We are beginning an experiment to re-release items from crusty old banned accounts through an NPC in the Marketplace. We anticipate that this will have the effect of reducing inflation as gold is removed from the system. The second reason for this doing this is that we get to get some of those tasty legacy items back into circulation so they can continue to be enjoyed by the community. Initially, Bid Blast was built to serve this purpose but we are unhappy with its performance and believe we can do the job more efficiently through Marketplace.

The list was built with only minor prejudice so it is normal to see items that are not worth very much. We'll be starting slowly and ramping up the throughput as we learn more about the effects.

I'll leave it up to you guys to find the NPC :].

We are not actually taking these from banned accounts, we are simply adding items that have fallen out of circulation back in by creating limited numbers back into the system.

DARKNRGY
The items are not actually removed from the accounts. As a general rule we don't modify existing accounts in this way. I built a list of item, quantity and am using that as a pool of items. Technically the items are re-generated. This has the effect of not breaking old accounts in case they are un-banned while still getting us a legitimate pool of real items.

So, I'm sure that we're all curious about this.
If anyone has any insight, I'd love to hear it. I myself am actually curious as to where this NPC might be hidden, and I'm also curious as to what sales they will have.
Feel free to discuss.

Haha, I like that they brought Flynn back for it. And holy crap, what do I have to do in order to get that many slots in my store? cat_gonk

I'd love that many spaces for my Store; especially for when I'm doing an entire Inventory clean out.
I think it's specialized for that account, though.

I think so too. NPCs get all the perks.

The items are all for bid and they are all overpriced!

They're actually not. All the listings seem to start close to O GaiaGold. The bids just increase quickly, and then prove to surpass, or come near to surpassing, the LBP or ABP of an item.

I checked some of them out, maybe some of them are close, but some are way over market gold prices. Depends on the item

by clueless Gaians bidding way over both, they use the place as a gold sink
not enough of a sink, but it's a try :/
