Age: 26
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual, strongly prefers women.
Rank: Wherguard
Appearance: Mirta is tall and lithe. Her skin is standard for most any Pernese. Black of hair with rich brown eyes, Mirta cuts quite an attractive figure. That midnight hair is kept shorn and tends to curl about her face in a most beguiling fashion, lending her an impish appeal. A smattering of freckles across the bridge of her nose only adds to her becoming features, and her easy smile doesn't hurt things, either. As for her figure, Mirta stands at a leggy 5'9" - she has no bewitching curves to speak of. This Wherhandler is small up top and just as boyish below. Despite her height and slender frame, Mirta is considered quite, quite lovely by most that know her.
How many Turns old were they when they Impressed? 12
Personality:
Mirta is a friend to anyone that crossed her path. She's always willing to offer a helping hand to those in need because she likes to believe that you do unto others as you would like done to you - and so if she is friendly, perhaps others might riciprocate the kindness. If this is an ulterior motive, well, so be it - but when she acts upon her friendliness, it is always with the purest of motives - at first. She has been known to call on someone for a favor because of a kindness she's done in the past - but this does not happen with any sort of reliable frequency. Friends are better than enemies, and Mirta holds strong to that belief. Because of this, Mirta does her best to try and see the best in others, which oftentimes means she overlooks more unappealing traits in others - stupidity, laziness and a strong lack of creativity are among Mirta's list of most overlooked traits.
Mirta cannot hold a grudge. She might try to, but it never lasts long, and soon enough Mirta is laughing once more with anyone she might've been furious at. This virtue extends to minor slights only - should anyone do her a grievous error, Mirta will not forgive so easily. And rest assured, Mirta will never forget - and there might be future arguements where any past slights might be brought to the forefront - but only if she is feeling particularly threatened or cornered. Mirta also has an amazing knack for recalling unjusts done to someone else - and should someone give any of her friends a verbal beatdown and Mirta is near, she will not hesitate to dredge up past altercations if she feels the situation calls for it - which she usually does.
Mirta, while being friendly, is also exceedingly selfish. She does not like to share things that she has. She does not like to pay for things for other people, or share her food or her things. Mirta does not have a hoarding problem, but everything she's amassed has been due to her own hard work and industriousness. What's hers is hers, and whats yours is yours - unless it is more spectacular than hers, and then she will want to have it - or something better. Mirta is not a jealous woman, but she works hard and feels as if she deserves nothing but the best.
Mirta strongly fancies women, and though she is not the type to make forward, unwanted advances, Mirta is the type of woman to leap at any perceived notion of flirtation. This trait has potential to come off as being exceedingly negative and/or creepish should her advances be unwanted or unwarranted.
History: Mirta's father died while her mother was still pregnant with her. It is said that he was a hard-working, handsome and dedicated man who loved her mother very much, and the pair shared a relatively monogomous relationship. Mirta's mother passed giving birth to the dark-haired babe. The labor was strenuous and harsh, and by the end of it her mother (a woman named Lyn) was so exhausted that she could hardly deliver the girl. Swept up by infection and fever not long after Mirta's birth, the woman expired - but not before wrenching a promise from her sister. Because of this, she was brought up by her mother's sister Maeg and her husband, Garrol.
Maeg, a worker in the caverns, and Garrol, a miner, raised Mirta as their own child - something that came easy to the pair since they had never been able to have a child of their own. Mirta was allowed to run about as something of a wild child, but she was never a theif and she was never a liar. Neither of these horrid traits were allowed in the family, and Mirta grew up with strong sense of right and wrong.
When Mirta was freshly 12, Garrol died while hard at work. Heartbroken and without a will to live, Maeg followed soon after. Mirta was alone for the first time in her life, and soon after she found herself at a wher hatching where she was first to feed the bright green, dull-minded wher that is now called Mirtask. The two became the best of friends - or… Mirta fell in love with the wher at first sight, and Mirta feeds Mirtask on a very strict, regular schedule.
Not wanting to become a cavern worker or a miner like her uncle, Mirta set her sights high - now a member of the Wherguard, Mirta and green Mirtask have formed quite the reptuation among the guard. Quick and dextrous in the sky, Mirta and Mirtask have no issue in chasing down bandits or any other serious offenders they might come across in their duties.
