Eve is a tall, stern lady with grey hair tied up in a bun. Her face is thin with worry wrinkles, and her cheekbones show, giving her a somewhat severe look. Her eyes are a hard grey, but can soften in the moments when she laughs. She wears white/grey dresses, occasionally a black veil on the anniversary of her husband's death.
Personality:
Eva Michitka strikes everybody that meets her as a strong, determined woman who has been through hell and come out as sharp as a tempered sword. She is well on her way to being described as an 'old battleaxe'. She doesn't keep to herself- in fact, during her stay in Sunderland, she has made some good friends. Nor is she particularly social. She tends to be centered around her family, letting in a few others into her life.
She is somewhat impulsive and trusting. Perhaps the same hellish journey that strengthened her and her family's resolve has also made her trusting of people, because she tends to take everybody at their word, even and especially her own children. This has led to some... issues... That involved her being cheated and her eldest son having to solve the issue with judicious glaring and growling.
In short, Eva is a strong woman who trusts too easily.

Eva came through the long journey with something to prove: that she, old lady though she was, could start a new life for herself and her family in the south. This is something she wants to do with her own two hands, but she can't do it without the help of her family.
The stress is starting to get to her, but she maintains a stoic, stern demeanor.
