There's got to be more to this life than loneliness

Something was not right in Alexej's world. Something was off. Badly off. After days--no, weeks--no, months of that subtly but powerfully wrong feeling, he could no longer stand it. He let his paws take him where they would, trusting their instincts better than his own muddled feelings. Those pawsteps took him to the most familiar feeling in the world, the most comforting smell. But even that was off. In fact, it was even worse than everything else! He didn't know how to talk, or how to react to it. Instead, he sat and stared at the other noodle, blinking, tail curled around his legs, hoping that the worry and love in his eyes would show.

Lonely, so very lonely, Callie laid in a curled up ball of utter sadness in front of the only place she felt comfort anymore. In front of the fireplace of the shop where most other Noodles seemed to gather. This was her life. Loneliness. Even with others bustling about, she had no one. It had been so long since she had seen Miro. Since their babies had come, really. He had stayed with the family who took him in, and their son seemed to follow. The only other in her world was one of their daughters, but she also seemed off in her own way. Their other daughter always did her own thing. While she was lost in her thoughts, a shiver ran down her spine as she could feel eyes on her from behind. With her eyes laid back against her hair, she slowly turned her head, blinking in complete surprise at seeing her son.

Alexej stared at his mother. The waves of loneliness and sorrow cut him open, skinned him raw. Yes, something was definitely not right. Without hesitation, he padded over to her and pressed his nose into her shoulder in what he hoped she would understand was meant to be a comforting gesture. It was a sobering, sad, horrible thought that, to be honest...he didn't know what she was like. What she liked. What she did. She, his own mother, was a stranger to her...and, it seemed, a stranger to anyone else. The scent of his sisters on her was faint, stale--obviously, he hadn't been the only sibling not to have seen her for a long time. He laid down next to her and snuggled close, hoping that he could alleviate, even a little bit, the hurt that came pouring off of her soft frame.

Callie stared at her son. She was in complete shock. Stunned to silence. He was... so... different from what she remembered him to be. That was a devastatingly sobering thought. The fact that she realized she could hardly remember how her own son looked from not seeing him for so long. The moment he moved toward her, everything in her tensed as she had no idea what to expect. Her eyes squeezed closed, and for some reason beyond her, she braced herself... as if expecting something terrible to happen. And yet, the moment his gentle touch reached her, she peered up to him. It was strange. So strange, but at the same time... oh how she missed the feel of someone to love her. When he curled himself around her, she tucked herself against him, and cried. It just poured from her as her fingers gripped his fur, holding him for fear that he'd be gone if she let go.

He didn't know what he had been expecting, but somehow, the sudden storm of weeping that came from her seemed just about right. Alexej curled his arms around Callie and held her tight to his body, letting her cry into his fur and hold onto him like he was the last solid object in the world.

How long had he left her like this? How long had he forgotten that a cat needed companionship as surely as a wolf? This was all his fault. He should have found her earlier. Should have visited her. He nuzzled her ears and squeezed her tighter, rubbing her back in small (hopefully comforting) circles. He remained silent for a long time, not sure what to say, or even if words were necessary. He would have to make it up to her. She shouldn't have been this sad, this hopeless, this helpless. All abandoned, all alone and frightened and unsure of herself. This wasn't the way the world was supposed to work. This wasn't the way a son should leave his mother.

When he thought she might have cried all that she could (at least for a short time) and could hear him, he murmured softly in her ear, "I'm sorry, Momma. I'm sorry." And he meant it. Sincerely, deeply, truthfully, right down to the core of his heart. He felt tears well up and that same feeling of helplessness coming off of his mother began to creep out of his own skin.

She had no idea were all this was coming from. A good while ago she had cried herself out -- or so she thought -- but now she just couldn't stop it. All the time alone, feeling as if she had done something wrong to be abandoned was just welling up along side the gratefulness she felt toward Alexej for coming for her. Why he came now and out of nowhere was beyond her thinking, but she wouldn't question it.

Her fingers gripped tightly to his fur, her body moving and shuddering as she sobbed. Oh how she wanted to stop, but she just couldn't seem to. Not just yet. And yet... slowly, but surely, her body became exhausted from weeping like she had been, her eyes feeling so heavy as she buried her face against the soft fur of his chest, sniffling. Finally, she was cried out. Tears still brimming her red and puffy eyes, but she was done. Her tiny body unable to continue on.

