Greetings!

I bid you welcome to WTNC's 2013 Creative Writing contest!
The first and foremost thing to remember is that this is a small contest. There's no need to go all-out! I don't need pages upon pages of stories/stanzas!! Each of these contests will be short poems and short stories. I will be extremely disappointed if you write a loooong poem/short story.
I hope I've made myself clear!

o3) ONLY entries may be posted here; no chatting/commenting/spamming!

Poetry Contest

Poetry Rules

Prize: A custom-made posting style by Echo (and if you've seen them you know how awesome they are).
POSSIBLY a February Monthly Collectible; depends on how much they cost.

o1) The theme is, of course, "Love", or anything involving both platonic and non-platonic love (friendship or romance).
o2) It doesn't have to be about cats.
o3) Formatted poems (sonnets, iambic pentameter, etc) will earn you extra points.
o4) Creativity will earn you extra points.
o5) You can write it about canon characters (characters from the RP) or not (you will not get extra points if you do or don't).
o6) EXCEPTION to rule number 5; you canNOT write about one of Timber's characters as she is the only active judge. (Yes, that means if you're mates with one of my characters, you can't write about their love; sorry. )
o7) Deadline is February 22nd.

*Let it be noted that there isn't actually a point system, I'm just using 'points' as an example.

Short Story Contest

Prize: Definitely a February Monthly Collectible.

o1) Minimum of 250 words, maximum of 20,000 words (but I swear to StarClan if someone writes a 19,999 word story I'll take forever to finish judging )
o2) The theme is Love (non-platonic; HAS to be about romance).
o3) It has to be about cats, specifically warrior cats.
o4) Remember to keep it PG-13; no excessive violence or (StarClan forbid) sexual content.
o5) Keep it non-canon. I don't want a summary of how one of your characters fell in love; use new material, new names, new faces! (In sum, don't use characters from our RP.)
o6) Deadline is February 25th.
