Like the title says, I've been thinking about a new RP for a while. And since this guild is where my last Pokemon RP had the most success, I think I may open it up here if there's enough interest.

Okay, so the story will take place in the past. Like, before Pokemon were even captured with Apricorns. (I'm thinking about allowing for it to be discovered like halfway through the story...) Anyway, there are 6 (I'm considering more, but for now, 6) special swords crafted in ancient time. These swords have a slot where orbs are inserted. The orbs can grant the wielder of the blade the power of Legendary Pokemon. But only after they have formed a pact with that Legendary Pokemon. They would also be able to summon the Pokemon to assist them in battle. (After proving they are worthy in some way)

So, an evil man acquires one of the swords and starts to take over the world with the help of his army and he'd have maybe two or three of the Legendary Pokemon on his side already. A certain King learns of this, and finds out the evil man is going to be taking over his Kingdom soon. The man is unaware that the King has one of the blades as well (Along with one Orb). So the King assigns one of his best men and a small troop to go out and make pacts with more Legendary Pokemon. Or maybe his daughter volunteers or something.. I'm not sure which scenario I like better.

Anyway, the idea of the RP would be to form a party and get more Orbs and Swords so they can do battle with the Evil man and take back the stolen Kingdoms. And restore order to the world. Or something along those lines.. Anyone like the sound of it? Too confusing? Talk to me people.

lol Valid points. That's why it is up for discussion. I don't like the idea of having too many swords.. it becomes less unique.. we could scrap the swords altogether and just have the orbs.. they could go into armor or weaponry..

The story was going to begin on that day. When the King gets wind of the oncoming doom. And I wouldn't have a problem with people choosing sides.. I think scrapping the swords would open up for a more diverse cast of characters too.. especially, in the weapons department.

The plot should develop as we progress.. though we are on the brainstroming phase and any ideas are welcome for improving the story.

Yessir. They don't really have any Pokemon (Yet), except maybe one or two they have befriended on their own. Or maybe, a Rapidash they mount.. or something.. Besides that, they have no powers. Until they make a pact with a Legendary Pokemon. Then they would be able to use Ice abilities if they have Articuno or Fire if they have Entei. And when really in a bind they can summon the Legend to come to their aid. But the Pokemon would act on it's own, and would not be taking orders from the humans.. Although, some Legendaries are pretty humble, so they might.. like Jirachi and Mew. At least, I would believe them to be. lol

Certain Legendaries would also grant flight, or mind reading abilities, along side offensive powers. And they could even have adverse efffects, like their weaknesses. Or I was thinking something like, the person who would have Mesprit would develop mood swings and become alot more empathic or just really emotional in general.. These are just examples.. If I've made any sense. lol

The protagonists would be traveling the Pokemon world. So it would be all over the place. With plenty of time skips so it doesn't drag on forever. lol I'm thinking most of the world is already taken over by "evil dude" so they have to keep a low profile since his NPC troops are all over the place.

If anyone has player characters for the villain's side, then they could be assigned to pursue the protagonist's party. Among conquering villages and other evil duties of the sort.

And somebody has to have a frickin' Chansey befriended so they could heal. lol I jest.. sort of.. lol Another problem I foresee is people fighting over, or being bummed over a legendary already in another character's posession.. Maybe lesser Legends can share the pact with everyone? Hmm... What do you guys think?