As Alexej whispered his gentle and sincere apology in her ear, she turned her face up to look at him. At first she couldn't begin to understand why he was apologizing, but then she understood as her emotion weary mind was slowly coming back into focus. Callie turned her head, resting her cheek on his shoulder, sniffling and sighing softly as she tucked her arms against herself. Where were her words? Why couldn't she say something back? Maybe it was because she had the smallest hint of hurt toward him, but... he was here now. Well, even if she couldn't manage words, her mouth managed the slightest of smiles and she nodded. She forgave him.

Did the delicate smile and the nod mean that he was forgiven? Somehow he thought so, but he couldn't quite be sure. He didn't know people, know her enough to make a guess. And the consequences for guessing wrong could be disastrous. Best to err on the side of caution and assume he hadn't said enough? He didn't know what else he could say, but he did know one thing he needed to say, even if he was sure he'd already implied it. Because implications, hints, allegations, they weren't enough. Not now, not ever. They would never be good enough for his mother. "I love you, Momma," he whispered. He sniffled and nuzzled her again. "I'm sorry I haven't said it in a long time. I don't know what's gotten into me. But I love you, and I promise I won't go away again."

The small smile remained on her face as she gently swiped the tears from her eyes. This didn't change the fact that she had been alone for so long, but just having her son there, feeling as if she mattered to someone again was the most wonderful feeling that she had felt in so long. Her tired, weary eyes blinked as he whispered those words to her, in a place of shock once more. It had been so long since she heard anything so wonderful. Though her daughters were around once in a while, they didn't say such things to her often, if at all. It was just how they were and she had gotten to the point where she was sure those words wouldn't be said to her again. Her lip trembled and she swiped at her eyes again, tears threatening to spill over again. "Alexej... I... I love you too..." and that was all she could manage before crying again. She had held so much in for so long, and it only made her an overflowing fountain of emotions now. She laughed at herself softly, biting on her lip for a moment before speaking softly. "I... have missed you..." A look of pain spread over her face, her eyes falling before she said her next words as she tried to hide the hurt in them. "How... how is... your... dad?" And she quickly put her fingers up to her mouth, chewing on the tips in a nervous way as she waited for his answer.

Alexej didn't understand people. He just didn't. He didn't have the experience, or, or the inclinations, but although it hardly made any sense to him...her crying was a good thing? It was bad. It really was, she shouldn't have been crying, but he thought he preferred her crying to the confused look on her face when he had appeared. She shouldn't be confused! What had he done?! Her tears brought out his, and soon he was sniffling in earnest and squeezing her tighter and tighter as if seeking comfort. "Me too...I'm sorry, Momma..." He couldn't even talk anymore. He was choked up with his own emotions, blubbering softly into her shoulder.

It wasn't hard to hear the hurt in Callie's voice, and that brought Alexej's thoughts to another place. His father...Even he didn't see that much of his father...his mother surely hadn't seen him in, well, how long had it been now?! He didn't answer her question. Instead, he said, "We're gonna go get him. Or I'm gonna go get him. I promise, Momma, I'll find him and I'll bring him to you and he can apologize, too."

This was so hard. It felt like the most bitter-sweet moment as she felt both so and sad so comforted by his embrace, by his presence. It was so unexpected and so needed, but brought so much hurt bubbling to the surface through her tears. But... the moment he began to cry, her heart felt such a pain. A pain from her baby hurting, too. That was harder to handle than anything she had felt. her arms moved, wrapping around him and holding him to her. As she cried still, she nuzzled him gently, cooing softly to comfort him. "Don't... don't cry baby... Please..." Gently she stroked her fingers over the back of his neck as she nuzzled him.

The moment that he spoke of Miro, though, everything in her tensed. Even though being with her family was what she wanted more than anything for so long... being with Miro... the thought of actually seeing him now was near terrifying. Burying her face against him, she hid a wince. It was.. so puzzling because for a few moment she almost thought she didn't want to see him. He left her by herself. Alone. But finally she pulled back slightly, ears fallen again, nodding as she kept her eyes down. "O... okay..."

He couldn't explain to her why he was crying--that just wasn't possible. It wouldn't make sense, or worse, she would feel guilty for making him cry. I'm crying because you are, and you shouldn't have to. His tail was wrapped firmly around her by now, and his ears were buried deep in his hair. But for her sake, even though he didn't want to, he tried not to cry. He really did. He tried to suck all of that emotion back into himself and he gave a long sniff. He didn't bother to wipe away his tears, though.

