So I just got back from a mass choir rehersal for all of the high school concert choirs in my area. My friend and I are from the same choir and we were the only two that went to this one. She is an alto. We seriously were the only ones that knew our music and had any idea what was going on. The soprano section sounded like dieing screatching cats. gonk it was terrible.

DISCUSS:

bad choir rehersals

people that just make you want to hudle up in a corner when they sing

and people who just dont care and make the whole song sound terrible

Aww, I'm so sorry confused

In honor choir this past year the soprano's didn't know some of the songs, but my school came in and knew everything and were probably the best school there (But we're a small school, with other small schools) I was there to play the congas for one song, and once I finally got to come in and play with the song (Psalm 47), everyone was staring at me (and my bright red hands after playing it over and over)

But, yeah. There are so many people who ARE NOT GOOD AT SINGING. Like one girl, who think she is insanely good, got into music theatre for large group speech. And she was the second loudest singer as one of the two altos (the sop2s didn't know their part and didn't sing it at contest, I was the only sop1). She was so off it hurt to be in there having to pretend we're doing everything perfect when she's butchering the song.

Ow.

I've had that happen. District was horrid when I was in it because my school was the only one that even had an inkling of an idea what we were doing and all we had was like 5 hours to learn the songs and choralography that went with them. It was scary.

Ugh! This happened to me before! In my school, there are three different groups for choirs. I am in the top one. Well, for a competition, we had the top choir and the middle one combined to enter the one for big groups.

Once we learned our music and joined the other group, we were shocked. The other group sang way out of tune, practically yelled their parts, and sang as loud as they could so they could hear themselves. And they had terrible diction.

Some of the people in the middle group were very good, but there were also bad ones. sad

I hate it when some people just kill songs, and then you give them some pointers and they get all mad at you.
