Prompt Welcome to your date! Wintersong and Cullen, I greet you on your trip to an aquarium's underwater restaurant!
But something seems to have happened to your peaceful evening. As you are enjoying your dinner, the thick acrylic begins to crack from the absurd amount of pressure from the tank above.
I do hope you make the most of it!

Cullen was enjoying his date with the lady demon thus far. She was very intriguing to say the least. Cullen had never met one of her race before, and he was making the most of it. "So tell me Wintersong, are you enjoying yourself so far? Do you...." He stopped in mid sentence as the sound of something cracking reached his ears. Looking up at the ceiling of glass, it was evident that something was amiss. A small crack had appeared in the glass above their heads, and that he knew did not bode well for either of them. Not one to cause mass hysteria, he quietly said, "My dear Wintersong, I think it might be best if we moved to the far side of the restaurant for the time being."

Despite being in a romantic trap - an underwater restaurant? Really? - Wintersong found herself slowly relaxing in Cullen's company. She was thankful he wasn't a simpering fool, nor was he afraid of her; he was an engaging conversationalist who seemed to actually have a brain in his head. What a marvel. At the cracking above, her ears flicked up and her eyes followed. A bright orange fish swam across a hairline crack in the tank. She snorted softly and looked at Cullen. " I doubt the far side of this place will do. Not if you still want to be breathing in the next hour. I'm not precisely alive in the normal sense so it won't kill me, but I don't really want to go swimming tonight." Neither did she want to swim through panicked idiots, so she was careful to keep her own voice down. She stood and nodded to him.

Cullen was pleased to find that she was not unduly threatened by the news that they might all be enveloped in water at any moment. As he escorted her away from the dangerously growing crack he said, "I was not implying that we would be any safer over there, but only that I did not want you to be in danger should my forthcoming spell not work." He held out a chair for her to sit down on, and then turned, heading back toward their table.

Amused at the thought that she could be "in danger", Wintersong let herself be seated as Cullen turned back towards the impending disaster. The silly plebians who shared the restaurant with them apparently still did not hear or sense anything amiss. In her opinion that meant they were clearly too stupid to live, but obviously her new friend thought otherwise. She flagged a nearby server down and asked for some water. When it was brought to her, she took a sip and settled back. Dinner and a show. This was getting better and better. She did like magic shows. Hopefully there would be no need for necromancy when this was done. She wondered if Cullen would be offended to be raised back to life.

Cullen walked back over to their table and looked up at the crack. It had become larger in the few minutes it had taken him to walk away and come back. However, there was no water leaking through yet, so there was still time to repair the damage. He stuck his nose under his cape and brought out his wand. He placed it in between the toes of his front paw and pointed it at the ceiling. Slowly, he began to wave the wand in small circles, while quietly chanting the spell that would melt the glass back together, thereby removing the crack.

Wintersong watched carefully as Cullen pulled a wand from nowhere and began waving it while muttering something - she assumed a spell - under his breath at the crack. A somewhat different variety of magic than she was used to, but she supposed for a spell like this, it would be better to have a focus to aim the magic. Her own magic was much simpler; she could use any object nearby as a focus, though it was easier when there was a connection to the object. In fact, the mask that covered her face was the focus that had raised her. She felt the mask warming and humming to the energy from the spell. Oh, and there - she could see the crack getting smaller. Not fast enough, though, as a tiny bit of water dripped onto the table directly below. She held back her snort of amusement as the hapless diners looked about wildly.

Cullen was concentrating on his spell when the drop of water landed on the table beside him. Though the crack was decreasing in size, it was doing so at an alarmingly slow rate considering the effort he was putting into the spell. He could hear the medaria around him now, as they realized something was amiss. He was determined however, to not let this small crack ruin a perfectly delightful date. Something he had not had in a very long time. Perhaps if he was lucky enough, he might even manage to get a little action out of the demon spawn tonight. He decided to go with a new spell, instead of the one to repair the crack. The pressure of the water was just too great for him to repair the crack on his own. He focused his mind on the area surrounding the crack, and began chanting the words of the new spell. Suddenly, the air under the dome started to sparkle and grow thick. It encompassed not only the crack, but a good bit of the surrounding glass as well. To the untrained eye, it appeared as if a fog had mysteriously appeared in the air above their heads, but Cullen knew differently. What he was putting in place was a sort of temporary patch that would contain any amount of water, or fish life, that might break through if the glass broke. He would leave it to the owners of the restaurant to do the tedious work of repairing the glass. When he was satisfied that the spell would hold, he put his wand back beneath his robe and made his way back to his date. "Well then, would you like to return to our table, or remain here for the remainder of dinner?" - quote taken out- FEBRUARY POINTS
