It is fun. When I write, I tend to use the Northern Hemisphere seasons, because it's cool to imagine July being all hot and December being cold.
I had to look up a reference in the Old Testament once, and I ended up reading most of the book of David before I realised that I was reading a Bible for fun. Then I was all "my goodness, I'm such a nerd..." But it was a good story. Whoever wrote the Old Testament down had a way with words...
