This style was developed by Sol Samson, who masterfully focused on combining his taijutsu with his fire abilities as a Heat Taker. Later, others would discover that with the right training they could learn the style as well. They just needed to have Katon as an element. Style Requirements: Katon element, Taijutsu class
Stage 1 Stage Description: Movement is a key part to any taijutsu style. Without many ninjutsu, and no genjutsu to rely on, superior mobility is essential. This stage is known as learning the aspect of Smoke, the traveling flame. With its movements the user learns how to move quickly and stealth-fully around an opponent's position. Users move about by leaving a faint image of themselves behind when they move, like a mirage made from their katon. This tricks even sharingan eyes, so that by the time they realize the user has moved the user has already flashed over to their desired designation. Often times the user simply seems to crouch or make a single movement before appearing where they stop, almost like transportation. Their movement cannot be glimpsed so long as the user's speed is equal or greater than their opponent's. Otherwise those used to the higher speeds can perceive the secret behind the movement and react before the user reaches their destination.
Stage Powers: +1 speed Stage Training: The user places themselves in a fire and surrounds themselves with smoke. They observe how the smoke wavers and flows without notice, and then the user learns from that and makes their own movements. They learn to hide the direction of their movement before bursting to the place they're needed, as unnoticed and as quick/forceful as the smoke. Takes 5 posts.
Stage Jutsu: Shade ForwardRank: E
Description: User disappears and reappears in front of their opponent, about a foot away. The shock of them moving so close in seemingly so short a time often gives the user an opening to strike before their opponent can react.
Shade BackwardRank: E
Description: The opposite of Shade Forward, the user disappears from their opponent's front and quickly backsteps away. This is excellent for dodging short-range attacks as the user can retreat a large amount of ground in an instant, however, the nature of the movement keeps the user in the same line of fire so projectile attacks will often still reach.
Shade TurnRank: E
Description: User disappears and reappears at one of the opponent's sides. The user hides themselves in the opponent's blindspot before the strike, which usually helps disguise their next strike. If done correctly, the user will simply seem to disappear and hit their opponent before they even notice what has happened.
BlackoutRank: D
Description: Possibly the trickiest of the movements, the user crouches slightly and vanishes in a burst of movement. They can only travel up to 10ft forward, but if the opponent in is that range then in that movement they can shoot straight through their opponent and appear at their back. If the opponent is farther away, then this is still an excellent technique for closing distance without getting too close.
Shade Counter-ShiftRank: D
Description: Used to counter a frontal attack. The user steps forward and when the opponent attacks their strike appears to go straight through you. This is simply a mirage, however, while the real user slips out of the opponent's peripheral vision and moves into their blind spot on either side of their opponent. This position usually gives the user an opening to strike. Because their peripheral vision is significantly expanded, this technique does not work against the byakugan.
Shade Double-ShiftRank: C
Description: Same as Shade Counter-Shift, only the user shifts twice. They shift once to the opponent's side, and then shift again to either appear facing the opponent's back or their front again. This is best used against opponents who have seen the normal Shade Counter-Shift, as the user can trick them by appearing where they don't expect.
Stage 2 Stage Description: The user focuses on the aspect of ash, or embers, also known as the ground flame. It is the small but unexpected fire, the one hardest to snuff out. As such this stage focuses on defensive moves and low to the ground fire-based taijutsu attacks.
Stage Powers: You can use katon jutsu with your legs/feet.
Stage Training: The user practice the movements of the style on a bed of ash and embers. They stay low, rolling in the ash and fire to help them focus their attacks. This takes 5 posts of training.
