Bramblebur
Name: Bramblebur
Name Origin: Bramble - the common blackberry or any prickly shrub belonging to the rose family; Bur- prickly seed pod that sticks to things
Mate: Breeding Partners: Personality: A kind hearted rabbit with a noble spirit, Bramblebur prefers to think of others over himself. He served under his chief loyally, happy to be in a place that would allow him to do the most good for as many of his warrenmates as he could. While having a good head on his shoulders, his outlook on things generally tends to be optimistic no matter the situation that he finds himself in.
He hates to see others in pain, be it physically or emotionally. He'll do all he can to help make the pained rabbit feel better. Not one to judge by one's appearance, Bramblebur is open and welcoming with who-so-ever comes his way. He's quite open-minded and ready in his willingness to interact with those who some may find to be less than appealing. He feels that no one should be neglected due to what is on the outside, preferring to get to know another before forming ideas and judgements about them.
History: The third born in a litter of five, three girls and two boys, Bramblebur was the second son to be born. His early days were carefree and easy. He played with his four siblings, enjoyed the warm closeness of his family, and the security of the down warren system. The young buck grew quickly, becoming larger than all three of his sisters by the time he was a few months old.
Even from when he was but a kitten, young Bramblebur held an admiration for the hard working and dedicated Owsla. As he grew as an outskirter, though he still spent much time with his siblings, the striped buck took an interest in being able to shadow Owsla officers while they went about their duties around the warren. He kept out of their way, of course, and seemed eager to learn so his presence wasn't minded. After a time, a few of the more friendlier Owsla would swing by the outskirts to ask if he would like to accompany them for some patrol or another, to which the young buck was all too pleased to come with.
Upon reaching buckhood, the young Bramblebur jumped at the chance to join up as a member of the Owsla. He had learned much from his shadowing and participating in some patrols, and he was eager to help his beloved warren and be one of those noble rabbits who protected the warren and worked so closely with their leader. The buck continued to work hard and soon became familiar with the ins and outs of the warren, most of his warrenmates, and aware of the dangers that he would have to contend with in order to protect his warren. He loved the rabbits that lived there like family, and guarded them as such. He was respectful and polite to those who were of higher rank, older than he, and females; understanding but stern with outskirters; and kind, caring, and rather big brotherly towards the warrens kits.
While he did work hard, he was still surprised when he was made Captain of Owsla. He felt so honored and took his duties to heart. Bramblebur would do his leader proud, give his all for his warren, and was willing to give his life if it meant saving some of his warrenmates. That didn't mean he was impulsive, by any means. He used his head, drawing on his experience and the experiences of those around him. Even as Captain, he was still willing to learn if there was something he was unfamiliar with.
