The snow wasn't yet an inch thick on the ground; but Herenya had never been out in snow at all. The soft white coating the pavement, the roads, the rooves of houses and the branches of trees, had looked beautiful to her whilst inside; pure and sparkling, dense and rich. It made the entire world look completely different and entrancing, and she'd resolved to head out into it, to experience it.
Her human hadn't tried to dissuade her; only telling her not to stay out if she grew cold. She'd mostly ignored him; but now she was starting to wonder if she shouldn't have paid more attention to his words and reconsidered the entire plan of walking through the snow to the park. She had wanted to see the grass, the trees, everything covered in this fascinating white.
She hadn't anticipated just how cold it would make her paws. She let out a miserable tiny mew, but her ears pricked up as she saw the park; there were always people there, always enjoying the place, and perhaps they'd have something warmer to sit on so she could clean her paws and enjoy the snowy world around her without the biting chill penetrating her paw pads. She picked her pace up, trotting into the park. The additional speed helped keep her warm more than she anticipated, and when she rounded the corner and saw the almost unrecognisable white scene before her, she was warm and energised enough to feel far less sad- and far more appreciative of what she saw.

Winter was the best time of year for this strange and wild cat. Even though he had a wonderful human that loved to play with him, he was just all about exploring the world around him and right now it was all white. He ran out the door but paused just outside and looked back as if he was letting her know that he's be back later. After a gentle nod from his human he took off for the park.
All the way there he would bound and leap into snow piles cause white powder to fly every which way. Some laughed and others yelled but it did not bother him or cause him to detour from his path. Soon the park was in view and he ran for the tallest tree he could spot. Egg Nog jumped up into the tree and walked out to the edge of the limb and jumped straight into a Pile of white snow. He mewed and purred as he rolled around in the cold wet snow. Although one mistake would have been that he didn't see the beautiful lady standing not to far from where he had jumped.

Herenya walked slowly into the park; her green eyes taking in the snowy expanse before her. Here and there grass peeked through, and of course only the tops of trees, bushes, railings were covered; but it seemed to Herenya that the landscape had been transformed from the lively park to something hushed, quiet, and peaceful. That sense of awe-inspiring beauty that she had had upon first looking out of the window returned full-force.
Herenya was grateful for her solitude whilst it lasted; for as she stepped carefully and cautiously forwards, both the peace and the sense of being alone in a silent world was broken. She had not seen the male climb the nearby tree; but she couldn't fail to notice him fall into the snowdrift with apparent glee. She froze in shock as globules of soft fluffy ice crystal were sent flying, a few hitting her; the largest in her shoulder, smaller ones in her face and flank.
Her shock didn't last long; her ears, which had been tilted eagerly forwards to catch the muffled sounds around her, pinned backwards at this display of poor ettiquette and she huffed as she turned around and started vigorously cleaning her shoulder and leg, dislodging any bits of snow still clinging, glistening, to her fur.

Egg Nog was laying flat on his back when he looked over to notice the beautiful feline who was now speckled with white fluff. She didn't appear very happy and was cleaning herself, which seemed to make Egg Nog giggle slightly. The reason being is that any cat outside in the snow is going to get snow on them at some point. He himself learned that the hard way when he was first outside and his humans children started throwing balls of snow around and one had hit him. He .wasn't happy either and they only laughed but he was sure to get them back. That was when he learned to love the soft snow.
He rolled over, got up and walked over to the female slowly as he could tell she was upset. His red eyes gazed at her with an apologetic gleam ion them. He did not mean to hit her with snow.
"I'm sorry Miss, I did not see you there. I hope your alright?" He spoke to her softly.

Herenya was not initially inclined to speak to the male; he had offended her, and she was determined to leave it to him to make it up to her. Despite this, she was paying attention when he approached her; her ears swinging towards him, and her eyes looked briefly in his direction; but she refused to stop her cleaning until he spoke.
His words did a lot to soothe her, however. It seemed properly apologetic and right; without arrogance or impropriety. She shook herself to dislodge any bits of snow still clinging to her fur to give herself another moment before responding.
"I was taken aback, but not hurt," she finally said; her voice smooth, even, and subtle. "But thank you for your apology." She quickly rearranged her fur; no longer determined to avoid his attention, she now wanted to ensure she was presentable and did so in as short a time as possible. If he had the good manners he seemed to, she didn't want to look like some ungroomed and helpless stray. Once contented she sat neatly down, her long tail tucked around her paws. "My name is Herenya", she said, by way of introduction. "Might I know yours?"
