Corben had snuck away from the house again, but this time, not to go into town. Town was boring. He wanted to see more plants, ones that didn't grow at home. So with his trusty backpack of supplies, he had hiked his way across his father's land, and ended up in a sort of nature reserve. At least he assumed so, since there was a legit trail there, and he knew there weren't any trails on his dad's land.
Pleased with his discovery, he followed the trail up for awhile until he discovered a small picnicking area, complete with tables. His stomach growled at that exact moment, so he decided to take a break. He marched on over to one of the tables and then set his pack down on it, then got out his lunch, and sat down to eat.

Blaine sat up in the tree looking into space, drained from the voice in his head. Lately it had been popping even more in his head, the voice becoming more clear and different that he was beginning to think that it really wasn't his own. He didn't want it there and wanted it out. It had been wanting him to do things he didn't want to do, bad things. Blaine didn't wanted to do anything bad or cause people harm. All he wanted was peace and happiness but it seemed as if fate didn't want that for him. So far the only good thing that had happened to him was meeting Ana but many bad thoughts of her getting hurt went crazy in his mind. Not wanting anything to happen to her, he had begun to avoid her.
As he tried to get rid of all the negative thoughts his stomach began to growl. Blaine groaned as he held his stomach. It had been some time since he had eaten but he had no food so he had to do the next best thing, sun bathe. Carefully he crawled down the tree to make his way to the most sunniest spot there was and so far it was near the picnic area. Seeing someone there he hesitated a bit but decided to pick a spot that was further away. He kept an eye on the other boy as he took off his heavy coat, scarf, and rolled up his sleeves. He was a little scared that the other would come closer and accidentally touch him but Blaine was starving at this point so he had no choice. Taking a big gulp, Blaine closed his eyes as he tried to focus on gathering food from the sun's light.

Blake had also happened to wander to the same clearing as the other two boys. He'd asked Crow to take him there so he could spend some time outside enjoying the fresh air and trees without being on the campus. He'd run into some trouble lately with one of the kids there who seemed to have made it his personal goal in life to pick on Blake. It made hanging out on the grounds less relaxing and more put Blake on edge.
However suddenly coming upon two other people in the clearing was a little bit jarring to Blake. With a shocked look all over his face he looked from one to the other. One was clearly at ease, just settling in for his lunch. The other looked less then happy to him. He wondered if they knew each other but felt awkward either way. They weren't sitting together so it wasn't like he could go maybe join both of them and say hi, though doing so would be out of character, picking one over the other to talk to was awkward too. Walking away wasn't even an option even if Blake could sneak pretty much silently. That would just seem weird if either did happen to notice him. So instead he stood there awkwardly wondering what he should do. Finally he settled on maybe just a quick hello.
"Uh... hello. I didn't expect to see people here."

Corben, blissfully unaware of anyone else's presence, began to munch on his salad. He was about a fourth of the way through before he noticed Blaine. He quirked a brow and tilted his head. What was that guy doing? Salad bowl and fork firmly grasped in both hands, he stood up and shuffled closer to the other kid. He narrowed his eyes, looking awfully confused, but then a metaphorical light bulb went off in his head.
"HEY. Are you photosynthesizing?" A large grin spread across his face, showing his unusually sharp teeth. But of course, before he could traipse through the underbrush to get close to poor Blaine, the voice of yet another person interrupted him.
Corben turned his head to look over his shoulder. Wow, what a pink fellow. The grin widened, if it were at all possible. "HELLO!" He waved, of course with the hand that held the fork. He was not going to waste such a delicious salad, after all. "Wow I didn't even know people came up here, I'm Corben who're you? And you?" He nodded at Blake, and then looked around back to Blaine, staring in a most pointed fashion.
Unfortunately for Blaine and Blake, Corben did not have the faintest idea of how to interact politely with others, and so it was probably in their best interests to flee the scene.

Everything seemed to have been going well or at least for a little while until he was surprised with voices. Blaine's eyes popped open and his wings spread open as the boy nearly fell off the table. He shivered lightly from fright as he thought to run for it and even more as he saw Corben's sharp teeth. The archangel looked from one boy to he other, not wanting to lose sight of either of them. With a shaky hand Blaine went to grab his coat. There was no way that he wanted to poison anyone today or anytime soon so the least he could do is cover up.
With his coat and scarf off he was going to make his way off the table when Corben asked both boys a question. He looked around confused then pointed to himself. Was he actually being asked for his name? He got why the other boy got asked by he didn't understand why he himself was asked. "Do you mean me too?" Blaine asked still unsure. It was probably seen as a stupid question but he thought it would be best to make sure and no look even more of an embarrassment.
The archangel slid off the edge of the table to stand on the opposite side of both boys to be extra careful. It really made him uncomfortable having the both boys so close to him but he was happy he was being talked to. Though he felt certain that the other two would have no desire to befriend him if they knew his touch could make them sick. Blaine looked to the grown as he nervously played with his fingers and waited to get an answer but then he remembered that he had forgotten to greet the other. Instantly his head popped up to look at Blake and Corben. He was still unsure if he was being talked to but that didn't mean he had to be rude and not greet them. "Oh....umm ssorry....hello." He said and waved awkwardly and that's when it dawned on him that it was probably stupid to greet them so late.

