Yoruichi Shihoin drew her hidden shortsword invisibly fast and charged her opponent, who clumsily ran forward to meet her. In the few seconds it took them to near each other, a thousand things ran through Yoruichi's mind: His running is clumsy, like a horse, he is leaving his left wide open, his blade is held out too far for him to have any control whatsoever, and he is leaving himself completely open and unprotected. Also, why am I even tutoring these newbies? They seem completely harmless. Oh well, Kisuke had much worse form than this whelp. Skipping slightly to the left, Yoruichi spun and her blade tore a large rip in the young soul reaper's uniform, leaving his skin untouched. Unfaltering, Yoruichi sheathed her blade and strode forward to the stunned student and began her lecture. "I'm sorry, I must have forgotten your name. Was it Sloppy? How about Wide-Open? There isn't just one key to fighting, there are three: defense, offense, and strategy. You must be able to defend against an unexpected attack, even at the last second, you must take whatever opening they give you, and you must plan your attack smoothly and assess your opponent before even thinking about starting a fight." Yoruichi let out a large sigh. "Class dismissed for today, but I expect you all back here at the same time tomorrow, and be sure not to leave your wits behind." Yoruichi wove her hand at the class in dismissal as they turned and headed back to their squads.
She turned to see Sui Feng eyeing her like she had committed a crime or something. "What?" She asked defensively. "I've taught some of the best fighters there are today, one of them standing in front of me, so who says I can't tutor a few struggling students with their fighting?" Yoruichi huffed and crossed her arms, ready for what came next. She mouthed every word that Sui Feng told her: "The Soul Society may have accepted you back into the Seiretei, but you can't go around training students unauthorized. If Captain--" Yoruichi cut her off, "Captain Kuchiki will say nothing, because he won't find out. I'm keeping this discreet." Yoruichi turned and started walking aimlessly as she laced her fingers together and stretched her arms up and let out a nice, long, lazy yawn. "And just how do you intend on making sure those kids keep their traps shut, Yoruichi?! Students like to gossip, and a secret class being taught by the legend Yoruichi Shihoin is definitely going to get around. It's just a matter of time befo--" Sui Feng was once again cut off when Yoruichi spun and looked Sui Feng directly in the eyes. "I know what I'm doing. I am under no one. I have no superiors, no one to report to. I come and go as I please, and I do as I please. Besides," she added, relaxing again and continuing her stroll, "I blackmailed that bunch of kids, and I've been training them for about a week now. Apparently it has worked. I won't let just anyone in my class either. No, I go to the basic training field and look for the weakest, most vulnerable students in desperate need of decent training, then I arrange to speak with them privately. I make sure they know who I am, my reputation, my abilities, and also my ruthless punishment for revealing anything about this class." Yoruichi smirked at this, for she knew she would never harm any of the youngsters, but she would definitely use her reputation to intimidate them into silence. Sui Feng wasn't happy. She sped up to walk next to her former sensei and try to talk some sense into her, but realized it was futile even as she opened her mouth. There was no 'getting through' to her, Yoruichi Shihoin has always been her own person. Impossible to control, manipulate or convince. Then, as Sui Feng kept thinking, she realized that was what she liked most about Yoruichi in the first place. She had no duties, expectations from anybody, no real goal, or as far as Sui Feng knew. She didn't think a single person in the world knew everything about Yoruichi Shihoin. Coming out of her reverie, Sui Feng looked up and gazed at her former master in admiration. Even after the lies, disappearance, and absence for so long, Sui Feng had somehow forgiven Yoruichi and they were almost back to how they used to be, Master and apprentice. Except Sui Feng was now Captain on the Stealth Squad and Yoruichi, a mischievous individual capable of anything she wanted, really. But they were happy for the time being, and Sui Feng was glad for some peace..
Just as soon as that last word passed through Sui Feng's mind, an explosion rattled the ground beneath their feet. The two women looked up and around for the location of the explosion and realized it had come from the direction of the dueling arena. Yoruichi opened her senses to identify the one behind the explosion and chuckled a little, unsurprised, that it was Kenpachi Zaraki. No doubt fighting someone he thought might be as strong as that Kurosaki kid. It had been months since he returned to the human world, and Kenpachi has been relentless. But, Yoruichi was feeling undernourished by the lack of skill of her prior opponents, so she started towards the arena to take him on when Sui Feng stopped her. "Yoruichi.. When will you stop fighting just for the sake of fighting?" She looked up at the Flash Master with pleading eyes, for she just wanted to spend some time with her for once. Yoruichi halted and looked down at the fully grown, yet still young girl by her side. "My dear Sui Feng, when will you start?" And with that, Yoruichi gripped a tree branch above her and flung herself on top of it. "If you can catch me, I won't fight Kenpachi." She said shortly, then leapt off the branch and disappeared in a flash of light. Sui Feng didn't bother, she'd hear about the fight later and speak with Yoruichi more then.
Yoruichi loved her Flash Step. It was almost like flying. It made her feel free. But she wasn't speeding off aimlessly this time. No, she was heading to the arena for a real fight. Those youngsters were just a warm-up for her, Kenpachi would be a fun opponent. She leapt and jumped from branch to branch, climbing higher and higher until she could see inside the arena from above. Kenpachi was brawling with his own lieutenant, Yachiru Kusajika, and she couldn't exactly tell who was winning. The pink-haired girl kept bouncing around and Kenpachi couldn't keep up with his bulky form. Yoruichi jumped from the tree to the roof of a nearby building and used her Flash Step to land on the edge of the arena wall. Her eyes darted back and forth, on Yachiru, until she came close enough. Yoruichi leapt at Yachiru, grabbed her, and rolled away just as Kenpachi's blade sliced into the dirt where Yachiru had stood. Yoruichi stood up and said, "I'd like to take it from here, Yachiru-chan, if you don't mind?" She looked down and the ever-smiling lieutenant soul reaper nodded her approval and skipped off to the exit, chanting, "Kenny can beat her! Kenny can beat anybody! Except for Yachiru-chan, she is too fast for slow-poke Kenny!!" Yoruichi smiled before she looked at Kenpachi, who was catching his breath after running after Yachiru for so long. "What do you say, Captain? Up for a little duel? First one to have an opening for a killing blow wins. How about it, Kenny?" Yoruichi smirked, knowing that using Yachiru-chan's nickname for Kenpachi would fire him up even more. "You're on, Flash Master." Kenpachi didn't even bother finishing the word 'master' before he was charging at Yoruichi at full speed. Yoruichi stood there until that last minute, and when Kenpachi thrust his sword towards her chest, she leapt up and stepped on his sword, balancing perfectly at it's tip. Kenpachi didn't falter, he swung his sword to the side, meaning to throw her balance off, but it worked out just as Yoruichi had planned, and she flipped over in the air, landed directly in front of the Captain, and his sword was still swung to the side, and had her blade at his neck before he could make another move. "I believe that's a match, Kenpachi." She said, smiling. Furious, Kenpachi stormed off to hunt down Yachiru. The crowd that had gathered to watch the duel cheered as Kenpachi left the arena and Yoruichi standing in the middle of it all. She enjoyed being back in the Seiretei, she really did.