He felt the tensing, he felt the wince. Callie didn't like that idea. But Alexej...he didn't like the idea that his mother was alone. She needed someone. She needed her mate, and he was going to bring his, his feckless father over here to apologize for what he'd done to her and get back together. Then he'd find his sisters and drag them back over. Yes, they were going to be a family again, and there was nothing anyone could do about it! "We'll go together," he said softly.

Out of everything she had felt, all the loneliness and pain, him crying was the worst because she knew it was because of her. He didn't have to say a thing. She had made him cry while she was wrapped up in her of emotions. As she felt him trying to calm himself down and stopped crying, she purred ever so softly to him, continuing to stroke the back of his neck softly until she had pulled back. "It's okay baby... don't cry..." She knew that children would go and do their own things. It's what they do when they grow. He shouldn't feel bad.

As she sat there, looking to him, her mind was a crazy mess of thoughts and emotions that she was trying so hard to keep to herself. She didn't want him to be overwhelmed by her racing thoughts and crazy emotions. Needless to say, it was difficult and she was sure he could feel some of what was going on inside her. An ever softly whispered "Okay" was all she could say without coming apart at the seems again, her head hanging so she could hide her face while trying not to start crying again. This... is a good thing.... Family... Yes. She could do this. And putting on her best, brave smile she could manage, her eyes peered up to him, still red and puffy, and yet hopeful. "Let's... go...." she finally said in another soft whisper.

Alexej tried to pull in all his tears, tried to dry them on the end of his scarf. He still didn't feel right, and he was sure his mother was still upset beyond mere words, but...things would be better now, right? Well, they will be soon! And after Father, it'll be my sisters! He relaxed against Callie's massaging motions and returned her purr with a very soft, slightly uncertain one. Was she okay? No, probably not. He'd forced her into her shell. Not a good thing.

He smiled that she was willing to go with him, though. He would make everything right. He would absolutely make everything right. He gave her a smile and took her hand, leading her towards the door slowly, tail still wrapped around her. "It's going to be okay, Momma. Okay."

Callie watched him as he tried to pull himself back together from crying, the way he seemed to struggle with it... it was hard to watch. She did her best as she continued to let her fingers stroke over the back of his neck and into his hair gently, glad that it seemed to help soothe him some. It was all she could really do. She had come to not feel good for anything, so this was at least good. While he was still close enough, she moved, stretching up to put a soft kiss to the tip of his nose.

The moment he moved her, the start of their journey to see Miro, she shuddered. It was going to be hard. So hard for her. If not for his hand holding hers and his tail curled around her, she might have skittered into hiding. Giving one more nod, she stepped with him. It would be a quiet walk on her part, most likely spent trying to keep her frayed nerves from getting to her even more. Soon she would see him... and.. maybe... things would get better.

Alexej held his mother's hand the whole way, squeezing it every so often and going slowly for her. He knew it was difficult. How difficult, he didn't know. He could imagine how difficult, but it wasn't the same, was it? He did what he could, holding her as close as he could, nuzzling her occasionally, keeping his tail around her all the way to the woods. He wasn't sure where exactly he could find his father, but he had a few guesses. The first place to check was the woods. It seemed likely that Miroslav could be there.

Under a Different Light

The night was young and still, and with the new moon, the woods were sheathed in shadow. Like the trees, the moon slumbered in the darkness, casting the night in blades of black. It was this phase of the moon the werewolf loved best--when the thoughts of savagery and servitude could not be further from his mind. Now he was in control of himself, free to do as he pleased without concern for baser instincts. The night was his. Wholly and truly his. He wandered through the night, sniffing and exploring, marveling at how the absence of light changed everything. Everything was changed. Everything was different.

A shifting breeze. A stir of wind at the nape of his neck. Suddenly, Miroslav stopped dead in his tracks. Ignoring his nose, he instead flicked his ears and listened. Nothing. But for the whisper of the wind, the night was silent, cold. Something...wasn't right. The werewolf was suddenly and acutely aware of how quiet the world was. Not a single soul anywhere around. Something...wasn't right.

