_________PERSONALITY ▪▫ Ryota has two very distinct personalities that are displayed appropriately to his current situation. When at work or in a group of friends, he is very sociable and tends to people needs in a very friendly manner. He's the guy in the group who knows how to have fun, but not come on too strong and annoy everyone around him. When he's alone however, whether it be in his room or simply walking down the street, he is very quiet and almost anti-sociable. He constantly has earbuds in his ear listening to a variety of music and losing himself in his thoughts. This does not make him ignorant of his surroundings, but he does tend to miss people trying to get his attention from afar.
_________BIOGRAPHY ▪▫ Ryota's life was not one of hardship or sorrow. It was quite normal and uneventful. He grew up as the eldest child out of three and went through the development of any normal child. He went to school, got a job, went to a higher institution of learning, and found a career path. He currently works for a bank as a teller while he continues his studies in medical school with hopes of becoming a psychiatrist.

What attracted him to SAO and the VRMMORPG genre was not the idea to escape the struggles and sorrow of his life, but to escape the dullness of his everyday life. He hated how he had become just another student trying to make a life for himself through years of studying and paying of school debts; he wanted something more. The idea of going into a different universe where the main point was to fight monsters, get stronger, and become renown interested Ryota and made him want a different life. He plans to use SAO as an escape from the dull and become the hero he has always wanted to become.
