Kurtis raised an eyebrow, a second year meister with no weapon that was rare these day, almost as rare as a third year weapon without a partner...
Kurtis was always careful with who he told his name too, as Einheiser was a well known name, his father was a trading tycoon, owning many shipping companies the world over. Attending the DWMA was against what his father had planned for him, so Kurtis had been disowned forthwith. Even so Kurtis had been without a partner since the first day at the academy, even with his natural ability to adjust his Soul Wavelength.
He'd had many people approach him, seeking to become partners, but they were all so childish, all seeking to become the greatest of the the great, this girl, who'd identified herself as Scindo, was different. It may have just been the way she handled herself, but from what he'd seen of her soul, her motivations were something she held in high regards. Plus when was already armed with a rapier at her hip, suggesting at least some level of proficiency with the weapon, much better than others at the academy.
Taking a deep breath, to settle his nerves for what he was about to do, Kurtis smiled apologetically, "My apologies Frau Munio, I didn't mean to sound rude.", Kurtis stood up properly, offering his hand to shake to Scindo, "My name's Kurtis Einheiser, 18, third year and a rapier-type weapon. I believe that fits what you were looking for?"
