"Resin and I would have helped! The last thing I need is for you to get hurt!" Trenton snarled.
Luthe smiled and scratched the back of a twitching ear bashfully, flattered by the title he was called. "P-Please, I'm hardly a king anymore." he murmured before his ears twitched from the yelling nearby. He looked over and cringed at the sight of Dorothy and Trenton fighting. "S-Should we help them?" he asked almost like a scared child.

Trenton growled, too angry to even acknowledge to hit that succeeded in nudging his body. "You think I was just going to stand and watch?! Unlike you I had a plan! A plan to keep both you and Deidre safe! But no! You had to risk your damn life on impulse!" He swung a fist around in the air out of anger as worry and sadness flashed in his eyes for a moment. "Do you have any idea how hard it would be for me if anything happened to you?!"
Twitching from the scratches, Luthe soon leaned into it and let out a quiet purr of delight, his tail swishing around slowly.

Trenton leaned back, looking as if he had been struck. "Is that what you think?" he whispered. "You think I'm just some heartless fool who could care less about you? Did you not hear a single damn thing I told you back in the forest?!" he said with a rising voice. He stood, slumped with disbelief. "Nothing I did got through to you..." he mumbled more to himself than to her.
"I-I'm not adorable!" Luthe protested through his purrs.

"Mmmmmmmrrrrr, don't call me kiiiiiid!" Luthe whined loud enough to cause a few birds to fly out of their trees, terrified. Realizing how loud he was, the neko squeaked and pressed his hands to his mouth, blushing from humiliation.
Trenton clenched his jaw, bracing himself for a slap or whatever abuse Dorothy would throw at him. He blinked when she set her hands on his shoulders, but before he could figure out what she was going to do next, his ears twitched at a high sound and caused him to cringe just out of kissing range. "What the-?" he scowled whiled grabbing his ears, turning to where it came from. There he saw the neko blushing from whatever he blushed from. Trenton glared at him before looking back at Dorothy, raising an eyebrow as he tried to figure out what she was currently doing.
