Kleos stared, and blinked. "I.... What, really?" Oh. She hadn't thought that... well this was... this wasn't exactly what she had expected. She hadn't even for a moment thought that Siata might be interested in her in that sort of a way. Now she felt like an utter fool, and as though she'd somehow been cruel as well.
"Well I'm... glad." That had sounded terribly awkward, but Kleos was at least glad that she hadn't jerked her hand away or something.
She still rather wanted to move the conversation on.
"Even if they cannot directly punish me, I will not be visible during a turbulent time and the traitor escaped from under Moriath's nose." The young silver rider had tackled their other companion to the ground. 'Keep her safe' from being harmed by the blue. Kleos chewed her lip, wondering if she was just being paranoid or if that truly was a cause for concern.

"Note to self: be less subtle." Siata nodded as much as she could, grin still in place and genuine as ever. Her face hurt. The idea of Kleos jerking her hand away never occurred to her and if she had...well, they'd have had a very sorry Siata. She didn't like making people uncomfortable like that.
Bright eyes squinted over at Kleos again, dark browns knitted together. "Thought...but y'said wasn't her fault. Someone else. Can't blame you f'r others stupid, else wed all be in trouble. Can't take blame f'r everything."

"Leaders can, and leaders do," Kleos replied with a small shake of her head. "Perhaps... perhaps I should have been with Moriath to manage the human side of things. If I had been with her however, would the battle with the tunnelsnake have differed? Ha," she gave a short laugh - a long one would have hurt - and smiled ruefully, adding; "It would certainly have had to find somebody else to focus its initial ire upon. I don't believe that I chose wrongly, but regardless a situation my bondmate was involved with turned sour for us. Those who like to believe that only bronzes and silvers are fit to lead in military matters will take note... as will those from Benden who believe it should be the sole territory of bronzes."
Moriath scoffed,
Smiling faintly Kleos shook her head and focused back on Siata, having zoned out a little as she listened to her dragon. "Moriath too tells me I am concerning myself too much. Perhaps the two of you are right."
As the scarred wingleader spoke there was a soft 'pop!' of air being displaced, and abruptly a small blue firelizard was swooping down to land on his mistress' knees with a little chirp. This brought a slightly brighter smile to the blonde's face and she reached down to scratch him between the wings. "Hello Ice dear," she murmured, "I'm sure you think I worry too much too, don't you?"
