Robert exited the Pokémon Center with a lazy flick of his wrist, opening the door with ease and stepping out into the harsh sunlight. His long black cloak billowed about in a sudden breeze, also kicking up the scarf tied around his neck. Many people questioned his attire, wondering how he walked around so warmly even in Summer. But he would just laugh, and reply that it was what he was used to, and there was nothing that could change him. Beside him stood his most loyal Pokémon, Lucario, paws behind his head as he looked up at Robert questioningly. 'Master?' came Lucario's voice inside Robert's mind. 'Why have we stopped in this town? Should we be not looking for recruits?' Robert looked down at his friend and smiled, petting the bemused Pokémon on the head affectionately. "Don't worry, buddy. We've been traveling for so long, I figured it would be nice to take a break." Looking up at the large mountain that loomed high over Blackthorn, Robert sighed contently. It was good to be back in Johto after such a long absence, and while the reason he had given Lucario was true enough, Robert wanted to spend as much time in his own region as possible. 'The Life of a Pokémon Trainer is tough.' thought Robert, putting his hands in his pockets. With a nod of his head to Lucario, the two began walking at a brisk pace, their destination the Dragon's Den.

As Robert was walking, the sound of footsteps seemed to mimic behind his. That was until it stopped and whispered " The world shall burn to it's core. Corrupted by the power it once controlled. ". The voice then began to move closer as it continued to whisper the same two sentences over and over.

After walking a bit, Lucario's ears pricked up, and he closed his eyes, as if in deep thought. Robert noticed this, and looked at the Pokémon questioningly, stopping at the edge of the water that took them towards the entrance of the Dragon's Den. "What's a mater, bud?" asked Robert. Soon, Lucario turned around, looking back the way they had come, and started growling, hackles on the back of his neck raised. Robert looked up to where Lucario was and glared, seeing a man slowly walking towards them, muttering something under his breath. "Hey!" he called out, placing a hand on one of the Pokéballs attached to his belt. "What do you want?" Robert knew something was up, as Lucario only acted this way when there was trouble. 'Guess I'll see soon enough.....' he thought grimly, keeping his eyes on the approaching man.

Enel stopped as the man turned to question him and used the bridge of his index finger to scratch under his nose as if he had the sniffles. " Who me? " he said avoiding the question. His head turned side to side looking for other people that the guy could be talking to before he turned back to him. " Oh, you were talking to me? " he said as his voice deepened in an odd manner. " I am the Destroyer of this c**k-roach infested world. Or am I ? It all depends on what time of the year you ask me? " he said as his voice slowly returned to it's alternate tone. Now noticing that the guy's hand was on a Pokeball, Enel quickly unlatched one of his own. " Were you about to attack me? And what's with that Standing Dog you have? Shouldn't it be on a leash or something? "

The man's response puzzled Robert to no end. First he had seemed timid and confused. Then, like the flip of a switch, he had become some sort of harbinger of evil. Listening to his words carefully, his grip only tightened around the Pokéball in his hand, unlatching it from the holster on his belt. 'Be careful, Master....' said Lucario in his mind, continuing to growl at the man. "The Destroyer, huh? Sounds to me like someone has an over-inflated Ego. As for attacking you, no, I wasn't planning on it. It was more of a reflex, for when malevolent auras such as yours come into my vicinity." Robert hadn't noticed until now, but the man did have a very evil aura. Lucario had taught him to sense aura to a certain degree, but he was nowhere near as good as the Pokémon. Regardless, it didn't matter at this point. Seeing the man draw out on of his own Pokéballs made Robert nervous, and he eyed it suspiciously. "Who are you? Why are you here?" he asked, voice echoing around the deserted area. He wasn't afraid of the man, but merely cautious. His Pokémon wouldn't sense such a dark aura and be so hostile if there wasn't danger, and Robert picked up on it well.

" Ahhh, Very well then. My name is E, and I am here to remind the Pokemon World..... " he began as he placed the Pokeball back onto his belt. A smile seemed to spread across his face, one that carried a more sinister characteristic than his previous as he removed a Purple and Pink Ball from his belt. Now pressing the release button, a dark aura began to ooze and leak out, forming a puddle of dark energy around his feet. The energy then began to quiver as it started to rise and take shape of a massive Pokemon, lifting E into the air. " ... that peace will finally come to an end. " he finished as the energy solidified, causing a massive explosion of smoke. And through the smoke was the laughter of E. " Meet The Legendary Kyurem " he shouted as the smoke finally dispersed, revealing Kyurem with E on top of it's back.

Robert's eyes widened as he stared at the huge beast towering before him. An icy wind bit into his very soul upon looking at the beast, as if the warm clothes he wore were a joke before the Legendary Pokémon. However, he wasn't about to let a legend scare him. Replacing the Pokéball he held upon his waist, he instead nodded to Lucario, who leaped out onto the battlefield with a harsh cry. "E! You talk of taking peace from this world!" called out Robert to the man standing atop Kyurem. "Unfortunately, I have some bad news. As a Pokémon Trainer, it is my duty to stop you, here and now! Let's go, Lucario! Aura Sphere!" Before the mighty creature, Lucario looks small and feeble in comparison. But looks in this case were certainly deceiving, as the Pokémon clasped it's paws, palms together, next to it's body. A small blue orb of Aura began gathering there, and in the blink of an eye, expanded to a large size. With another battle cry, Lucario launched the Sphere towards Kyurem, aiming for it's chest with pinpoint accuracy. This particular attack was different from most Pokémon moves, as it honed in upon the natural Aura that every living being had. Lucario, being a master of Aura sensing, is able to lock on to this Aura when firing an Aura Sphere, making the move deadly with it's accuracy. If this move were to land on Kyurem, it most certainly would cause exponential damage, as Lucario was no pushover. E would be sorely mistaken to underestimate the power of Robert's Pokémon.

E's eyes widened as Lucario shot an Aura sphere towards Kyurem. It wasn't everyday that E protected a Pokemon, not even his own but Kyurem was a different story." What are you stupid?!?! " he shouted as he jumped off of Kyurem and into the way of the sphere, taking the hit instead. He was then sent flying into Kyurem as a result of the blast. However, despite being in pain E picked himself back up. " I don't think you understand what you alm- " he began to say before Kyurem released a massive roar, causing him to cover his ears. It then began to glow a blinding white energy before it vanished into thin air, only leaving behind the Master Ball it was caught with. " Well I'll be damned, it was able to free itself. Which means I won't rule the world anytime soon." he said as he began to sulk and kick tiny rocks that laid by his feet.

Needless to say, Robert was extremely confused as to what just happened. Piecing together what he could of the situation, his only guess would have to be that when E was hit with the Aura Sphere, his connection that was controlling Kyurem was severed, allowing the Pokémon to escape. Shaking his head slightly at the sudden turn of events, Robert called back Lucario and walked over to E, hesitantly putting a hand on his shoulder. "I think you're in the wrong line of work....." he told E with a slight smile. "Dominating the world is a task too big for most people, and your personality, I feel, isn't cut out for it." Turning around, he began walking away, Lucario following closely behind. Before he headed out of sight, Robert turned his head over his shoulder, and called to E, "If our paths cross again, and I find out you're still pursuing this goal of yours.....
I will stop you"
With that, Robert and Lucario walked around a corner, disappearing into the Heart of Blackthorn City, away from E and his madness.

E continued to sulk until the man had disappeared from sight." That's where you are young. If I can control Kyurem even a little bit, this proves that there is room for improvement. And when the time comes, the World shall burn under my feet. " he said as he began to laugh maniacally even though he knew no one was there to hear it.
