This place was so dirty... so very dirty indeed. Did Palisade not have street washers? he could have sworn he had to step over quite a bit of litter and unrecognizable messes left on the sidewalk! how very gross indeed! The 'dignified' Russian was at least glad he hadn't tarnished his precious clothing from any of it yet... But he was weary now, glancing at the ground from time to time now, as well as the little fawn trotting alongside him. "Come along now, Ixton. Keep close." he urged, accent thick and heavy of his homeland.
The cream coated little fawn was more than pleased to follow his Chosen down the cobblestone, petite hooves clicking and clacking with each dainty step, skinny little legs lifting high, making him look quite adorable as his tiny body bounced slightly with the motion. Nubby tail flickered from time to time, head high like the human he was bound to, a rather cheery demeanor about him all in all; the complete opposite of the grumpy Matvei. Around the youngling's neck was a thick red silk bow, covering a good portion of his neck , and tying along the back. A small broach was nestled at the heart of the knotted bow, a family jewel that Matvei held dear. After all, his guardian had to look his best as well when out just like he did!
Teal eyes kept slightly lidded, and his nose was lifted high, dark wavy hair shielding most of his brow, making those bright eyes stand out against his fair complexion. The duke to be was bored... and had thought that maybe a walk would suffice to entertain him... but he was finding himself becoming more and more irritated by the second. He would glance at a few individuals that they would pass by, but not give them the time of day. Not even crack a smile. While Ixton, on the other hand, would beam at a few whose eyes lingered on him, and even puffed himself up a little more with pride, gaining some more pep in his steps!

It was . . . odd, for the author today. Today he planned on doing some of his work outside just for a change of scenery instead of being inside his home. The fresh air would be well for him and perhaps be inspired by . . . just something. Sadly for Calvin, it has been a while from his last publishing and he should get to work on at least writing down some sort of ideas that can be of use for the future which is what he intend to do. His bag and belongings where gathered together and the older male was looking through to see if he has everything with him. Everything but . . . . . the totem. "No . . . where did it go?!" It was highly unlikely that he took it out and placed it somewhere. He treated it like priceless treasure after all and now he somehow lost it.
It was nowhere in his home as he could have just flip his entire home upside down. With his bag swung over his shoulder, Calvin was going to search around the perimeter of his home to see if maybe it had slipped out. And then . . . he saw a tiny fawn, munching on the green shrub leaves just outside of his home. The older male has never seen it before but it felt as though he did. The markings are familiar seeing the swirl pattern on his hind legs and around the eyes as well as the coloring too. His chartreuse eyes were focus in study for a mere moment until . . . "Iapetus . . ." The fawn lift his head up from the ground and looked over to see the tall male with strawberry blonde hair and quickly trotted over to his side. It made the man smile at the reaction as it seemed that the little fawn was really happy to see him and pets his head gently. "You had me worried for a moment . . . don't leave my side, okay?" All that the little fawn did was nuzzling his face along his leg as they head out.
The day seemed to be rather calm. It was nice to see that. A content smile was seen on his face as he listened to the gentle trotting of Iapetus along his side. He looks down from time to time to see him; observing how skitterish he is and shy with the public people. It's easy to understand since it's all so new to him but the author hopes that within time he will be okay. However, when he had glanced down once again, he noticed that he was walking a little off to one direction which made him stop. "What's wrong?" He asked. Bright chartreuse eyes looked up to see that Iapetus was looking at another fawn who has a bright red bow tied around his neck; trotting along ever so happily. It made the little fawn happy to see that there's another Guardian around his age as he slowly made his way up to greet him with Calvin behind to greet the young man who was with the cream colored fawn.
From his observation, he could see that the man was high up in society. Quite possibly holding a title as well seeing the decorated jewelry and rich jewel toned clothes. And so Calvin kept his manners as he gave a simple bow of his head to greet him. "My apologizes, it seemed that my young friend would like to befriend with yours." It was rather adorable actually. "How do you do sir. My name is Calvin Grey and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Such a boring town, with boring people... a disgruntled and displeased Matvei grumbled in his mind. His eyes were slowly narrowing into a displeased sort of glare now... cold, and uninviting by default. How long would he have to stay with his dreaded family out here? They were just as boring as his family back home. Cold, distant, lacking any sort of affection or love, or concern for a boy his age. He was a man, regardless of age, and was to act and be treated like one. Responsibility's upon responsibility's piled up, learning the family trades, and duties... schooling upon schooling, constantly without breaks. It was a miracle he'd managed to get a break from his many teachers!
A nice woman selling flowers and other herbs from a little stall nearby spared the boy a sweet smile, but he gave it not means of approval, narrowing his eyes even sharper to show that such niceties were not desired, nor accepted. The woman looked a little taken aback by the boys chilly stare, and watched as he and his little companion passed by.
Ixton, though, had gotten a tiny bit distracted by the sight and scent of the flora, sniffing towards the woman fervently, nostrils flared to inhale the yummy aroma's. Almost about to turn and try to snatch some for himself, his ears suddenly flipped up, and he went into an alert sort of state. Blinking, he looked around, before he locked onto what the source had been that'd grabbed his attention... another fawn. Staring at the stranger, his tail flicked upright, and he puffed up a bit more, fluffy tail quivering with contained excitement when he saw that the other fawn was coming his way! Matvei noticed the opposing creature too, and frowned at it. Another one..? Well... his was still better. Much more handsome, and cute. He would have snubbed the other fawn had it not been for how happy Ixton seemed to be and... that he was now engaged with conversation from the small guardian's keeper.
Looking up with that blank, emotionless stare, Matvei showed no sigh of warmth even when Calvin was so kind as to extend courtesy's. He looked the other man up and down thoroughly, clearly judging him upon first impressions, taking his sweet time to meet his gaze. But the name... had caught his attention, a dark brow quirking... He knew that name... What from... Glancing back down to the two fawns, Matvei replied in a snide manner, " So it seems." was all he said. Ixton was more than delighted to meet the other fawn, instantly sniffing at little Iapetus, gathering his scent, and trotting around to inspect him. His tail never ceased wiggling, nosing at the others neck playfully, before giving a lick to his ear, expressing his excitement to meet the other!