Walking along with her son, she felt safe, but so nervous. The darkness of the forest they had entered was eerie... unnerving. Could her mate really be in a place like this? Why would he?.... Then again she knew so little about him in the end, so she couldn't even begin to really think why he'd be in a place like this. Callie's steps were light, barely making a sound as she walked silently, her fur standing on end as the shadows and sounds of the forest were becoming more and more spooky for the little cat.

The chilled breeze that blew past them sent a shudder down her spine, her eyes darting about, looking for something. What? Even she didn't know, but now seemed like the time where the something big and bad would come out, ready to spring. The declawed kitty froze in place, ears flicking about, her nerves making itself known on her face

Alexej curled his tail around Callie's shoulder even as he felt his own hackles raise. This was the right thing to do. He wasn't in doubt about that. What he was suddenly in doubt about was whether or not this was a safe thing to do. Thin black claws slid out of his paws as he stopped to scent the air. It was full of the smell of late winter--dead trees, stripped bark, the winter animals wandering about lost in the cold. And there. There, hovering just there in the air, the taste of wolf. His father had been by here. The were-cat leaned against his mother reassuringly as he led the way into a clearing. The vaguest, scantest light of the night dimly showed the other noodle on the other side of the clearing, looking around as if in confusion. Miroslav.

The comfort that her son's protective and sweet gesture brought as they had walked together, was so very needed. Not only was he trying to bring their family back together, but he was making she she felt safe... and loved. Two things she had not had in so very long. Though as her fur was bristling, she noticed that Alexej was having about the same reaction as well, claws coming out too. Was this really such a good idea if he was so unnerved as well? Doing her best to keep herself from coming unraveled, she pressed her side against her son's. Then, as her eyes followed his line of sight across the way, she froze. It was a familiar silhouette. One that managed to make her quake. Not because she feared him, but because she feared that the reason he had chosen to stay away from her was because she was unwanted by him. As that thought rose in her mind, her anxiety was clear as crystal even in the dark.

There was a familiar smell in the air, one of...well, he couldn't describe it. But it was a familiar smell. A pleasant one. One that he identified with...hope. Happiness. Pleasant dreams. Freedom. Love. Callie. Before he knew it, Miroslav was turning around. It was too dark for him to see, but he could smell Callie on the other side of the clearing. She was close. She was near. She was...forgotten...

Miro hesitated. Callie...how had he forgotten what she smelled like? That wonderful, petite smell?! The one that was nearest and dearest to his heart?! How had it taken more than an instant to recognize her? And now that he took another breath, he smelled hesitation, fear, so bitter and sharp, mingled in her scent. Callie...she was afraid...and he wasn't at her side. Instead, he could smell his son next to her, and he could sense...something from Alexej, something besides the fear he could smell. No matter. Without hesitating a single instant more, he leaped towards his mate and child, nuzzling Callie and licking at her chin. He gave a canine whine, one long associated by his kind with submission, apology, and worry. Stupid, stupid! What did I do?! What have I done?!

Alexej's eyes narrowed as his father charged forward. He leaned closer against his mother. So. His father finally remembered him. Oh, well done.

Standing there, awkwardly and scared, everything in her tensed as Miro came straight toward them. She pressed herself against Alexej more. Her eyes shot open, puzzled in her shock as he came right up to her, nuzzling and licking. After a few moments, a held breath that she didn't know she had, was sighed out, tears following. He remembered her. He missed her... or so it seemed anyways. Sniffling, she tried to hold back more tears. She had shed so many earlier, but it couldn't be helped now. Unable to stop herself, Callie moved and tucked herself under his chin, pressing against him as she cried. Tiny paws gripped at the fluff of his jacket, nuzzling her face against him. Partly to try and wipe the tears away, but mostly for the fact that she had missed him so. Oh his scent.. it seemed so foreign and yet reassuring and comforting. ".. Mi.. ro... "she sobbed softly against him.

Miroslav wrapped his arms around Callie's waist, but instinct refused to allow him to let her head remain under his chin. He gave an insistent whine and he licked the tears off her cheeks and lapped at her jaw. He held her tight against his chest and, ears laid back against his neck, he nuzzled at hers and squeezed her just a little bit tighter. He'd done wrong, and he was utterly, bitterly ashamed of himself. "Callie," he whispered. "I'm so, so sorry. Callie, I'm so sorry." Tears were beginning to form in his own eyes at the thought of what he'd so stupidly almost lost.

