Blood and foam flecked his muzzle as he dropped his still-kicking quarry. Wounded, he was confident he could come back and finish it off later. For now though, there were other rabbits to be had...
Target:
Charcoal Ray Kalei Camellia

The smell of blood was overwhelming as he looked over to see his previous rabbit trying to escape.
The rabbit he had assumed dead.
He wouldn't make that mistake twice.
Plucking up the buck and ignoring the doe trying to aid him, he gripped the rabbit's throat and shook.
.... (I am so sorry Ray...) ---------------------------------- All other rabbits, you have about 5 minutes to post getting your tail out of here before the dog decides to drop what's left of Ray and come after another rabbit.

The dog let go, and she dropped like a rock onto the ground. RUN! RUN! that's all there is in her mind. Scrambling to her feet, she ran as fast and awkwardly as her injured legs would let her. "Anywhere is fine. As long as i'm out of sight.. " she gasped. And kept pushing her aching body to run away. She picked up the scent of her team and went the opposite way, leaving a trail of her own warm blood, in case the dog decided to go in for another kill. She wouldn't want him to find the others.. Struggling to keep up with her breathing, she smelled a familiar smell getting stronger...

When coal made it the scene he whined in desperation. The storyteller was dying. The dog had gotten him worse that the nips he'd received. He moved to distract the dog so someone could pick up the bleeding storyteller. "Come one everyone. RUN! Find a way to trap the dog and run!" ....too late...dead storyteller. He tried to herd the other. "RUN!?"

The Owsla's jaw literally dropped when Ray left the safety of the cover and wandered back out to where the dog could get him. She refused to let herself think. She'd cry about it in her burrow later, but for now, she had three wounded rabbits- one of them quite severely- to get home. Sprinting out to Camellia's downed form, she hoisted up the other doe to help her home. "That was too close. We have to get out of here NOW." Lamb's Ear's brave face fell when the buck she'd helped to save was snapped up by the dog again. In the chaos and confusion, so many had been hurt. More would die out here if they didn't get moving. "A-a-alright, everybody," she stammered. "Let... let's move out." She began to run again, trying to lead her friends and family home... but her tail flagged just a little big lower and her ears drooped. Her heart had joined the thousand, but she wouldn't stop running today.

It was too late -- the old buck was gone. Horrified, Kalei turned tail and ran.

Snakeroot had heard the plop, hadn’t had time to even contemplate the dog going after another, and before she had a chance to blink, he had finished off Ray. She gazed on for a moment at all the blood and the zorn that had become of this raid, before taking to the fence with Anis. She snatched up the forgotten flay-rah and dashed back toward the warren behind Anis. Her head was fuzzy and filled with red, things she would never forget, but that could not be helped.

Ani chocked as she watched the dog go after the old buck once more. She turned her head as the old buck was shaken, she didn’t say anything. All she did was run, sprinting as fast as she could across the barn yard and to safety back to where she had stashed her flay-rah. She was gone before the dog even put Ray down.
