General Set-Up

The general set-up is just the units comprised into the stuffsz and This is the organizational sections, and their general leaders and rank, although it can change depending on the scenario.

This is essentially, the "rifleman's" set up. Various logistical and heavy weaponry units are added as needed and are incorporated into the unit. For instance, each company also possess one "weapons" platoon, that incorporates mortars, artillery, and tanks, while there are both medics incorporated into platoons and as a separate unit attached to each company.

There is also a general medical and heavy weapons "corps", that are essentially a distinct organization that can task various units associated with various companies as need be.

Units are both integrated directly into units and can operate outside them depending on the scenario. This kind of tactical and strategic flexibility is paramount to the structure of Manokan Forces.

Also, despite the unit groups, Manokan forces generally operate in Expeditionary units, self contained units tasked as specific criteria or a part of a larger invading force. These units generally incorporate a regiment plus various weapons, medical, and logistical units, totaling around 2200 total units, or an additional 800 units in addition to the 1400 infantry units.

Fireteam- 4, Grenadier, Riflemen, Riflemen, Assault/Suppressive Fire
Leader: Corporal

The basic unit of the squad, comprised of four individuals; the grenadier, riflemen, an additional riflemen with other capabilities (generally a scout unit), and the suppressive fire or assault weapons unit. The grenadier can carry any weapon from an underslung grenade launcher to a more sophisticated weapon; often times, a grenadier's job is more integral to their unit, than their weapon, although depending on the situation their back up weapon may be more closely related.

A fireteams general duty is to provide covering fire and advance; as soon as the fireteam is within range of the enemy to provide accurate fire without unnecessarily exposing themselves or use heavier weapons, they are to engage them with those, essentially providing heavier firepower as they close in with the enemy.

Due to the nature of their volume and intended scope, they serve as the primary unit of the Manokan forces.

Squad- 3 fire teams,14, Sergeant*
Leader- Sergeant

The squad is essentially, the smallest self contained unit of the force. Organized into groups of 3, they allow both tactical and strategic capabilities down to the squad level if necdesary. Ambushes, L ambushes, surrounding the enemy, general advancement, and many other actions are capable with a geometric squad approach, which requires a minimum of 3 units.

The squad is intended to provide a unit with everything necessary to engage an enemy on foot. A squad has, generally, a marksmen and a medic attached, in addition to a sergeant, increasing the unit's size from 12 (from 3 fireteams) to 15.

A squad is generally lead by a sergeant, although depending on the circumstance it may be a corporal, or an 0-3 or higher.

Platoon- 3 Squads, +platoon snipers and medics
Leader- 1st Lieutenant 3 squads + sniper and medic, 50, Lieutenant, 2nd Lieutenant, Medic and sniper

A platoon is comprised of roughly 3 squads, and has a platoon sniper, platoon medic unit, and often 2nd lieutenant and various aids. Most platoons also have a mortar unit (3-6 individuals), heavy weapons (2-6) and artillery (5-11) unit attached. Despite this, the general command of a "weapons" platoon is attached to a company and they can engage the enemy as distinct units in addition to their general attachment to a platoon.

A platoon is also comprised of 3 squads, allowing for geometric squad attacks, and platoons can engage the enemy in such a manner, as well. Generally, fireteam protocol will take place for the infantry, allowing their advance, rather than advancing as a single unit. This allows more tactical flexibility, and spreads out the units in the field.

Company- 3 Platoons, 154, Captain, plus aids and warrant officers
Leader- Captain

A company is comprised of 3 platoons, just as most things runs in the "rule of three". A company is generally lead by a captain, and a few other officers, such as lieutenants. A captain often accompanies the soldiers in the field, as a field officer.

A company typical is in direct control of "weapons" and medical platoons, as they are attached to the company. Despite their integration into the squad and even platoon level, the primary commands for these units come from the expeditionary command, often times from the company command.

In this, way, "unused" artillery and mortar units can engage the enemy as a team, or when necessary, augmenting all units who require it, rather than having less activity when attached to a single unit.

Despite this, they often provide fire support for their particular units in the field.

Just as squads can possess strategic capabilities, so too can companies.

Battalion- 465, 3 Companies, Major, aids
Leader: Major

Comprised of 3 companies, this unit also has a company of weapons, medics, and other units attached to it. They can act independently or can be lead by other units.

This unit is generally lead by a major, although depending on the situation their rank may be somewhat higher or lower. A major may or may not be involved in field combat, or they may be multiple majors assigned to a battalion or company.

Regiment- 1,400, 3 Battalions
Leader: Colonel, General

Generally the unit that comprises the bulk of an expeditionary force. Despite this, at least 800 support and logistical troops, including aircraft, and naval vessels, comprise an expeditionary unit. A colonel or general is generally in charge of this unit, with several higher non-commissioned and commissioned officers making decisions over how to respond, and how to provide aid, based on total supplies and the range of units.

This unit in particular provides a single, completely self sustained unit capable of making it's own decisions in the field. Water purifiers, tank units, howitzers, aircraft, and others are attached, and they can request fire by naval and aircraft vessels at a range if desired.

Brigade- 4,200+
Leader- Brigadier General

A brigade, comprises several Expeditionary units. Lead by a General.

Division- 12,600+
Leader- General

A unit, comprised of many brigades. A relatively large unit representing, usually, a major part of the theater of operations. Usually stationed to a particular area or task, these units are some of the larger forces that will be found, integrated by groups of 3, in the field.

Capable of being run by themselves, these units typically take their orders directly from higher commands and pass them down to lower units. Both strategic and tactical options are discussed at these levels, but it is generally left to the troops how to respond.

Being a large unit, it is one of the few units not otherwise directly connected to the military.
