The kitchens on the lowest floor of the student living quarters were always the best for cooking. Everything seemed empty here, and quite frankly, Gunter was quite alright with that. Of course, it wasn't because he didn't like people, it was solely for the fact that more and more recently, his hands were having their annoying spasms, where they would suddenly grow as if an allergic reaction, and he'd be unable to do anything. It was quite embarrassing for the boy; it was so obvious that he didn't have proper control of his abilities yet. In his own mind, he figured that no one had the right to judge him. Everyone struggled with something, and this happened to be his vice.

Anyway, today's dish was something he like to call Nacho Cheese Casserole. Simple, with the main ingredients being ground beef, Nacho Cheese tortilla chips, and lots and lots of cheesy goodness. It didn't even take him that long to prepare, and at this very moment, he sat off to the side as his dish cooked in the oven. When it was done, he'd probably go upstairs to take some to his more recently made friends, and to anyone else who wanted some. More often than not, people rejected his food, finding him some sort of strange alien or what not. It was hard trying to convince some people that he was just as human and normal as they were, but he never let it show it bothered him. Nope, he simple went about his way, which.. Probably didn't help his situation..

Suddenly, a sharp jolt that Gunter was so very familiar went through his arms, down to his elbows, and causing his fingers to tingle. A split second later, his hands grew to a size that nearly surprised himself causing him to fall off his chair and his fists to hit the ground with a dull thunk. Great.. Just great.. There was no way that He could move with such.. Massive things! And soon, his dish would be finished.. Dammit, where was help when you needed it?!

"HEY! IF ANYONE CAN HEAR ME, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU COULD COME TO THE FIRST FLOOR KITCHEN! I'M IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE IN A GRAVE MATTER!!" Gunter called out from his place on the floor. Hopefully, someone WOULD stop by. This actually wasn't the first time this had happened.. Though luckily, last time he was simply waiting for water to boil.. Who knew how long this fit would last?

Hack was on patrol duty this evening, and it was a Very Bad Time for patrol. It wasn't so much the fact that he was on patrol at the students' living quarters, which was rather far away from his usual hangouts, or the fact that patrol in itself was a pretty dull duty to be doing on a lovely evening like this. Oh no, it was a terrible time for patrol duty because it was Dinner Time.

And Hack was hungry. Positively starving.

Several girls tittered past him with sandwiches and he heard his stomach growl.

"Ugh why..." he groaned, staggering around the corner and down a flight of steps. Thank heavens he was almost done at least, just one more floor and he was a free, hungry man.

The technopath had just reached the bottom of the steps when a dull thunk made the floor shake. Hack peered around suspiciously; the likelihood of the cause being some or other student's powers going AWOL was much higher than an earthquake, especially considering where he was at this very moment, but it never hurt to be on the cautious side...

His suspicions were confirmed when he heard yelling down the hallway. A cry for help! Hack dashed down the corridor and burst through the door where the shouting came from... and stalled. A boy in green, or rather, a green boy, was sitting, and he had gargantuan arms that were currently the size of mossy boulders resting against the floor. The man reminded himself to blink. This was the students' dorm, this was a perfectly normal everyday occurence.

"Uh," he began intelligently, slightly distracted by a wonderful smell in the room. "You... need help with anything?" he half grimaced half grinned as he gestured at the boy's enlarged arms.

Although it didn't show on his face, he was quite surprised and relieved that someone had heard him. And.. It was even someone he recognized. One of the helpers at the school, he believed.. He had yet to have direct contact with the other, but that face, and near consistent sound of stomach growls was very hard to forget at any given time. As much as an opportune time this would be for him to observe one of the heroes on his little green book of heroes, there was very much a more pressing matter at hand.

"Yes, yes, I do." He gave his head a little jerk in the direction of the oven, where there was a counter that was counting down the seconds until his dish would start to burn. "I am not too worried about myself right now; this happens all the time to me, but it am a bit concerned as to what might happen if the timer on the stove goes off before I recover from this fit of unexpected.. hand enlargement. Simply put, I'm stuck for now, and there is 20 seconds until the buzzer on the oven goes off. When that time does come, I would vastly appreciate it if you could remove the dish from the oven."

A side of him hoped he hadn't come off as too demanding, but a teacher man is a teacher man after all, right? He was obliged to help the students. ... Perhaps that was the wrong way of thinking. Gunter narrowed his eyes a bit as the counter continued to tick off each second that passed before that shrill ringing sound would signify that there might be no saving the dish if it weren't removed. Naw, he was being far too dramatic about this; an extra five minutes or so wasn't going to ruin this dish at all, but that delicious perfect amount of melted cheese might be missed, in favor of turning that odd shade of burnt.
