Our President has been given 8 years. Let's see if he can keep his promises. Afterall, he did say that he would need '4 more years'.
Here's what I think the Republican's platform should be/what we should do to win the White House in 2016.
1. Emphasize the failure of the current administration and how the Democratic party is corrupt. This is similar like what Romney tried to do, but on a much larger scale.
2. Emphasize Personal and Economic freedoms.
3. SPEND LESS. TAX LESS. Decrease corporate tax to about 20 or 25%. Close loopholes for the rich. Decrease taxes on everyone. Massive spending cuts.
4. Audit and End the Federal Reserve.
5. MAJOR tax reform. Including turning out the lights at the IRS.
6. End the war on drugs.
7. Scale back our participation in the UN.
8. AFFORDABLE, MARKET BASED Health Care.
9. Repeal ObamaCare.
10. End the Wars. For Real.
11. Implement a Balance Budget Amendment, so America will never have to deal with a Congress who hasn't even passed a single budget in 4 years (possibly more), also including Forfeiting paycheck if they fail to comply.
12. Repeal NDAA.
13. Emphasize NAFTA.
14. End unnecessary and overlapping departments.
15. Let Education go to the States and/or the people (school-choice).
16. Cut subsidies to companies like PBS. (Romney was right).
17. Peace through Strength and Prosperity. Advocate Non-Interventionism.
18. Ban Corporate Welfare.
19. Energy independency.
20. Approve KeyStone Pipeline!
21. Emphasize Personal Responsibility
Unfortunately, That's all I can think of right now.

I think you've pretty much got it here. The one thing I'd change is instead of reducing the corporate tax, abolish it entirely. After all, corporations don't really pay taxes, they just embed them in their products and services.
