The Train carries goods to and from the Capitol, transports Peacekeepers, and carries tributes to the Capitol.

Irina held tightly onto her brother as the trains whistle blew again.
"Don't go!" his little voice rasped.
"I have to." she whispered. "I promise I'll come back, you take care of yourself."
She felt her aunts wrinkley hand pull her brother away and he yelped. Irina went to grab him but a Peacekeeper threw her into the train. She stared out the window at him as they slowly made their way to The Capitol.

Corduroy Thispan || District 8

Corduroy held on to his mother for dear life. He had never been as scared as he was at this moment. He'd never see his parents again and they'd only see him on television getting slaughtered. Tears and snot ran down his face as he cried loudly. Once they got to the train, the peacekeeper separated them, which took a good amount of time, and threw Corduroy on it. When Cord got on, he looked at the window and waved goodbye to his parents...forever.