It seemed like Corben was one of those types. Blake knew right away there was no getting out of this easily now and the desire to just turn and flee was rather tempting, especially with those pointy teeth and how nervous the other kid seemed.
"Nice to... meet you Corben?" He couldn't keep the unsure notes out of his voice. "I'm Blake..."
He kept his distance and stayed on his feet just in case his instinct got the better of him and he really did decide to flee. He gave a worried glance over in the other kid's direction. The way that kid was acting seemed so nervous and it was making Blake feel a bit nervous too.

"Of COURSE I mean you too!" He nodded his head a few times, and then looked back to Blake. Oh who was he supposed to pay more attention to? They were both just so interesting looking. He'd never met anyone with wings before, let alone two pairs, or anyone with pink spots on their skin... He settled on Blake, the other boy didn't seem like he'd be getting away any time soon.
Well, with Blake being the one he settled on, Corben skittered a bit closer, still grinning. "Do you come out here often? This is the first time I've been up here, its really nice." He nodded a few more times, clearly looking Blake over from head to toe. Mostly because he didn't really get to see other people very often... but also because... "THAT is a really nice pink you have there I know a lot of flowers with that color, you'd fit in really well with my dad's garden he has a HUGE one and he's teaching me allllll about botany because plants are just the best, aren't they? HEY can I touch your hair???" Of course, he started to reach for it before the question even finished leaving his mouth.

Blaine really was surprised that he was including and maybe a little happy but that didn't mean he would get friendly. Clearing his throat he looked from Corben then to Blake before looking down to the ground before looking at them again. "My name iss Blaine. Ppleasse to meet you." He spoke very softly due to his shy behavior but as he looked to the two he noticed one boy getting close to the other. Blaine kept his eyes on both of them, watching as if a television was right in front of them while he thought if that was how normal people interacted with each other. It was something Blaine envied, wishing he could get closer to others without the fear of possibly hurting them with his touch. If there was someway he could control it, he would be the happiest kid alive yet he didn't think it was possible. For now all he could ever hoped to do was look at other people and observe them like he was now.

Blake nodded in acknowledgment to Blaine but before he could say hi properly he was assaulted by all of Corben's questions. Blake blinked in total disbelief. This kid had gone RIGHT for that pink button and just about stomped on it at hard as he could. Corben wanted to touch his hair?! Why?! Blake's mouth hung open in slight shock before he quickly shut it and gave Corben a dirty look, puffing his cheeks out all annoyed.
"Why do you want to touch my hair?! Why would you even say I'm the color of pink flowers I am not a girl!" He knew it was true his item was a flower though so he tried to calm himself down a little. "I mean yeah I'm made from a foxglove or... whatever so I guess it is the same color but still I don't really like it ok?" He crossed his arms over his chest and eyed Corben warily, ready to fend off any touching. Then he slowly started shifting towards Blaine, he seemed to be the normal one of the pair.

Corben seemed absolutely crestfallen by the denial, but the instant Blake said "foxglove" he immediately perked back up again. "Foxgloves are so cool! I'm conium and datura!" He then buried his hands in his hair. "I get my hair from datura! Well, I guess conium has white flowers too, but yeah." The grin on his face just seemed to keep getting wider and wider...
"I didn't say you were a girl! I know you're not a girl, you don't even sound like a girl." He shrugged, breaking into a bit of a manic giggle fit. He then looked back to Blaine. Probably much to Blaine's dismay, Corben skittered over to him. "He doesn't sound like one does he? I only met one girl though, she was ruuuuude." He shrugged. "HEY can I touch your wings? They're really cool! Can you fly with them?"

Blaine didn't mind it much when Blake moved closer to him since he still kept his distance but what he did mind was when Corben came closer. At that moment he began to shake like a left. He quickly shook his head, too scared to actually reply to him. Blaine wasn't sure if it was just Corben's vibe, his sharp teeth, or that he was so close to him. Though he knew that when he was asked the other questioned he had to answer properly or else he would be seen as rude. Taking a deep gulp and shaky breath he began to talk. "Ssure you can." He paused for a moment to extend his wing over to him nervously. He really hoped the boy did nothing bad to his wing like pull it or bite him with those sharp teeth. The very though made him hesitate more but he eventually extended one wing closer to the other. "I can fly too high." As he waited for Corben to touch his wing Blaine looked over to Blake in a scared fashion as if telling him to help or to make sure the other boy wouldn't harm him.

Blake instantly relaxed a little when Corben agreed that he wasn't like a girl at all. That was very important if they were going to be able to get along. His eyes met with Blaine's though as Corben pet Blaine's wings and Blake could see the poor guy was clearly completely terrified. Blake frowned a little to himself before going just a bit closer in case he needed to intervene.
"Must be nice having wings. All my friends have wings and I'm sure as soon as they grow up a bit they'll be able to fly a lot. The closest I'll get is climbing up high in a tree." He paused. "I don't mind though I like being connected to the ground in one way or another." He eyed Blaine's wings. "Still though, it must be pretty cool." It made him think of all the super heroes that could fly and he got kind of a day dreaming look on his face. He let his guard down as he thought about it, not paying as much attention to Corben.
