The sun was just starting to set over the distant waterline, casting a reddish orange glow over the ever lapping waves surrounding Sidekick Academy. You were off minding your own business, doing whatever you normally do during your spare time in the evenings; be that studying, grabbing a bite to eat, hanging out with some friends or running around campus. However, your leisure time was abruptly interrupted as the Academy's warning sirens began blaring to a near deafening level! You had never actually heard the security system go off, although you were well versed in what to do in case of an emergency. While most students immediately retreated to their dorm rooms or began to file into the auditorium like you were always instructed to in case of this sort of situation, you and a few other like-minded individuals headed off in the exact opposite direction. After all, what were heroes, (or heroes in training...) for? Determined to find out what was going on for yourselves without waiting around with everyone else like sheep, you unite and your small group stops momentarily to consider the best course of action. Where do you and your companions decide to head off to next?
1) Everything looks completely chaotic- it doesn't seem likely to you that anyone knows what's going on. You figure it would be a waste of time to depend on anything other than your own pair of eyes, opting to search around campus for the source of the disturbance yourself. If you could find somewhere high and get to a better vantage point, maybe you could scope out whatever was going on.
2) It made the most sense to head on over to Sidekick Academy's headquarters and try to see if there was any official explanation there. After all, if anyone knew what was going on, it would be the Founders and the full fledged heroes, right? If you worked quickly, perhaps you could arrive there before any other students, getting a one up on them and potentially impressing your mentors...!
3) You spot one of the Academy's teachers, Doppelgang, speaking to a group of students in a frenzy. Waving his arms around wildly as he spoke, it seemed like the kids surrounding him were focused intensely on his words. You suggest heading over to see if the shape shifter had any useful information, seeing as he's the only adult anyone can seem to find at the moment.
Feel free to rp your characters meeting and grouping up however you see fit, but don't forget to make your decision before the next bit is posted! The next set of options will be posted on the 14th, roughly around this time. Have your votes in by then~ Remember to make your character's choice clear and in bold, using the number listed above somewhere in your post! If you do not, your vote won't be counted.

Christmas. Holding a decorative flashlight in her hands she started up the path back to the academy. She had gotten the blue and green flashlight with the little tree on it as a gift, which knocked one more friend off her shopping list. While the concept was still a little alien to her, Rhea had explained to her a lot more which made things a lot clearer than last year. Now she finally realized why Hack had kissed her cheek at the dance, though even if she knew it still made her blush. The dark-haired hero was handsome after all and as of late Violet was starting to take notice of the opposite sex's appearance. Though this was only natural for her after all, the little alien was of the marrying age home-world wise at least.
With a lazy smile and sway Violet was quickly approaching the academy doors. Swinging the flashlight by the string attached to it Violet hummed part of the jingle bell song she could remember while moving, however when the loud blaring of the alarm sounded the thistle colored girl winced and shot her hands up to cover her ears. The loud wailing of the alarm slipped through the cracks between her fingers further assaulting her ears, grimacing beady blacks frantically looked around for any sign of something wrong.
Not being able to spot anything around her that could be immediate danger she rose a brow in curiosity. Violet knew that she was suppose to head to the auditorium but...but she just couldn't, her curiosity was getting the better of her and besides it wouldn't hurt to peek about right? Looking towards her left she notices Mr.Dopplegang and a few children surrounding him as he flailed wildly as if telling a story. Gripping her flashlight Vi bit the inside of her cheek taking a step towards the clearly excited in her option teacher before pausing.
There were so many around him already so many that she had to wonder if she would even be able to get close enough to hear the man speak. Thinking fast her eyes trailed to the roof, maybe if she could get up higher she could see something, anything that might explain why the alarm was ringing! Deciding on heading to higher ground which was the roof Violet started back towards the academy doors intent on climbing to the top and looking out from the roof top.
((Vi picks option number one ))

