Livesound was a city without sleep. Not to be confused for the sort of land filled with those that refused to sleep- simply that sleep was an impossibility when you had noisy stones errupting at all hours of the morning. Every morning, at six-am the thin opening down the road to Izanagi's house would widen and noise would blast out. Obnoxious noise that even a snorlax would have trouble using their narcoleptic sleeping habits to get through.

You could tell it was morning, and a bright one at that, because the light that was humming from the underground--- whatever it was that was down there-- was particularly saturated and bright today. For Izanagi, who spent most of his days asleep and most of his nights tending to (-ill-tempered, poorly behaved, teeming masses-) dark-type gijinka, it was a particularly hideous such morning. He'd already applied two cups of caffeine to his metabolism in the hopes of reminding it, subtley, that today he was going to be on day shifts for a while. Yay day-shifts. enthusiasm oozed somewhere inside his heart.

"Stupid damn vending machine is out of shitty coffee." He hissed at the nurse tending reception in the clinic. His dark carmine gaze settled on the little chart of paper she handed him and his lips curled into what was not even passably a smile (his frown lines didn't deepen at least) and he looked down at his next patient's name.

"Aesir?" It was that same, exotic tone of someone in a fast-food counter announcing 'next' or 'number 62 please.'

Aesir limped over, favoring his left foot-paw. The clotheless furry had stepped on a vine of thorns that had bitten into his paw pad and gotten stuck. He curled his tail about himself, feeling a bit embarrassed about his state of dress. It wasn't exactly easy to make clothes when you were uneducated and lived in a world of flora where supplies to make clothing were little. It was more important to him to have his berries and his berry-colored inks. He himself was bare of tattoos, since he found fur a bit of a challenge to ink around. Another factor of why he was tattoo free, he'd never do his own tattoos, and he was the only tattoo artist around.

The doctor turned and led his patient down the hallway. He opened the door to his room and nodded that the limping Leafeon inside.

"Sit down on the bed. I'd tell you to roll your sleeves up but conveniently you have none to roll up." He sat in his little rolling chair and laid Aesir's details in front of him. "So, what did you do to your paw?"

Aesir sat on the bed. "Thorns," he replied, sitting back to show the doctor his feet. "Think I'll be able to walk on it again soon? I need to get back home to check on my berries."

Izanagi rolled forward and moved to take a firm grip of the injured paw, intending to bend the other's leg so he could see it better.

"I'm sure your berries can survive the harsh outside world without your constant care for a few days." He paused, frowning down at the other's foot. "And to answer your question-- no. It looks infected. Hold still."

He leaned back and opened his bottom drawer, pulling out a large pair of tweezers and then reached for the industrial sized Bernadine he kept on the desk. He paused. "Are you allergic to any medications?"

"I wouldn't know, I haven't had any 'medications' before," he admitted, folding his arms. He didn't like the thought of not being able to work on his garden. Leaving it untended brought the unwanted attention of hungry bug types and others who had no idea of the word property. His garden would probably be stripped of berries by the time he got home and he was running out of seeds.
