After discussing it in the mod section of the guild, we have decided a way to continue the progression of NFS. The goal of this new campaign is to encourage and reward group role play as well as to provide a more structured rp to those who may or may not have a strong level of understanding when it comes to system related activity. By participating in this campaign you will be exposed to every aspect of the guilds system, as well as a few new things which have not been displayed publicly yet.
From Student to Kage...
Ideally, the campaign will last until someone is strong enough to become the Kage of the selected village. All players will start as academy students, however players are also given the option to apply as a Chuunin. For every three genin there will be at least one Chuunin rank or higher. This is to ensure that there is a proper balance of strength, as well as making sure that squads have an actual teacher. To apply as a Chuunin, simply state your interest in the registration post. Keep in mind that ultimately the mods will decide who is allowed to play the role of Chuunin in this campaign.
Note: In order to be considered for the position of Sensei you must have at least basic knowledge of the guilds battle system.
Risk of Death / Damage...
By participating in this campaign you are also giving your consent to slightly harsher rules in regards to death and damage. If your character is killed you will be allowed to reset your character as per the rules of death. However, you will not be able to revive your character through the lines rpd method. (By RPing out 25 x Your Level Lines) It will become possible to cheat death later in the campaign through the use of story earned jutsu, or advanced medical abilities (in the event that someone level's a medic properly)
Status effects, such as damage, fatigue, chakra loss and even item usage will be actively monitored. This is already a rule in NFS, however I felt as though it should be mentioned. These things will be checked regularly.
Modded Storyline vs Player Freedom...
Ultimately, players actions and decisions will shape the out come of the story. We have not forgotten that this is a rp. More so, we are taking a more traditional approach to things, much in the way a DM would take in a normal in person table top RPG. What this means is, the Mods' will have a certain level of control over the storyline and will have the right to tweak things as they see fit. This does not mean that the mods will decide what happens in the end, they are simply tasked will ensuring that the story remains interesting. With that said, it is possible that the players will be faced with challenges that are seemingly impossible for them. Just like Naruto on his mission through wave, there will be times when the situation seems to be out of your level range. This is ok and is to be expected. Part of the intensity of the rp is that there will be danger, there will be times when your best course of action is to plainly run away.
Registration will be open until we are prepared to begin. If you would like to participate, please post in this thread answering the following questions in your post. After you have posted your registration, be sure to vote in the poll so that we can keep an easy to read record of our numbers.
1. What is your current character level
2. Would you like to participate as a student or sensei
3. How active do you plan to be (please be honest)

---Dying:
In the critical section you will notice it says that players can be set to "dying". Now this means that the character is, for all intents and purposes dead. Ie, they can't take any actions and without medical attention or extreme force of willpower may surely die.
When in this state players may make 7 checks (1 per day, though if absent for a day that you don't roll it does not count towards your 7 as no check was made up to 2 weeks after which any unmade checks are forfiet). Failure of all these checks mean the character gets a free character reset (shown below).
......Revive Check: The players allies may attempt to revive them taking the daily check of "Int(x2) + Int Buff(x2) + Medicate Jutsu Buff + Medicate Item Buff + Misc vs Death Rating"
Up to 3 other players may assist in this check granting a +50 to the person making the check.
......Tough: A tough enough character, or one without allies to revive them may instead opt to take a check of "Toughnessx2 + Toughness Buffx2 + Resilience Item Buffx2 + Misc vs Death Rating". This does lower the "optimal" roll, but is a way for those whom have alienated themselves (by having no allies or dying in the middle of a far away road) to still attempt at coming back.
...Death Rating...
A players death rating starts at 100 and increases by 100 every time they die.
...Death Reset...
When a character fails the 7 checks (or passes the two week limit without succeeding one of the checks) they are allowed to "reset" their character.
They do this in the following order:
Reorder Stats > Choose Clan > Choose Role > Make Jutsu > Make Items > Choose Perks
Reordering Stats simply means they reorginize where stats are placed (ie you may take 150 from seal speed and make it willpower, though you may not add two of these together to the same stat nor break any up.)
Making Jutsu is the same as before, this allows you to remake them (and items) to better reflect your new character.
Lastly you may choose perks based off your new stats (ie limits for stat req's are increased to your new re-ordered stats).