This young man . . . is quite rude. He felt those teal eyes examining him up and down and Calvin didn’t like to be examined as such especially seeing those eyes lacking any light to them. In any other situation, the author doesn’t want to deal with that sort of person at all for he doesn’t want to be disrespected. And right before he actually knew a little about the young man as well. But, he saw how Iapetus was with the other little fawn as he is being examined at first too but it didn’t bothered him at all seeing his fluffy tail wiggling about to see another Guardian at his age too. He sniffed the little white fawn as well and jumped a bit when Ixton playfully pressed his nose against his neck for he never had any sort of interaction like that before but he was still happy as he gave the same action to him and wanting to play. Calvin couldn’t do that to him at all since he is a skittish little fawn and needs the interaction to get out of his shell.
He turned to see the young man, who has yet to introduce himself, and gives a content smile on his face. “I haven’t seen you before here in Palisade. Are you perhaps travelling or seeing a relative?” Calvin is a social man who attends to parties and events and knows almost all the socialites here. It was the only solution he could think of. “Maybe I could show you around the city if you wish of course.” He extends a polite offer to help the young male while deep down the author would hate it. But hearing the light hooves trotting to their sides is what making him push to spend a little more time with him.

Watching the antic's of his little companion, Matvei held a raised brow in curiosity. His fawn was always so excited about things... meeting others, going new places, eating new foods, seeing new things. Quite easy to please. But it was that simplicity that bemused the foreign boy to no end. It was almost... satisfying to see that his guardian could he happy in just about any given situation. Even being cooped up in a boring town like this one... with stuffy relatives. In truth, the boy almost envied his companion.
Ixton flicked his ears up from the other buck's reaction, but just went back to playfully investigating him, thrilled to receive the same sort of gesture! tiny hooves clicked on the ground as he gave a little hop in place, before nuzzling all against Iapetus' face, and licking his ear rather fervently, before pausing to look and see what reaction he got this time! It was quite entertaining, to say in the least, and his big bow bounced lightly with his sharp movements. A teal gaze slid up to the older man, face flat, and eyes sharp when he was spoken to. Well... at least the man had some manners... though how spot on he was about guessing his reason for being in town had him glare a little harder. A spy...? his family was rich and important... it'd only make sense. And then an invitation to town? Was he going to get kidnapped or killed? Hmph. Like he'd let that happen. He'd take care of this deceitful man.
Lifting his head proudly, almost puffing himself up, Matvei replied, though his accent was quite heavy, "I will allow you to show me only to places of entertainment. I have seen most of this place. I have yet to be impressed by it."
