It has been a couple days since the last raid, the rush was still a strong feeling. The need to go, to move was very much in every fiber of the tan colored buck as he moved through the warm warren tunnels. He made sure not to bump into anyone and tried not to go flat out as if the Black Rabbit were on his tail. But he needed to get outside and burn off the energy. Breaking for the exit, Talltale burst into the cold that nearly stopped him in his tracks. brrr, it was FREEZING! Shaking his head, he worked warmth into his limbs before taking off through the fresh powder that laid on the ground. He didn't stray too far from the warren in case he needed to get inside in a hurry. But it felt great to be outside, even in the cold.
The sky over head was gray with clouds that spat out the small white flakes that blanketed the ground. The wind blew even colder as the day wore on, but the buck only stopped a couple of times to catch his breath, he just felt unproductive. And some how... He didn't like not being able to do anything. Crouching close to the warren hole, he laid in the snow. lost in thought.

Feverfew was not happy about certain things, though she didn't dare gripe about them to other rabbits - not now. There was a place and time for everything, though now was not the time nor place and she stewed in frustrated silence. The flay-rah she had brought home from the raid had long since been divvied out to does that were silly enough to kitten so near to winter and she'd not had a bite of it herself, she'd been more concerned with the health of the kittens.
The doe had gathered dried flowers and roots in her own burrow, but for now, she needed to get out and get some fresh air. She was hungry, but didn't want to squander her own cache. Maybe she could find something to eat above ground? Perhaps some bark or grasses that hadn't yet rotted away completely in the cold. She almost didn't notice the tan buck that was also above ground, a fellow she had only recently raided with. She caught a glint of him moving out of the corner of her eye and nearly bolted for safety... But it was just Talltale. She abandoned her fruitless search for flay to bound nearer to the buck, a faint smile on her features.
"Good afternoon."

Ears twitched as a voice came to them, Talltale hadn't yet noticed the doe that had approached him. Nose twitching at the air a moment his blue eyes opened to spot the doe that had been in his team. He had yet to really catch her name, but then again, there were still a good many that he didn't know. "Oh, Hi there. Chilly day, ain't it?" he grinned straightening up a little, "How have you faired since this last raid?"

"Just a n**, can't wait until the snow melts and the grass sprouts anew. This cold, I just ain't too fond of it." She agreed, that faint smile growing ever so slightly as she moved nearer to the buck. He was a handsome fellow, now that she had the time to look him over without worrying about a cat ripping her to shreds or being carried off by some mangey farm mutt. Still, she was too stewed to properly enjoy the meeting just yet, even if she didn't outwardly express it.
"I've been well enough. Resting inside the runs, listening to stories, the like. Too crowded in that warren sometimes, though. Wanted to get out and stretch, maybe see if I can't find some flay that hasn't rotted through, yet. Care to join me? How've you been, anyhow? Talltale, wasn't it?"

Talltale watched Feverfew as she came closer to him. She spoke of warmer times, yes he couldn't wait either. When the snows were gone and green was on the Down again. And food wasn't so far and few between. Sitting up a little, feeling the cold rush in to fill the space that had been warm, Tall shivered.
"Yes, the warren can get a bit crowded at times, with all the new mouths to feed, everything's going faster then normal. I do feel sorry for the marlis that had kittened in this dreadful time." He looked back towards the hole he had been laying near. "Flay sounds good right about now, trying to keep my little stockpile from going only a couple days. I'm sure we can find something." He nodded to the doe.
His ears twitched as she spoke his name, more times then not, it was spoken in a way to get him moving. Doing something that wasn't just laying around, he wasn't the very big do'er, though endured participating in the raids for Flay-rah. "Yes, that is what I have been called many a times. Though in a more angry voice and often rather loudly. And you are Feverfew, if I am to guess correctly, though there are many in the warren and I only know a scant few. I have been alright, for the most part, bored for the other part. Everyone has cozied down this cold season, while I feel the need to move."
Taking a glance towards the skies, then around the tree they were under, or at least he was under. Talltale made sure that there wasn't much of a danger about before looking back towards the doe. "I know where a few roots might be found, and perhaps winter berries that might still be in season, if nothing else has taken off with them."