Callie gave a soft cry as she was held against her mate so tightly, more so as he wouldn't let her just hide under his chin against him and just sob like she needed. The way he whined and licked her made her shiver. Oh how she had missed feeling so wanted like this. It felt so bittersweet at first when many different thoughts flooded her mind, and yet, after a few moments, all she could taste was the sweetness of being back in his arms. And as he apologized, she squeezed her eyes closed. What had happened had hurt so much, and even their reunion had such a sting to it at first, but even though she had been hurt, she could never be mad... especially not at him. When his tongue stopped trying to lick away her tears, she quickly tucked herself under his chin once more, needing to just be surrounded by him. Her tears slowed and her crying became soft, quiet sobs between breaths as she nuzzled the fur on his chest, her fingers threading through and gripping the fluff on his coat. Each breath in was soothing, the scent of him calming her further until she felt at peace. Her eyes were heavy and tired from such an emotional time. Crying took so much out of her. With the slightest of smiles on her face, she let her eyes flutter closed, resting her head on his chest to hear his heartbeat as her crying finally stopped. Quietly she cooed to him in a tired voice "I.. missed you... so..."

Miro finally let his mate bury her head under his chin--it seemed she needed him to comfort her in this way. He compensated by pulling her tighter against his body, his tail tucked firmly between his legs. He couldn't help but breathe in the scent of her, the warm, sweet scent of his love, too long forgotten and cast aside. He was a cur. It was true. "I'm sorry," he whispered. "Callie, I'm so, so sorry. I'm sorry I did this to you. Callie, please forgive me. I'll never leave you again, I promise." He was himself close to sobbing, tears running freely down his cheeks in sorrow, remorse, and anger at himself.

It was a relief as Miro finally let her hide herself against him. This was what she needed. Just to be wrapped up tight, safe and sound, and cared for in his arms. She had never been through such an emotional time and it had drained her so completely, almost nodding off as she could hear the pounding of his heart. It was like a lullaby, trying to coax her into sleep. But as much as her body wanted to sleep, her still racing mind wouldn't let her. Not just yet. His apologies broke her heart the way that loneliness and their son's had, and yet it hurt far worse. Slowly she shook her head, just enough to where he'd be able to feel it. "Miro..." but that's all she could manage right then, choking on soft sobs that threatened to start again. Just knowing he wouldn't leave her alone again was what she needed. Her small fingers' hold on the fur of his coat tightened before weakening, her body and mind now completely exhausted. With the smallest of smiles on her face, she peered to Alexej, mouthing a thank you to him before sleep took her and she nodded off against her mate

The only thing that was racing through Miro's mind as his mate began to shake with sobs once more was panic (and a few bad words. Well, okay, more than a few. All directed at himself.) and he instantly thought he'd done something wrong. He couldn't say anything, though--he was too panicked, too choked to say anything. Why was she shaking her head?! Had he gone so far as to be beyond forgiveness? For what reason was the grip on his coat loosening? Still cuddling her against his chest in a grip he would never loosen, he glanced desperately at his son, who had been watching the affair in silence, for guidance.

Alexej gave his mother a smile at her gratitude. Not that it was necessary--she was happy, his family was one step closer to being together. It wasn't there yet. Not by a long shot. And if his father was now panicky, well, that was what he deserved at this point, wasn't it? Nonetheless, he tried not to roll his eyes at his father's confusion. Instead, he set aside his dignity for a moment to make a canine gesture (awkwardly, he was a cat, after all! He'd never done this before!): a small tail wag, just where his father could see. You done bad, dog. But you're on the track to doing good. So calm down. He even gave his father a tiny, sarcastic smile.

Miro didn't even notice the snideness of his son's smile. Instead, he just gave him a grateful look and wagged his tail just enough to show his appreciation. So Callie wasn't mad him anymore? Or was she? Well, Alexej seemed to think it was alright, but...was it?

A Picnic by the Moonlight, Oh How it Feels So Right

Miro: [Arranges a picnic basket and looks around for Callie]

Callie: -uncurls from her place after her nap, yawning- .. -flicking her ears, she raises her head, looking about for Miro-

Miro: [Plops the basket next to his mate and nuzzles her] Callie. <3

Callie: -jumps slightly, startled by the basket, giving a squeak- .. Miro~ -purrs, nestling against him and nuzzling- What's the basket for?~ -mrows quietly-

Miro: [Waves his tail and pulls her close] There's food inside. ^^ It's for carrying food to a nice place to sit and eat.