After much scurrying around, you and your small band of gifted youths manage to sneak and climb your way up to get a better view of Sidekick Academy's island. You were high enough to see beyond the reaches of the school grounds, past the sprawling booby trapped path leading up to the school and the jungle forests that ran parallel alongside it. To the west you could even clearly make out one of the two smaller, nameless islands that dotted the Academy's shore. As your eyes focused on the inhibited piece of land, your jaw dropped; there were two vaguely disk shaped aircrafts hovering just above the treetops, and a third was already settled on the beach. They were roughly blimp sized, a light metallic grey and rather alien looking... Confounded and buzzing with excitement from your discovery, you and your team once more have a choice to make and much to discuss.
1) Clearly, those ships over there aren't friendlies. Why else would the Academy be using it's emergency sirens? It was time to buckle down, 'cause things were about to get real. It seemed obvious enough to you that this was some sort of invasion, and so you should prepare for such. You were heroes in training after all and you weren't about to forget that; it was time to prove yourself! You express your desire to tackle the situation head on by finding one of the intruders yourselves. Whether it's a fight they want or just to talk, you'll be prepared and ready for action!
2) Well, you don't know for sure one way or another what was going on. Maybe whoever was on those UFOs meant no harm? While the sirens blaring in your ear seem to suggest otherwise, you think it's best to investigate further- from a safe distance, of course. The jungle made great cover, maybe you and your companions could sneak closer (hopefully without being spotted yourselves!) for a better look.
3) This is all too much... You want to help, but the looming UFOs in the west have you shaken up for one reason or another. There was no way you were going towards them! People like the Founders dealt with stuff like that, not lil' ol' you. So you suggest hanging back by the outskirts of the Academy to keep watch, ensuring that the school grounds and students inside were kept guarded.
Don't forget to make your decision before the next bit is posted! The next set of options will be posted on the 17th, roughly around this time. Have your votes in by then~ Remember to make your character's choice clear and in bold, using the number listed above somewhere in your post! If you do not, your vote won't be counted.

Avalbane had been minding her own business outside of the academy, just wondering around and enjoying the air. Everything felt nice outside, especially the cold air, it reminded her of home. She just wanted to sit out and watch the sky and people wondering around. That was until the sirens went off. It was all too much for her to take. Each student had been taught what to do, but with all the noise and panic, she couldn't remember where to go or what to do! Instead, she saw someone she recognized, Violet.
Yes! That was her answer. She would just follow Violet, this young girl would know what to do. That is exactly what Ava did too. She followed behind Vi until she started climbing on top of a building. It was odd, but then she got an idea of what was going on. Violet was checking out what was causing the alarms to go off, and as a sidekick, Ava should too!
Looking around at the view, Ava was trying to take it all in. Oi wow It was all she could think. Then, turning her attention to the west, she saw them. Big disks floating in the air and heading right for Sidekick Academy. Letting out a small gasp, she looked to Violet, "Why are dare floatin' disks? A-Are dohs more aliens?" She wasn't use to floating disk shaped things.
It was odd. If these were more aliens, why were the alarm sirens going off? These students probably just wanted to enroll. Just like the students from before. Just like Violet and her friends? Or maybe not. The alarms had to be going off for a reason, but Avalbane needed to know more. "We shud git closer. I-It might..um.. be gran' ter 'ide an' see wat is 'eadin' on?" Obviously she was nervous, and scared. However, maybe they were good aliens. No reason to attack people who haven't done anything yet. Hiding was a great idea, because then she could run if things got terrible. Hopefully Violet would be up for that idea.
(( Avalbane chose option 2 ))

Sadly Violet had dropped the decorative flashlight gift somewhere between her excitement and climbing the roof of the school. Hearing something behind her Vi looks back and smiles to her roommate she sees on her heels. Ava! It was good to see a familiar face in all the chaos. Standing now on the roof Violet too looks over the view and spots the ships. Hearing Ava's words she turns to the other girl and shakes her head in a no motion, "I not know...but likely yes?" She didn't really know if they were aliens like her and Ava just that they were driving space ships. Humans had their own space travel didn't they? At the distance she could only make the shape of the disk out herself so when Ava mentioned getting closer the thistle colored girl nodded her head.
As she moved back to climb down from the roof her hair sagged a little as she started to worry. The siren was going off for a reason right? Perhaps these whatever they were had already shown signs of being hostile? But maybe they were just like her and the other nova students? Just lost aliens? Confused aliens, scared aliens! Thoughts raced ninety to nothing in her head as she responded, "actually I think that's good idea...lets go!" Biting her lip she looks over the area from the roof once more and points to the jungle, "there, lets go there.." The thick trees would provide them good cover to sneak up after all. With that and a smile to Ava Violet started back down the roof and towards the jungle.
(( Vi picks number 2 as well ))

You and your team mates slowly crawled through the jungle, being careful not to make too much noise or leave much of a trail behind you. The lush forest surrounding you seemed totally and completely deserted, which made the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end; you knew the aliens were around here somewhere, you had seen their ships after all! You were starting to give up all hope when you saw a blur of moving colour off in the distance. Tugging your friends down into the shrubbery for cover, you all peer over at an unfamiliar figure creeping equally carefully towards the school some ways from you. They weren't from Sidekick Academy, and they sure as heck didn't look human; target acquired! It seems like they hadn't noticed you, so now what?
1) Attaaaaack! Those jerks are going down! You were confident your team could take on a lone alien. Not that you were planning on really hurting them- ideally, you'd like to get them all nice and tied up for questioning.
2) You suggest trying to approach them in a peaceful manner. Perhaps your arms up in the air- that was universal, right? The only way this was going to end well for everyone involved was if communication between the two Academies was opened as quickly as possible.
3) Continue to hide, and when the alien moved onto the next area, follow them from a safe distance. For one reason or another you're not ready to jump in to action quite yet- you'd rather examine the alien from afar, having no intention of losing your target.

