Deciding that like the trainer's other injuries so far the burn was painful, but not immediately threatening or in need of professional treatment, Shina slathered the burned hand with burn cream. Keria's hand was slightly cool from the iced wrap, enough to have stopped the burn from getting worse, so Shina decided to leave off any more ice on the hand. The cream Shina applied instead was soothing, with moisturizing agents and antibiotics to prevent the delicate skin from cracking or becoming infected, and had a topical painkiller as well. Pulling out a roll of bandages, she wound the fabric around the hand and fingers, covering the injury completely.
"That bandage needs to stay dry, and it will make that hand clumsy for a bit," Shina warned. Reaching into the kit again, she pulled out a few gloves sized for men's hands. "I'll change the wrap in the morning, but if you need to get the hand wet before then, put a glove on to keep water out of the bandages. If you shower, tape the edge of the glove down. Let me know if it gets wet anyway," Shina said firmly. While the burn wasn't too bad, babying it would help it heal faster so Keria could start using it again. "Any other injuries?" she asked.
