User ImageName: Elizabeth Fletcher
Nickname: Liz, Lizzy (by Nicholas only)
Gender: Female
Age: 26
Birthday: Early winter
Birthplace: Oldcastle, Sunderland
Parents: Michael and Mary Bexley
Siblings: None
Spouse: Nicholas Fletcher
Children: None

Religion: She is a very firm believer of the Old Ways.
Orientation: Heterosexual
Occupation: Wife, hedge witch, gardener. Her herbs go to Nicholas for medicinal uses, and her vegetables end up on her table, or as gifts to friends and neighbors.
Hedgecraft: Her abilities in hedgecraft help make her garden blossom earlier in spring, and keep it greener for longer in fall and early winter. It also makes her herbs flourish and become more potent. It helps her vegetables in a similar way, although not quite as much.
Location: Oldcastle, Sunderland
Residence: A decently sized one-floor cottage in the outskirts of Oldcastle, near the Wardwood. Front door opens up into a hall, with a small room near the front for Nicholas to see and take care of his patients, a large living space on the opposite side, one bedroom and a kitchen. A small barn has recently been erected close to the cottage, complete with a large fence around it, and houses one horse and a small carriage. Behind the house (yay for back doors!) and near the barn is Elizabeth's sizable garden, which is enclosed in stone walls.

Height: 5'4"
Hair: Reddish brown. Long, wavy, and is usually at least partially braided.
Eyes: Olive green
Build: Trim and slender. She doesn't need muscles; her husband does heavy lifting for her and takes care of the horse.
Clothing: Strictly wears dresses in mostly shades of greens, sometimes browns or blues, as in her opinion they are all earthly colors.

Personality: Elizabeth is a little eccentric, and very particular about things. Her appearance, for one. She's rather vain, always wanting the best clothes and jewelry (though she tries not to ask for it too often), and spends a lot of time on her hair. Even if they're in one of the lower social classes, that doesn't mean she can't look and dress and act like she's in a higher class, especially if they have the money to do so.

She absolutely loves her garden, and considers it an absolutely quintessential part of herself. She's spent a great deal of time arranging and cultivating it from the plot of nothing that it was when they moved there, and it is incredibly important in multiple ways - it provides medicinal herbs for her husband, and food for the both of them. Elizabeth wouldn't have any idea what to do if she didn't have her garden.

Apart from that, she's friendly and kind to others, especially children (of which she has none, though she would love to change that someday) and frequently gives extra vegetables to friends and neighbors who may not have quite as much as she does.

Despite her arranged marriage, Elizabeth adores Nicholas, and dotes on him constantly (and also asks for presents). She loves him dearly, but that doesn't mean she's in love with him. That also doesn't mean she goes searching for anyone else to be in love with - indeed, such a thought has never crossed her mind before - it just means she loves him as much as one can love a husband that was chosen for one.

History: Born to two hedge witches in southern Oldcastle, Elizabeth was taught the finer points of gardening from a very young age. She was instructed in all the Old Ways, all of the beliefs and customs, and most importantly, what it meant to be a hedge witch. Her parents fully believed that since they were both hedge witches, their daughter definitely would be, and eagerly began grooming her for the task. They were ecstatic when she began showing signs of magic at around 7 years old.

Not a whole lot happened after that until one day, when she was around 20 years old, she left the house for a while and when she came back, her parents were absolutely delighted (and relieved) to find a rabbit following after her quite happily. Elizabeth had found herself a familiar (finally, in their opinions. They were starting to think she'd never get one.)

When she was 22, she suddenly found herself betrothed and shortly thereafter married to an aspiring doctor in one summer, and moved into his home in Oldcastle near the Wardwood. While such a thing was completely unexpected, it wasn't unwanted (it helped that she'd seen him around and really liked him anyway), and it gave her a chance to start her own garden somewhere new. She's been with Nicholas for four and a half years now, and has been increasingly happier with every passing year.

User ImageName: Winston
Gender: Male
Species: Rabbit
Age: 7+
Birthday: Unknown

Magic: Winston causes Elizabeth's already flourishing garden to flourish even more, especially the medicinal herbs. With Elizabeth and her familiar around, Nicholas's patients heal just a little bit faster than they would otherwise, but not much - their magic centers mostly on growing, not healing.

Abilities: He has long since learned to differentiate all the different types of plants in Elizabeth's garden, and it's his job to weed it and to help pick the herbs or vegetables she indicates.

Personality: Winston is quiet, like most rabbits, and loves two things: Elizabeth, and working in her garden. He spends almost his entire day working in it, rain or sun, and when he's not, he's curled up in her lap like a cat or resting nearby. He likes Nicholas alright, but he loves his Elizabeth. He's friendly to other rabbits, as well as guardians and rooks, but less so to cats and other various animals, although he is by no means a coward and shows a lot more bravery than most prey animals. He's actually chased off a grimalkin or two that tried to make a mess of the garden, in his time, and he isn't afraid to do so again. Winston is brave, but not foolish - he knows when to attack, and when it's best to retreat and call for Elizabeth's or Nicholas's aid.

He's friendly enough to new people, although wary - especially with young children (who have a bad habit of pulling on ears), although he can be lured out with offers of food or gentle pettings. He's a little attention whore at heart, really.

Oh, and he hates snow. A lot.

History: Elizabeth was wandering around the edges of the Wardwood one day, six years ago, when she came across a rabbit. Said rabbit watched her very curiously and cautiously, but did not flee. He approached the young woman and sniffed at her hands, at the basket she carried, and its contents, and that was all he needed to do. Elizabeth suddenly found herself being followed by the young rabbit, and at the end of her excursion she returned home, and the rabbit still followed. Her mother immediately announced he was her new familiar, and suggested a slew of names - all of which were cutesy or the names of items, and all of them made the rabbit wrinkle his little nose. Elizabeth declared rather quickly that her familiar would be named Winston. It was proper and dignified, after all, and such a handsome looking rabbit deserved no less. Winston immediately agreed, and has been with Elizabeth ever since.

He didn't like being moved away from her home, though, but over the past four years he's gotten used to living with Nicholas too.
