact with the ground, almost right after her hair made contact, Anne closing her bright blue eyes suddenly when she felt his hands around her. His hands were warm, they were very comfortable, and soon Anne remembered her dream. Was this the same feeling that they felt? Was this the same feeling her "parents" felt when they held their arms around each other? They were warm, this feeling was comfortable, welcoming. It filled Anne's heart with this fluttering feeling she couldn't describe even with many years reading dictionaries over and over again, memorizing the words. And it was not only her heart that was filled, but also her cheeks, being so flushed with this feeling that just wouldn't disappear. Anne's eyes were still closed though, and she was indulging in this warmth before realizing that it was Donnie who had caught her. When she came upon that realization, she opened her eyes to find him close.
When she was helped back up, Anne regained her balance just a little. "I'll be fine . . ." she answered, feeling confident that she can walk in the heels as she furrowed her brows in determination, "I feel like . . I had done . .this before." Anne took a step forward with her bag on her back, that step much better than the first. She had remembered that she was a demon, even though she didn't look like one----and a Princess at that so a Princess had to walk in these even though young, right? Besides, she did want to know how those young girls walked in these heels, it looked so easy, even her friend made it look as if it was like wearing sneakers, the shoes that Anne was used to. "Darn . . . " she thought, her steps toward the door slow, but getting faster, "Just help me you . . ." Anne was referring to the voice that seemed to know more about being a spoiled Princess than she did. Of course that person would know.
Then when she only needed two steps more, Anne suddenly knew how to regain her balance, with each step becoming easier as she opened the door, her delicate hand slowly turning the knob before she walked outside as if she had done this her whole life, as if she had been walking in heels ever since she was born. She had been walking in heels ever since she was born, but I guess with what happened, she probably forgot. I guess that person wanted to help her today, although Anne would feel the fruits of this help much later, when her seal would start hurting again.
Anne waited just outside for Donnie, just as Liam had woken up. Hopefully he knew that there was pancakes on the table ready for him, and also hopefully he wouldn't hate them too, and have that thing start all over again with Liam getting angry. Although she couldn't imagine that little rabbit looking anxious, he was more of a person who would always have a smile on his face no matter what all day and everyday. Anne wanted to say good morning to him, but then again, if she couldn't, why even bother?
Thinking of Liam not liking the pancakes, Anne started to worry about Amy. She hoped that Amy was alright and that she wasn't too mad. It was just about pancakes anyway, it wasn't such a big deal. So why should Anne worry? Well, Anne was the type to worry about these things although it didn't show on her face. She didn't like seeing people angry or annoyed, she found those emotions worthless and pointless. Everyone should just be happy or uncaring, so instead of happy or sad it would be happy and okay. Wouldn't it be much better? That was just her way of thinking as she stood by the door, noticing that the other girl who knew how to turn invisible came out from the hiding place and made her way out as well. Donnie and Annie should head out too, hopefully Liam didn't mind being alone. If he wanted, they could wait . . .
