Herenya was getting much less timid with being outside; as well as with the snow. Although the pampered Maneki Neko had been very unsure at first, she'd found that seeing new places fed her mind, gave her something to discuss with her human companion, and best of all it gave her her own kind to communicate with, to meet and spend time with.

She still didn't understand them very well; although she supposed that was natural. She'd spent so much of her life with her human, and he'd taught her a lot about what (she believed) human upper-class culture was really like but nothing of her own kind. To view other Maneki Neko with the same view as she'd been taught to think of humanity and human culture would, she felt, do nobody at all any credit.

Still, she enjoyed the company and the learning experience enough to venture out again into the snow. And, less cautious about the white enveloping the entire world, she decided to wander in a different direction, get a change of scenery, and find something new to feed her mind with- just in case she didn't meet any Maneki Neko to pose a sociological riddle for her. So she set off, ignoring the occasional half-hearted snowflake that landed on her as she wandered into areas she'd never encountered before, without any concern for the possibility of more snowfall or considering that she could get lost.
