Development Updates


Here is where I will be making short notes about the work I complete on the RPG for Savage Arts. I will be posting updates weekly as long as I've done something for the game.

Week of ... June through 7/20/13.:
Dungeon designing/play testing is all.
Slightly distracted by moving, work, Civilization 5, and getting ready for fall semester.

Week of 5/29/13:
Trudging along with the final Act 1 (of 3) dungeon, the longest one to date.

Oops! Forgot to update this the last couple months
Week of 5/22/13:
All Side Quests Part 1 Completed.
Initiated next main story quest.
Completed Monster Manual entries for all creatures made so far.

Week of 3/25/13:
5 characters have ways to view enemy information, 2 of which are complete information, the others are specialized.
The Monster Manual is actually always accessible in the Menu.
Only one more side quest to go and I can move on to the main story again. Had a few hiccups but those are smoothed out.

Week of 3/20/13:
Implemented enemy scan item, only purchasable from guild item store.
Created a bestiary book in guild library to review information about previously defeated/encountered enemies. This serves no real purpose but for reference and make more stupid jokes.
Last two side quests are nearly done, they're the only two that require new maps to be made.

Week of 2/25/13:
Completed the puzzle-of-annoyance dungeon. Tweaked when characters earn certain skills by putting healing/support skills a little earlier.
Scripted the first side quest for half of the members, and surprisingly managed to not screw up on any of them.

Week of 2/18/13:
Began working on new maps for story quest. Added jokes to some equipment descriptions that lacked them and I could come up with. Re-structured skills (again).
Tweaking with the experience values earned from monsters; leveling seems to be taking a long time and as a result monsters aren't getting much tougher, which is boring. Also I made a lot of skills for everyone and dang it I want people to be able to get them all.