Crawling through the jungle wasn't Violets idea of fun, plus it was kind of creepy to be perfectly honest. Peering to her side for Ava she smiled a weak smile before noticing some movement in the corner of her beady eye, grabbing for Ava the thistle colored girl hunkered down and bit her lip. Aliens. More aliens, there was a rush of both excitement and fear because Violet knew better than anyone that not aliens were friendly and since she couldn't make them out to well at this distance she had to be just a little cautious but.
But she was an alien and knew many alien languages so maybe...maybe they could try communication! She was an aspiring hero right? Right! Turning to Ava she whispered softly, "we should..try talk?" Turning to the other, older member of the group Violet held up her hand and pulled down her glove revealing her government marking, " have experience..." She was trying to tell him that she had experiences in the matter of extraterrestrial communication and hoped that the man would trust in her even if she was young and still new. Her green locks stared to sway a little furiously above her head the more anxious she got.
(( Violet chooses number 2 ! ))

You barely had the chance to slink after the figure in the distance before it dashed off deeper into the jungle, obviously startled by something- although you aren't sure exactly what since you thought you were being awfully sneaky. You managed to catch a glimpse of it's large, yellow, almost mirror-like eyes before it disappeared into the foliage, heading away from the Academy. Now what?
1) Pursue it! You were looking for aliens, right? You weren't too sure what you did see, but if you moved quickly maybe you could catch up with it.
2) Do nothing. It went away from the Academy, after all! Perhaps if you stood around for a bit, it would return? For all you knew, it was watching you right now...
3) You suggest that you and your friends call out for the alien. Hopefully it would recognize that you meant no harm!
4) IF SOMEONE HAS A FLASHLIGHT, you take it out and wonder aloud if shining it into the jungle would reflect off the alien's shiny eyes- on the off chance it was watching you from a safe spot, at any rate.
Don't forget to make your decision before the next bit is posted! The next set of options will be posted on the 25th, roughly around 4am. Giving in she followed the older hero and bit her lip. Lazily hunkering down Violet peeked into the thick jungle as they tracked or sort of tracked, before they could even get started the unknown visitor in the distance was gone. That speed! Violets mouth gaped slightly and she blinked startled still before glancing towards the older of the group and giving a soft frown. Catching sight of the large yellow eyes she froze blinking before shaking her head and moving a little closer to Ava on instinct.
Eyeing the foliage the being disappeared into she sighed softly, tired already and not having done much work. Heroing was hard when you were use too much slower paced government work she thought a little downhearted for just a moment. Giving a shake of her head Violet inhaled deeply refusing to give up, even if a nap in the safe auditorium sounded nicer. Smiling with a small new-found confidence she peeked over the area the alien had disappear towards again. No sign..
Yet!
With an idea popping into mind Violet took out the flashlight she had with her and wondered aloud while pushing up the button, "would light reflect off large eyes?" It wasn't the best worded but perhaps Ava would understand what she was asking if the other member of their group did not? Green locks floated above Violet's head and swayed back and forth gently with the small breeze that kicked up seeming as anxious as the little alien that gripped the flashlight.
( Vi picks 4 ! Hope I did that right > 3 < <33 )

Idea time! Pulling out any flashlights your team had smartly packed away, Team Astro Claw agreed that they were their best shot. You and your team mates held your breath in unison as you shone your flashlight into the deep green foliage of the forest, barely making a peep as you awaited some sort of reaction from the alien entity that you had been stalking- or in the very least, another glimpse of it. Hearts pumping with adrenaline, you waited, but the only response from the forest was a few cricket chirps. Flicking the flashlight on and off a few times for good measure, you and your team shone the beam of light across the treetops, down over the trampled undergrowth, and pretty much every inch of greenery you could see from where you stood- but to no avail. It seemed like the alien you had been tailing had indeed gotten away...
The sun was beginning to set over the waterline in the distance, reflecting a warm bright orange light. It was getting late, and at some point the warning sirens had stopped wailing- although they still rung painfully in your ears. Your bodies ached from the long day of running around, so heading back to home base seemed like the most appealing course of action. Agreeing to return to Sidekick Academy you and your small group of heroes trudge back empty handed, but certainly with exciting stories to tell. Besides, the adventure wasn't over yet... who knew what was in store for them back at the Academy's headquarters?
Once more we'd like to apologize for the delay in wrapping up the CYOA, and thank you for your patience! The long overdue final posts for each of the individual teams are now up- you are free to roleplay in these threads if you would still like. An event conclusion post, along with prizes, should be up within the next week or so. Thank you for participating, despite our hiatus we hope you had fun!