Callie: A Picnic?~ -curiously, she reaches over, lifting the top to try and take a peek at what's inside- So where are we going for it?~ -leans in closer for a better peek-

Miro: I hadn't thought that far. Somewhere with a nice view?

Callie: -giggling, she rubs up against her mate under his chin, purring- Well let's go, then~ I'm sure we can find a beautiful place to enjoy it~

Miro: I was thinking a hill or a tree or something, somewhere to watch the sunset.

Callie: -squeaks, trying to fight back a sneeze as she rubs her nose. standing up, she rubs against her mate, then takes a few steps forward- Then let's go~ Don't want to miss that sunset!~

Miro: [Scoops up the basket and licks Callie on the nose] Follow me then, I guess? [Wags his tail]

Callie: -giving a giggle at the lick, she rubs her nose lightly with her paw, more than happy to follow him to wherever they may lead them... but of course, not without weaving between his legs and rubbing against him-

Miro: [Stops to nuzzle her and carefully extricate her from his legs before he trips on her and falls] ^^ <3 [He then leads the way to a quiet hilltop away from the bright lights.]

Callie: -she gave a purring mewl at the nuzzle, squeaking quietly as she's moved out of the way of his walking, a coy smile on her face- Sorry, Miro~... -Eyes going wide at the sight of the hilltop, she padded ahead of her mate to peer over the view from the top, in awe of it-

Miro: [Watches her for a few moments, then unpacks the basket and sets things up] That's okay.

Callie: -she sat there, wide-eyed and amazed by the sight before her. Sure she had seen this area quite a bit, but for some reason it was exceptionally beautiful right now. Blushing, she rubbed her paw over her cheek before padding back to her mate, rubbing against him once more with a happy purr rumbling from her-

Miro: [He got up to meet her halfway, rubbing and nuzzling her with his tail wagging furiously back and forth] Do you like it? This place, I mean?

Callie: -she looked up to him, eyes just sparkling- I do! It's such a.. ah.. -quickly she covered her nose before she sneezed- @w@ A beautiful place~ I just never realized how much so until tonight ^ ^~ <3

Miro: [Nuzzles her and licks her chin; he wriggles closer to her so he can pull her against his side] I'm glad you like it. ^^;; I really wanted to share it with you as soon as I saw it.

Callie: -laughing happily, she cuddled up to him as he wriggled closer and pulled her against him. Giving a content sigh, she rested her head against him, smiling as she looked out at the view- Thank you, Miro... It's so beautiful. Couldn't imagine anything to make this more wonderful~

Miro: [Nuzzles her and huddles down next to her to maximize the amount of him touching her] We have each other, we have the scenery...we also have food. Would that make it better, or just dilute it?

Callie: -she tucked herself in against him, purring softly and feeling so content just this way. She gave a small laugh, shaking her head- Of course not, Miro~ That makes it all the better. -she blushed, feeling silly-

Miro: Oh. I'm glad you feel that way, or I'd feel silly for having brought food. ^^ [He nuzzles her again and makes no movement back towards the basket]

Callie: Well... You are silly in your own right anyways, Miro -purring softly, she just stayed there, curled against him and enjoying this time together. Yes, she was actually a bit hungry, but she'd rather just stay close to him... that is until her stomach grumbled- o///o Uhm... What did you bring in the basket? -gives a soft laugh as her cheeks turned a soft pink in a blush-

Miro: [Being silly wasn't always a good thing, but when Callie said it, it felt like a good thing. Besides, he was a dog--dogs did silly things. That's just what he was. He nuzzled her, then reached out for the basket to bring it in closer so that he and Callie wouldn't have to move] Good stuff! ^^ Sandwiches and cold cuts and things. I...wasn't sure what you'd like...I hope this is okay?

Callie: Always good stuff when I'm near you, Miro. -she cuddled closer to him as he moved, hoping that he wasn't going anywhere, and so grateful when he wasn't leaving. She loved this. Love time with just them together. Time where she could be close and feel safe, warm, and wanted. With a soft mrowl and her curiosity piqued, she peered at the basket, tail swaying back and forth happily- That sounds yummy~ -and as her stomach growled once more, she giggled shyly, shrinking down some as she opened the basket and snitched up a sandwich to nibble on-
