Personality: Amnesty is known throughout the school as the deceptively charming optimist, happy-go-lucky and cunningly manipulative at once. She likes to have fun, whether it be blackmailing people, arranging flowers, or incinerating things, and never does anything out of obligation. Her actions are based solely on what she desires, despite what she may often tell others. Though largely out for self-gain, she does occasionally sympathize with others, and has been known to use her manipulative prowess to help out a friend in need. She sees no problem with deceiving and molding others to meet her wishes, and likes to cite the theory of natural selection when confronted about it.
History: Amnesty discovered at a young age that fire and electricity were the best playmates. While her preschool peers smashed blocks and drooled on the furniture, she stole lighters out of the adults' pockets and set babydoll hair on fire. A year later she figured out how to short-circuit the electricity in her elementary school and send the entire building into a power outage for hours, with an added bonus of this strange thing called an "electric shock" that made her feel dreamy and content. Since then, she has adored setting things on fire, watching them explode, melt, bubble, and writhe, and likewise loves the feeling of electricity pulsing through her veins, though it has questionable effects on her mental health. In her free time as a child, she wandered unsupervised through her town, lighting things on fire and sneaking through peoples' open windows to play with their circuit breakers and outlets. She managed to charm her way out of all devastation she left in her path, but her parents eventually had enough of her pyromaniacal tendencies and strange addiction to electricity, and sent her to Quarter Hill at age twelve.
She has been there since, trapped over winter and summer break since her parents don't want her back. Having been at the school for longer than many students, and some teachers, she holds a small position of social power; she knows everyones' secrets, and uses them all to her advantage. If a student so much as mentions the fact that she looks like a twelve year old, she can corner them into social rejection for months. Many teachers have given up on taking her fire-making things away from her, since she always finds new ones, and it's difficult to keep anyone away from electricity when it's everywhere, but she usually stays off the issue radar anyway.
Skills: Making fire from almost nothing; electrical circuitry (the school never has to hire an electrician, she gets the job done. And causes the disaster); social prowess.
Issues: Pyromaniac, electricity-maniac?, manipulator without a conscience.
Likes & Dislikes: Likes - Fire, electricity, socializing, arranging flowers, getting to know people, making mischief, autumn sunlight. Dislikes - Rats, rain, mud, isolation.
Fears & Weaknesses: She is terrified of the thought of being alone, despite the fact that she uses and deceives everyone around her; rats make her scream, run and throw up if she can't get away fast enough; dead electrical sockets make her cry violently.
Extra: She is not inherently intelligent, like most of the other students. She actually does quite poorly in her classes.
