Anali sat to the side of the previously empty Hatching Sands, leaning forward with her chin in her hand while she watched her dragon. Banshidheth was conducting her own personal inspection of the Weyr - oh, ahem, Wherhold - or at least the parts of it into which a large gold could fit. The Sands were first on her list, mostly because she wasn't hungry yet, or in particular need of a bath. She had had a very thorough one of those just two days prior, as he rider had taken great care to ensure that they both looked their best before travelling Benden to meet their new allies face to face for the first time.
They'd arrived yesterday morning, and spent almost all of their day meeting with those in charge. This was the first they'd had any appreciable amount of time to themselves since then, but even so, it was still straight to business. They would have a good look around their new home, acclimate themselves, and begin the long process of getting to know the rest of Benden's inhabitants - and tomorrow, they would visit Malvren as well. Leaving Telgar had meant leaving twelve turns of hard work, twelve turns of allies and enemies and all the information she'd gathered on both to use when the need arose. They would be starting from scratch, and in a very different political environment. Far from being daunted by the scope of their task, however, Anali was looking forward to it. It was an intriguing new challenge, and one that had the potential to pay off in spades.
Satisfied? she projected to her dragon, who had spent a good while looking into every nook and cranny she could reach and pawing around in the sand.
Banshidheth was indeed satisfied, having noted the dimensions of the area, and, more importantly, surmised that the temperature was acceptable. She didn't have any immediate interest in making actual use of the Sands, but she was a gold, which essentially made the Hatching Grounds hers, as far as she was concerned. Especially considering she was the only clutching dragon here. They will do.

Tashio was sitting just out of the sunlight. Her wher deeper in the dark, though hard to spot with his dark blue hide. She heard that a rider, a Gold at that, was coming to Benden. Giving her head a shake, the woman stood up. "Come on Tashisk, work to do." Well she was about to head down to start her rounds of training with the young wher, when the light was blocked. Turning ever so slowly, Tashio was not fully surprised to see a dragon blocking it, the Gold to be exact.
Sighing, she went to go make sure that nothing was wrong and signaling to Tashisk to stay back. Hot headed little blue would probably attack the gold and she would be needing to try for another or go to another line of work.

As she was quite busily peering about, it was only a matter of time before Banshidheth realized that they had company. This was inevitable, of course, as Weyrs (and, by extension, Wherholds) were busy places full of people, but also because she was new. She was a curiosity and a rumor, certain to generate interest - and likely suspicion, as well.
The gold went still, and focused on the woman with calm eyes as she sent to her rider, There is someone here.
Anali rose, brushed the sand off of herself, and went to Banshidheth's side, putting on a polite smile to greet the woman with. "Good morning."
