Rochelle always thought that being labelled 'atypical' would mean that a dragon needed quite a bit of sleep, bottles and bottles of oil, along with bucket fulls of meat all of the time. Statistically speaking, two out of three wasn't all that bad, really, but she'd be much more pleased with life in general if the one she guessed incorrectly on had been the meat portion. No, instead Kibeth wanted to go off ad explore the world despite the fact she continuously became tired about a third of the way through their adventures; she'd grown too heavy for Rochelle to even attempt to carry. It ended with them sitting down for long periods of time until she recovered, Rochelle utterly bored until she learned to bring her little journal with her.

Her handwriting sucked. Most of the words were unkind things. But, shards, she was learning and getting better, more loopy than it was wherrie scratch.

That day was no different; Kibeth dragged her off to follow an interesting looking bug, super excited and her tail in the air. Rochelle followed, grumbling with just enough time to grab her own bag and book to jog after her. The crimson became tired out in a rather wide space, prompting the glasscrafter to flop down next to her.

You are boring, Kibeth informed her lazily, stretched out on the ground with her small stomach round and the tip of her tail flicking in the air. And much too quiet.

"Yes, well, you're annoying."

Such wit. Rochelle grumbled and hunched her shoulder. She edged closer anyway, leg pressing against her hide. For that, I am talking to the first dragon we see.

Wen missed practice, while he could no longer sprawl with his guard brothers he could still draw and shoot his bow and practice with his throwing knives. He finally had time and Rynsemth could easily travel with him to the spot he had chosen. The small black was calm and reserved with his energy and Wen would admit he was short; Rynsemth didn't need to stretch or expend extra energy to keep up with him.

He decided to bring Kris along, the pale green flit curled around his neck and Cat, true to form chattered as he followed them out of the weyrling barracks. Wen paused, blinking slowly taking in the young woman and Rynsemth's crimson clutch sister. "Hello," he said quietly.

Rynsemth snorted, eyes whirling slightly orange at his time alone with his bonded was ruined. he muttered, greeting his sibling politely, eyes settling back to calm blue green.

See, I didn't even have to talk first. Kibeth murmured to Rochelle before she turned to the small black. Hello, Rynsemth. You saved me the bother of harassing others in order for her to socialize more outside of her brain. She chirped a greeting, her own eyes a sedate blue, uncaring if he had himself a bit of orange or red anywhere in there. Have you taken your rider for a walk?

He's not a dog. Rochelle reminded her bondmate. All the comment got her was a mental snort from the small, sprawled crimson dragon. Passing off Kibeth's attitude for her typical personality of bullheadedness and snark, the glasscrafter waved towards her fellow weyrling. She knew his face as much as she knew him a weyrling, heard his name, vaguely his face. If she were a more honest girl (and she liked to think herself to be) Rochelle would admit that she didn't pay much attention to those not in her little circle. A shame, yes, but with Kibeth pushing at her to talk to people and didn't exist in her little circle.

She eyed him up and grinned, giving the young man a little sharp salute. "W-something, right? I'm crap with names. What's up?"

Rynsemth replied, annoyed. He settled down, resting as his rider talked to Kibeths.

"Wen." He was drawling a blank at the other's name as well but let it be at the moment. She hung out with the two young men that had impressed Rynsemth blue siblings. "I had some free time for archery practice," which should be a bit obvious considering the pair of bows and quiver. Yet, Jemi likely would box his ears and grumble it was polite. "You can come if you care to. I could possibly lend you my short bow, if the draw isn't far off." He paused. "The throwing knives are likely a better fit."

If you have a problem with my voice, brother, come over here and let me introduce you to my teeth. Kibeth drawled. Her little claws flexed to dig into the ground in slow, shallow graves. No red or orange flared in her eyes, voice nothing but low and amused. They too are a part of my vocal cords and very near to my brain. Chomp chomp.

She snapped her jaws twice in order to prove her point. Behind her, the tip of her tail flicked and Kibeth stretched out once again. Being a delicate little snowflake, she refused to comment on her waistline, though her muzzle parted a bit to hiss just slightly. I don't believe my rider knows how to use a stick to shoot other sticks.

"I'm better with knives," Rochelle admitted after a moment. "Probably. Not a crack shot with anything, really, I make glass. You aren't worried about him getting tired?"

Rynsemth opened his mouth in a wide and pointed yawn. Kibeth wasn't worth his silver tongue; she was worth being relaxingly blunt and snarky. Rynsemth huffed, fixing Rochelle a firm glare.

'You acknowledge your limits' Wen corrected, amused bleeding in his mental voice. "Not overly so. Rynsemth harbors his strength and has a grasp of how far he can walk without tiring." He reached back and under his leather jacket, curled his fingers around the loops of the throwing knives sheaves and slipped them to the front so he could undo the clasps. "They are centered weighted."
