Tommy came from two lines of mma fighters and boxers. his grandfather was the Heavyweight Boxer "sharpshooter" Jericho Welkes, and his father was the expert mma fighter "bad boy" Rowan Welkes. Tommy got into the boxing ring for several years until a retinal detachment in his left eye forced him to retire. His competitive career over, Tommy opened a gym and wellness center for competitors and has trained champion MMA Fighters, Boxers, and even wrestlers. Notable wrestlers who have trained at Tommy's gym are former EWA Internet Champion Tim Edgren, "The Alpha Male" Bison Mbadi, and Savannah Leonhart. He currently works as Savannah's Manager and coach in gfed.
